Jaguars | Chris Clemons reports, put on NFI    Fri Jul 31, 02:31 PM

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars DE Chris Clemons (undisclosed) reported to training camp one day late, Friday, July 31. He attended practice but did not participate in the morning session.

Footballguys view: Clemons was placed on the non-football injury list, and there is no timetable for his return.

Jaguars | Storm Johnson placed on NFI list    Wed Jul 29, 02:03 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Storm Johnson (undisclosed) was placed on the Non-Football Injury list Wednesday, July 29.

Footballguys view: Johnson needs to get healthy and get on the practice field. He's on the roster bubble this year after the Jaguars added talent like T.J. Yeldon to the backfield. Johnson is trying to stick around as a reserve runner.

Jaguars | Rashad Greene could return punts    Tue Jul 28, 08:25 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Rashad Greene is likely to be the slot receiver, but he'll be in the mix with WRs Tandon Doss and Bryan Walters to return punts.

Footballguys view: We like the rookie fifth-round pick from Florida State. He's an explosive player who can work deep routes. Greene gets by defenders in a hurry, and he does a good job of tracking passes over his shoulder. Greene will drop too many passes, and he needs to be a more refined route-runner if he wants to play up to his potential as a pro.

Jaguars | Game slowing for Blake Bortles    Mon Jul 27, 11:43 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles said the difference is 'night and day' in his readiness between this year and last. He said his head is no longer spinning at the game's pace.

Footballguys view: That's a good sign for the second-year quarterback. We like the weapons around him at the wide receiver position like Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns. Adding a star tight end like Julius Thomas in free agency is also a boost. The Jaguars need to do a better job of protecting Bortles as he was the most sacked QB in the league last year. He's a QB3 worth stashing in dynasty leagues.

Jaguars | Greg Jenkins signs    Fri Jul 24, 05:00 PM

Free-agent WR Greg Jenkins (Raiders) signed an undisclosed deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars Friday, July 24.

Footballguys view: Jenkins will be in the mix at returner for the Jaguars. He's no lock to make the final roster.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee will be ready for camp    Wed Jul 22, 04:31 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) is expected to be ready for training camp, according to wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan. Sullivan added that Lee will be managed in order to preserve his health.

Footballguys view: Lee is a talented player, but his rookie season was just ho-hum last year. This season, Lee is going to be the third wide receiver on the depth chart behind Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns.

Jaguars | T.J. Yeldon picking up offense    Sun Jul 19, 10:07 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon has picked up the offense at a fast rate this offseason, according to running backs coach Kelly Skipper. 'The impressive thing about T.J. is that he picked up the offense quickly,' Skipper said. 'For the most part, when he gets something, he has it [down] and we can move onto the next thing.'

Footballguys view: We're excited about the rookie running back from Alabama this year. Yeldon is a big back, but he's not your traditional power back. He does run with some build-up power when he gets a head of steam, but Yeldon is a bit niftier as a runner than most men his size. He'll be the lead back for the Jaguars this year and could be a nice RB3 with RB2 upside for fantasy owners.

Jaguars | Ace Sanders released    Fri Jul 17, 04:12 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Ace Sanders was released Friday, July 17.

Footballguys view: Not a big loss here for the Jaguars. A small receiver, Sanders was supposed to be able to contribute as a return man in the pros. He didn't impress in that facet of his game, and the Jaguars decide to move on.

Jaguars | Julius Thomas should help in red zone    Thu Jul 16, 12:46 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas is expected to help the offense in the red zone since he caught 13 passes and nine touchdowns in the red zone last season.

Footballguys view: That's a big reason why the team brought Thomas in. Last year, the Jaguars ranked last in touchdowns (13) and completion percentage (39.1%) in the red zone. Thomas is capable of creating mismatches due to his athleticism. His basketball skill set comes through in the red zone when he can box out defenders and high point passes for six points.

Jacksonville Jaguars DT Sen'Derrick Marks (knee) said he believes he has a good chance to play in the regular season opener.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles given homework    Sat Jul 4, 06:40 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles was given a checklist by offensive coordinator Greg Olson before the Jaguars six-week break in offseason programs. 'A lot of it is him homing in on the protections,' Olson said. 'When he gets back here, we want him to be completely clear on what he's doing at the line of scrimmage in terms of that,' said Olson.

