Jaguars | Chris Ivory limited in practice    Wed Sep 28, 04:05 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (ankle, knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Footballguys view: Ivory was banged up in his first game back last week on only 32 snaps. He's someone fantasy owners can drop for better options on the waiver wire. You could even get a better 'lottery ticket' back like Kenneth Dixon instead of carrying Ivory.

Jaguars | No practice for Julius Thomas     Wed Sep 28, 03:49 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (elbow) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Footballguys view: Thomas should be fine -- even though he's banged up....AGAIN. Consider him a low-end TE1 this week against the Colts.

Jaguars | Chris Ivory banged up in Week 3    Wed Sep 28, 01:10 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (knee, ankle) suffered a sprained knee and ankle during the team's Week 3 game against the Baltimore Ravens. He played through the injuries, however, and was able to finish the game.

Footballguys view: Ivory was an interesting late-round pick in your fantasy draft, and there's a ton of you who have already moved on. The Jaguars defense isn't going to keep them in many games, so their rushing attack featuring T.J. Yeldon (and Ivory) won't get fed as much as hoped. The RB position may be thin on the waiver wire i your league, but Ivory isn't a must hold for fantasy owners. See if you can upgrade.

Jaguars | Julius Thomas injured elbow    Mon Sep 26, 07:51 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (elbow) suffered an elbow injury during the team's Week 3 game but was able to finish the game.

Footballguys view: Thomas is banged up quite a bit -- always has been, and likely always will be. Monitor his progress through practice this week before just automatically plugging him into your lineup. The Jaguars take on the Colts this week, but they have a bye in Week 5.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson scores two TDs    Sun Sep 25, 05:57 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson caught seven passes for 57 yards and two touchdowns against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3.

Footballguys view: Robinson had an excellent score that had to be overturned because he only lost control of the ball when the defender dislodged it long after the catch was complete. Even though the Jaguars are struggling to get over the hump as a team, Robinson should remain the #1 red zone target and a weekly WR1 play.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles has uneven performance    Sun Sep 25, 05:52 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles went 24-for-38 for 194 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3. He also rushed for 17 yards on three carries during the game.

Footballguys view: Bortles' fantasy day was saved by Allen Robinson, but otherwise he looked frustrated against the Ravens. He is no longer an everyweek QB1, although the Colts matchup next week could be one to roll the dice with Bortles because of their lack of pass rush and depth in the secondary.

Jaguars | Brandon Linder unlikely to play    Sun Sep 25, 10:57 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars C Brandon Linder (knee) is not expected to play in Week 3's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Footballguys view: The Jaguars offensive line is down two starters, but the Ravens defense hasn't proven itself against a good pass offense yet this year. The result of this game should help us get a better handle on the quality of both the Jaguars pass offense and the Ravens defense.

Jaguars | Chris Ivory listed as questionable    Fri Sep 23, 04:30 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is listed as questionable for Week 3.

Footballguys view: Ivory could return to the field this week, but all that would do is render T.J. Yeldon a much less attractive play this week against Baltimore. The Jags have been terrible trying to run the ball this season, so Ivory and Yeldon are both very weak plays in a timeshare.

Jaguars | Kelvin Beachum out for Week 3    Fri Sep 23, 11:15 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars OT Kelvin Beachum (concussion) was ruled out for Week 3.

Footballguys view: The Jaguars will have to turn to a backup at two offensive line positions this week. The Ravens defense hasn't been the most fierce, but this could still be an issue for the Jaguars passing game.

