The Arizona Cardinals signed free-agent QB Jeff Matthews (Falcons) to their practice squad Monday, Dec. 15. LB Kion Wilson was released from the practice squad in a corresponding move.
| Footballguys view: Matthews is an interesting addition here. The Cornell QB is big, smart and has a rocket arm. He drew some comparisons to Ben Roethlisberger while in college, and we're monitoring him in super deep dynasty leagues. |

Our very own Cecil Lammey saw Ajirotutu during the week of practice at the Shrine Game in Orlando earlier this year and came away impressed. Ajirotutu is a smooth strider that can get on top of a defense in a hurry. He was working closely with WR coach Keenan McCardell at that game, and seemed to be a fast learner and hard worker. The rookie may have to stick around on the practice squad, but he has upside to be a quality reserve one day. |