Footballguys view: Bortles looked lost at times last year and needs to be more in tune with the chaos around him to harness what second-year #1 WR Allen Robinson and big ticket free agent tight end Julius Thomas bring to the table as passing game weapons. The team will assume more of a "bullyball" mentality with additions on the offensive line and second-round RB TJ Yeldon, but in the end the team will go as far as Bortles can take them.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles looking to improve    Thu Jul 2, 12:47 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles worked with throwing coach Tom House and former NFL QB Jordan Palmer this offseason in hopes of tightening his throwing motion and learning to use his whole body when he throws. He indicated his plan was to work out with WRs Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns leading up to training camp and work on his deep throws.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles dealt with injury in 2014    Thu Jul 2, 12:46 PM

Jaguars | Paul Posluszny still starting?    Mon Jun 29, 04:07 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars LB Paul Posluszny (pectoral) is still expected to be a three-down player despite coming off a torn pectoral, according to The Florida Times-Union's Ryan O'Halloran.

Footballguys view: Posluszny is a tackling machine when healthy. Even with lack of durability concerns, IDP fantasy players should consider him a top-5 ILB in re-draft leagues. Projecting him for around 100 tackles in 2015 is not out of the question.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee to be No. 3 WR?    Mon Jun 29, 02:27 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee is slated to start behind WRs Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns, according to Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times Union.

Footballguys view: Lee was underwhelming as a rookie last year. He'll need to show better consistency as a pro if he's ever going to play up to his potential....but first, he needs to get healthy. Lee suffered a knee injury before OTAs and his status for training camp is up in the air.

Jaguars | Rashad Greene to work in slot    Wed Jun 24, 10:46 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Rashad Greene is expected to work as the team's top slot receiver. He has impressive teammates with suddenness and his football acumen.

Footballguys view: Greene was a big factor for Jameis Winston at Florida State, and should do the same for Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He's buried deep on the depth chart, a rookie, and in an offense which is still being rebooted. This makes Greene not worth more than a late-round flier for fantasy owners. That may change a little if Marqise Lee cannot get off the trainers table....stay tuned.

Jaguars | Ace Sanders on roster bubble?    Wed Jun 24, 10:46 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Ace Sanders is a question mark for a spot on the 53-man roster. His spot is likely dependent on his winning the punt return job.

Footballguys view: Sanders hasn't shown all that much during his time in the NFL, so this isn't a shock. However, ESPN.com camp reports indicate that Sanders has been the talk of the Jaguars OTAs. He's reportedly catching everything thrown his way and looks dangerous in the open field. Even if Sanders is the WR3 in Jacksonville, he's a non-factor for most fantasy owners.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee working way back    Wed Jun 24, 10:45 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) suffered a knee injury before organized team activities (OTAs), and he will need to catch up to quickly establish a Week 1 role.

Footballguys view: The Jaguars are hoping Lee can stay healthy this year but this knee injury doesn't bode well. Already he has developed a reputation as a guy who gets hurt a lot--though missing minicamp was more likely the team being cautious. That said, fantasy GMs need to be cautious as well. Right now, he is going undrafted and before we make a move--on even a late-round selection of Lee--we need to see him in training camp.

Jaguars | Clay Harbor likely to be No. 2    Wed Jun 24, 10:43 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Clay Harbor (calf) missed most of organized team activities (OTAs) due to a calf injury. He is projected to be the front-runner to serve as backup to TE Julius Thomas.

Footballguys view: Harbor is a decent tight end with good hands and upside, but he isn't as good as Thomas (even if Thomas is losing Peyton Manning as his quarterback). Keep an eye on him, especially if Thomas gets banged up, as Harbor does have upside. Fantasy owners need to remember that Thomas has never played a full 16-game season in four years as a pro. Harbor could get a start or two here or there.

Jaguars | Marcedes Lewis to see lesser role    Wed Jun 24, 10:42 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis is in what is expected to be his final season with the team, and with TE Julius Thomas now in the mix Lewis should see time as a blocker and less as a pass catcher.