Jaguars | Chris Ivory takes part in practice    Thu Sep 22, 03:40 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

Footballguys view: TJ Yeldon has been a disappointment with Ivory out, so we expect the veteran back to get a chunk of Yeldon's carries. This is not a good situation to come back to, though, as Baltimore started clamping down last week. We have them both as RB4 plays right now, but we expect Yeldon's value to drop and are optimistic that Ivory can improve the overall run game.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson sits out    Wed Sep 21, 02:43 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (illness) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Jaguars | Chris Ivory back to work    Wed Sep 21, 10:50 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Jacksonville Jaguars OT Kelvin Beachum (concussion) suffered a concussion in the second half of the Week 2 game against the San Diego Chargers. He is being taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Footballguys view: Beachum is the Jags left tackle and he was supposed to represent an upgrade from Luke Joeckel. Jacksonville has the Ravens next week, and they got to Josh McCown enough today to force him from the game twice and possibly cause him to miss time.

Jaguars | Week 2 Inactives    Sun Sep 18, 03:10 PM

The Jacksonville Jaguars have declared QB Brandon Allen, WR Bryan Walters, RB Chris Ivory, LB Chris Smith, OG Chris Reed, CB Prince Amukamara, DL Tyson Alualu inactive for Week 2.

Footballguys view: TJ Yeldon gets the start and will shoulder most of the workload at running back against a weak Chargers run defense. The defense will be down their slot back with Amukamara inactive.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee gaining confidence    Sat Sep 17, 12:43 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee is enjoying the healthiest stretch of his pro career thus far, and the third-year wideout is sensing an increased role on offense this season.

Footballguys view: Lee has natural talent but injuries and inconsistencies have kept him from producing at a high level in the pros. We'll be monitoring him in dynasty leagues, but in re-draft leagues there are better options.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 16, and is not on the injury report for Week 2.

Footballguys view: Thomas has had ankle issues in the past that robbed him of a lot of playing time, so this is a great sign. He's a solid TE1 heading into San Diego this week.

Jaguars | Dante Fowler practices    Fri Sep 16, 11:26 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars DE Dante Fowler (illness) returned to practice Friday, Sept. 16, and was removed from the injury report.

Footballguys view: Fowler did not do much in Week 1, but the Jaguars were playing contain to keep Aaron Rodgers in the pocket. The 2015 first-round pick should be able to pin his ears back and come after Philip Rivers this week.

Jaguars | Prince Amukamara ruled out    Fri Sep 16, 11:24 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars CB Prince Amukamara (hamstring) was ruled out for Week 2 against the San Diego Chargers.

Jaguars | Chris Ivory out for Week 2    Fri Sep 16, 11:23 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) has been ruled out for Week 2 with an undisclosed illness.

Footballguys view: T.J. Yeldon is a solid RB2 against a Chargers defense that let Spencer Ware have a massive day last week despite holding the lead for most of the game.

Jaguars | Chris Ivory says he's 'ready to go'    Thu Sep 15, 06:26 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) said he's 'ready to go' and there are 'no more issues.' He didn't want to go into details about what caused him so much pain that he needed to be taken to the hospital the morning of Sunday, September 11, but he was excited to be back and 'just ready to get back going.'

Footballguys view: Ivory may be ready to go, but we're not going to trust him as a fantasy asset just yet. It looks like T.J. Yeldon could be the lead back once again, this time as the Jaguars travel to face the Chargers in Week 2.

Jaguars | Julius Thomas has full practice    Thu Sep 15, 05:28 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (ankle) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 15.

Jaguars | Chris Ivory not ruled out yet    Thu Sep 15, 02:22 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) has not been ruled out for Week 2 at this point, but head coach Gus Bradley said it would be challenging for Ivory to play in the game.

Footballguys view: While TJ Yeldon wasn't fantastic last week against the Packers, Green Bay's run defense was improved a bit last year and they added talent this season, so that might not mean all that much. We think Yeldon will produce low-end RB1 numbers if Ivory is out against a shaky Chargers defense.

Jaguars | Chris Ivory sitting out    Thu Sep 15, 12:10 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) is not participating in practice Thursday, Sept. 15.

Footballguys view: TJ Yeldon didn't look like a monster against the Green Bay Packers, but he did enough to give you RB2 points. That's what we expect this week against San Diego. He takes a hit if Ivory suits up, but we're not expecting that or, if he does, for Ivory to take many reps.