Footballguys view: If Julius Thomas is healthy, that's exactly what is in store for Lewis. While he has had a few moments in the past, Lewis has never been a consistent producer either on the field or in fantasy lineups. Some of that can be laid at the feet of terrible quarterbacks and offenses, he's just not all that good. He won't see enough work to warrant a fantasy spot on a roster.

Jaguars | Denard Robinson will have new role    Wed Jun 24, 10:41 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Denard Robinson had a chance as an every-down back last season, but with RB T.J. Yeldon in the fold Robinson is only expected to sub in for certain situations. He might also win the kickoff return role, too.

Footballguys view: Robinson showed some burst and provided a nice spark but Yeldon has a little more upside. Right now Robinson is going as a late-round flier and that's about where he should go.

Link to story
Denard Robinson player page

Jaguars | Toby Gerhart to be third-down back    Wed Jun 24, 10:41 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Toby Gerhart suffered a Week 1 injury in 2014 to ruin his first chance to be an every-down back. He is likely to see most of his reps as a third-down back in 2015.

Footballguys view: Some people thought that once Gerhart got out from under Adrian Peterson's shadow that everything would fall into place. Instead, he fell off the map. Of course, some of that was because of injury issues. Gerhart looks healthy now, has been performing well in minicamps and could be a great fit for the offense. But with rookie T.J. Yeldon looking good as well and Denard Robinson playing well for a stretch last season, moving Gerhart to third-down back makes some sense. There's also been reports of Gerhart playing fullback in 2015.

Jaguars | T.J. Yeldon expected to start    Wed Jun 24, 10:40 PM

The Jacksonville Jaguars aren't handing RB T.J. Yeldon the starting job, but he is projected to start since the team spent a second-round pick on him.

Footballguys view: The only real competition at this point is Denard Robinson, who provided a nice spark to the run game before an injury ended his season. Yeldon has great instincts and can create lanes where there are none but has ball security issues and has some issues breaking tackles. Those factors and a 'still not ready for prime time' offense makes us think he's a low-end RB2 at best or a high end RB3.

Jaguars | Bernard Pierce on outside looking in?    Wed Jun 24, 10:38 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bernard Pierce is not projected to make the 53-man roster, according to beat writer Ryan O'Halloran. Pierce is believed to be in the running for the No. 4 job with RBs Storm Johnson and Corey Grant behind RBs T.J. Yeldon, Toby Gerhart and Denard Robinson.

Footballguys view: Pierce was released by the Ravens back in March after he was arrested for drunk driving. His court date has been moved back to late July. Off-field issues aside, Pierce just isn't that good. His plodding style as a runner isn't inspiring, and he offers nothing in the passing game. He could be out of a job when roster cuts start to happen in camp.

Jaguars | Corey Grant has roster edge?    Wed Jun 24, 10:38 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Corey Grant is projected by beat writer Ryan O'Halloran to serve as the No. 4 tailback on the 53-man roster, edging out RBs Storm Johnson and Bernard Pierce. Grant is believed to have the edge because of his ability as a gunner on punt coverage and kickoffs.

Footballguys view: Pierce has been disappointing since getting a shot in Baltimore, and while Johnson has an awesome first name, he's pretty limited in terms of what he brings to the table. Grant has off-the-charts speed but doesn't cut sharply and struggles to shake defenders in open space. He's got a lot of upside though and is likely to produce on special teams. He's not worthy of a draft slot but is definitely a guy to keep an eye on--especially in dynasty leagues.

Jaguars | T.J. Yeldon looking to earn spot    Tue Jun 23, 06:21 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon said he sees himself at the bottom of the running back depth chart and wants to work his up to the starting position. 'I got myself as last, and I'm still trying to work my way up to the top,' Yeldon said. 'I'm just out there to compete and work my way up to the top, see what I can do.' Yeldon said he believes he can be a three-down back for the team but wants to take things one step at a time.

Footballguys view: Yeldon could begin the season as the starting running back for the Jaguars with Denard Robinson working as a change-of-pace back behind him. We like Yeldon's ability as he's a big back who is nifty as a runner between the tackles. He's not quite as powerful as some assume he should be, but Yeldon is swift and tough to bring down with a head of steam. He's their best back and most capable of being a lead back. We'll see if he can earn that spot in training camp.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles progressing    Thu Jun 18, 09:21 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles has impressed his coaches with his progression and approach to the game since the end of the 2014 season.

Footballguys view: The Jaguars have put better weapons around Bortles for the 2015 season. They've also made additions to the offensive line that should better protect him this year. We're not expecting a huge step forward for Bortles this year, but seeing steady progress is a realistic possibility for the second-year quarterback.

Jaguars | Clay Harbor expects to be at TC    Thu Jun 18, 09:14 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Clay Harbor (calf) said Thursday, June 18, he expects to be ready for the opening of training camp July 31.

Footballguys view: Harbor said he could probably play if there was a game this coming Sunday. With Julius Thomas added in free agency, the Jaguars won't be using Harbor that much this season. His dynasty stock is low as well until/unless he changes teams.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson unbelievable in practice    Thu Jun 18, 09:13 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson was described as 'unbelievable' by QB Blake Bortles Thursday, June 18. 'He's definitely a threat now in the red zone. ... He's physical. He can run and do everything out in the open field, so he's been fun to throw to,' said Bortles.

Footballguys view: A constant drumbeat we've been hearing this offseason is Robinson's game has improved. Snaring 70 or so passes this year is not out of the question if Robinson stays healthy.

Jaguars | A.J. Cann signed    Wed Jun 17, 05:55 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars OG A.J. Cann signed his four-year rookie deal Wednesday, June 17. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Cann is a quality interior player who should be able to help the Jags at either center or guard. He's a consistent player who shows good discipline and barely gets penalized. Cann has good functional strength and understands leverage when blocking his man.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson needs to play angry    Wed Jun 17, 05:31 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson needs to play angrier in his second year, according to head coach Gus Bradley. '[Robinson needs to] play where he is competing to get the ball and competing in all of his routes,' Bradley said. 'We want to be able to throw it up to him and know he's going to come down with the ball.'

Footballguys view: This is like a quote from the movie Dodgeball. Robinson just has to put on his rec specs and get angry! In all seriousness, Robinson just needs to stay healthy and build on the strong numbers he put up last year as the primary receiver for the Jaguars. Robinson missed the final six games of the season due to injury, but in 10 games he posted a respectable 48 catches for 548 yards and two touchdowns. A favorite of QB Blake Bortles, Robinson was targeted nearly eigtht times per game when he was on the field last year.

Jaguars | Team Wants Blake Bortles to throw deep    Wed Jun 17, 04:51 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles may be throwing deeper this season, according to head coach Gus Bradley. Bradley did say that Bortles hasn't been able to throw deep much during practice so far because of the intensive heat. Bradley added that he wants Bortles to gain more confidence throwing the deep ball.

Footballguys view: That's nice and all, but longer routes take more time to develop. Last year, Bortles didn't get the best protection from his offensive line and felt pressure on 26.2 percent of his dropbacks. He was sacked on 10 percent of his dropbacks (league average is 5.8 percent) and seemed to be constantly under duress. He also had the 2nd-worst air-yards-per-attempt rate (6.85 yards) of any quarterback in the league. We believe Bortles can throw deep effectively, but this O-Line has to do a better job of protecting him.

Jaguars | Storm Johnson exits early    Wed Jun 17, 11:56 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Storm Johnson (back) left practice Wednesday, June 17, with back tightness.

Footballguys view: This back injury is not going to help Johnson make the final roster. He needs to get healthy and shine in training camp, or the team could move on from the former UCF standout.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee being held out of minicamp    Tue Jun 16, 11:02 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) is being held out of this week's minicamp because of a left knee injury, according to head coach Gus Bradley. Bradley noted Lee will be a full participant once training camp begins.

Footballguys view: Lee had an inconsistent rookie season, but he did finish 2014 on a good run. Over the final six games of the regular season, Lee caught 24 passes for 278 yards and one receiving touchdown. If healthy, we'll see if he can build better chemistry with QB Blake Bortles this season.

Jaguars | Storm Johnson may not make team    Tue Jun 16, 08:51 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Storm Johnson (back) seems unlikely to make the team out of training camp. He was singled out by head coach Gus Bradley for uneven practice play and hasn't practiced since June 4 due to a back injury.

Footballguys view: It's called "Not For Long" for a reason. Johnson was a college teammate of Jaguars QB Blake Bortles, and he's a decent all-around back who can work effectively as a receiver out of the backfield. However, guys like Johnson are a dime a dozen in the pros. The Jaguars could easily move on if Johnson doesn't get healthy and impress.

Jaguars | Allen Hurns has proven reliability    Sun Jun 14, 08:16 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns health and availability have allowed him to get an early grasp on offensive coordinator Greg Olson's offense. 'I'm feeling really confident out there making plays,' Hurns said. 'I just feel really good in this system. [New coordinator Greg Olson] has done a great job of opening things up to letting us run different routes. It's a fun offense to play in,' said Hurns.

Footballguys view: Hurns can be a late-round sleeper for fantasy owners in deeper leagues this season. He burst onto the scene last year as an undrafted rookie out of the University of Miami with 51 catches for 677 yards and six touchdowns. Hurns is a reliable receiver who could catch about 50 passes this season with a few touchdowns sprinkled in.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee may miss minicamp    Thu Jun 11, 12:39 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) could be held out of minicamp next week, because he is still recovering from a knee injury he suffered earlier this offseason.

Footballguys view: He is expected to be ready for the start of training camp. Lee has talent, but his struggles staying on the field limit what fantasy owners should be expecting from him. At best, Lee is tracking as a 14th-round 'Hail Mary' as far as ADP goes. However, if he can't get on the field he should fall to the undrafted level in standard leagues.

Jaguars | Julius Thomas sits out    Thu Jun 11, 12:10 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (leg) did not participate in practice Thursday, June 11. Thomas was held out for precautionary reasons.

Footballguys view: The Jaguars will be careful with their several million dollar man, a guy who they need healthy if Blake Bortles and the offense are going to take the next step. Right now, he is tracking as a seventh-round pick and probably will climb as time goes on. Fantasy owners need to realize that his numbers will dip this season compared to what Thomas did in Denver catching passes from Peyton Manning.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles making improvements    Tue Jun 9, 06:43 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles is working on lengthening his released and shortening his delivery as he prepares for his second season in the NFL. Bortles wants to be a more accurate passer by lengthening his release and make his release quicker by making his delivery shorter. 'It's hard when you try and change stuff like that,' Bortles said. 'It's something you've got to think about. Right now I'm in the stage of doing as much as possible so I don't have to think about it anymore.'

Footballguys view: The Jaguars put better weapons around Bortles this offseason with the hope that he could take that next step in his sophomore season. We'll be more excited about his prospects if this offensive line proves they can do a better job of protecting him. Bortles was sacked a league-high 55 times in 2015. His was blitzed on 31 percent of his dropbacks (league average was 30.3 percent) and felt pressure on 26.2 percent of his dropbacks (league average was 25.5 percent).

Jaguars | Jags' tight ends to be used often    Sun Jun 7, 08:57 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars TEs Marcedes Lewis and Clay Harbor will still have roles in the team's 2015 offense with plenty of two- and three-tight end sets to be used. "This system is very exciting," Harbor said. "It uses the tight ends a lot and it gives our [meeting] room more opportunities to make plays," said Harbor. TE Julius Thomas will be used as a 'move' tight end, with Lewis acting in a more traditional role and remaining on the line. Harbor will also be used as a 'move' tight end, according to offensive coordinator Greg Olson.

Footballguys view: Out of all the tight ends in Jacksonville, Julius Thomas is going to see a majority of the targets. Lewis might get a tiny look in the red zone, and Harbor is just a backup. If Blake Bortles is throwing to a tight end, it's likely to be Thomas and that's why he's a TE1 for fantasy owners. Like Eric Decker (Jets) last year, expect the numbers for Thomas to dip as he's not snaring the rock from Peyton Manning anymore.

Jaguars | Blake Bortles' mental game improving    Thu Jun 4, 11:55 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles is dealing with struggles better mentally than in the past, according to head coach Gus Bradley. Bortles takes things personally too much sometimes, according to Bradley.

Footballguys view: The Jaguars could really use a big developmental leap forward this year, although his protection was terrible and he was sacked 55 times. Some of that was certainly on him and he needs to speed up his process--but some of it was the awful offensive line. For Bortles' own part, most of his issues are mental. Speeding up his diagnosis, making better decisions while doing that and being more careful with the ball are all big hurdles for Bortles this year.

Jaguars | T.J. Yeldon expected to start    Tue Jun 2, 09:31 AM

Jacksonville Jaguars RP T.J. Yeldon is expected to be the starting running back as a rookie in 2015. Yeldon has impressed early in organized team activities and shown versatility as a runner and receiver.

Footballguys view: Yeldon is a hard-charging back who runs with build-up power. He's more nifty in the open field than some would think a back his size could be. Yeldon can easily be the banger for this team with Denard Robinson working as the change-of-pace back. The Jaguars want to run the ball more to help settle down young QB Blake Bortles.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson works out    Mon Jun 1, 10:03 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (foot) was on the field for organized team activities (OTAs) Monday, June 1, for the first time in seven months.

Footballguys view: The Jaguars are going to take it easy with Robinson as he returns, but this is a good sign for fantasy owners. Robinson missed the final six games of his rookie season in 2014, but before that he showed strong chemistry with QB Blake Bortles. If Robinson stays healthy, catching 70 passes in 2015 isn't out of the question.

Jaguars | Jake Waters cut    Mon Jun 1, 05:01 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Jake Waters was released Monday, June 1.

Footballguys view: Waters was picked up by the Jagurs as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State. He started his college career at Iowa Western Community College where he was a two-year starter and a 2012 National Champion. He beat the JUCO record for passing accuracy in a season (73 percent), formerly held by Cam Newton. He might latch on elsewhere as a camp arm.

Jaguars | Jeff Tuel claimed    Mon Jun 1, 04:56 PM

Free-agent QB Jeff Tuel (Bills) was claimed by the Jacksonville Jaguars Monday, June 1.

Footballguys view: Tuel is likely just a camp arm, but he does have connections to the coaching staff in Jacksonville. Doug Marrone (assistant head coach) and Nathaniel Hackett (quarterback coach) were the Bills' head coach and offensive coordinator, respectively, the past two seasons.

Jaguars | T.J. Yeldon financials    Mon Jun 1, 04:32 PM

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon's four-year rookie deal is worth $5.91 million with $3.69 million guaranteed. It comes with a $2.56 signing bonus.

Footballguys view: Yeldon should be the lead back for the Jaguars as they want to be a more run-heavy offense in 2015. He'll provide the power while Denard Robinson provides the speed as a change-of-pace back. Yeldon's current ADP is RB28 (6.03) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars C Luke Bowanko worked with the first-team offense during organized team activities this past week in part because C Stefen Wisniewski (shoulder) is recovering from offseason surgery. Bowanko and Wisniewski are expected to compete for the center job during training camp.

Footballguys view: The Jaguars are hoping to get better play from their guys up front. They want to run the ball more this year with rookie T.J. Yeldon as the likely featured back. It would also be in their best interest to do a better job of protecting quarterback Blake Bortles this season. Bortles was sacked a league-high 55 times in 2014.

Jaguars | Marqise Lee to miss two weeks?    Thu May 28, 06:21 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) could miss the next two weeks of action as he continues to recover from the knee injury he suffered in Phase 2 of the team's offseaso program.

Footballguys view: Lee missed time in 2014 because of an injury, and the team is hoping he can avoid that this season. Lee is set to play out of the Z spot, and may have less responsibility overall as the team felt they overloaded him last season. We don't feel great about his 2015 prospects, and think his ADP of round 13 is the earliest you should grab him.

Jaguars | Allen Robinson improving    Thu May 28, 06:17 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson (foot) is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a stress fracture in his foot. He expects to begin participating in individual drills next week.

Footballguys view: The team has to be happy that their breakout rookie from 2014 is getting healthier. If Marqise Lee and Julius Thomas can stay healthy, those three targets could really help Blake Bortles take his game to the next level this coming season.
