Dolphins | Jordan Cameron doesn't practice    Mon Sep 26, 05:56 PM

Miami Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) did not practice Monday, Sept. 26. Cameron's status is an estimate as the Dolphins did not conduct a practice.

Footballguys view: The Dolphins travel to play the Bengals on Thursday night in Week 4. Cameron may not be available for that game, and the Dolphins may have to have Dion Sims as their starting TE instead.

Miami Dolphins TE Dion Sims (ankle) was limited in practice Monday, Sept. 26.

Dolphins | Arian Foster still sidelined    Mon Sep 26, 05:46 PM

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (hamstring) did not practice Monday, Sept. 26. Foster's status is an estimate as the Dolphins did not conduct a practice.

Footballguys view: We should see the Dolphins continue with their RBBC while Foster is out. It's a short week for them as they face the Bengals on Thursday night, so expecting Foster to play might be a stretch. Jay Ajayi would be the lead back again without Foster, but he's splitting touches with three other guys (Kenyan Drake, Isaiah Pead, Damien Williams).

Dolphins | DeVante Parker has full practice    Mon Sep 26, 05:41 PM

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Monday, Sept. 26. Parker's status is an estimate as the Dolphins did not conduct a practice.

Footballguys view: Parker is an important piece of the Dolphins passing attack. He's worth considering as a flex play against the Bengals in Week 4.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry misses practice    Mon Sep 26, 05:35 PM

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (shoulder) did not practice Monday, Sept. 26. Landry's status is an estimate as the Dolphins did not conduct a practice.

Footballguys view: We should see Landry at practice as they prepare to take on the Bengals Thursday night.

Dolphins | Arian Foster doubtful for Week 4    Mon Sep 26, 11:08 AM

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) won't be rushed back, according to head coach Adam Gase, which casts him as doubtful for Week 4 Thursday, Sept. 29.

Footballguys view: The Dolphins will continue to move forward with a RBBC featuring Jay Ajayi, Kenyan Drake, Isaiah Pead and Damien Williams. As you saw in Week 3, this situation is a bit of a mess for fantasy owners. Avoid if you can.

Dolphins | Jordan Cameron out for Week 4    Mon Sep 26, 11:06 AM

Miami Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron (concussion) will be out for Week 4 due to a concussion.

Footballguys view: Cameron will be in the concussion protocol, and his return date is yet to be determined. Without him, the Dolphins will use more of Dion Sims.

Dolphins | Jay Ajayi has game-winning TD scamper    Sun Sep 25, 10:11 PM

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi posted seven receptions for 28 yards with a game-winning touchdown in overtime in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns. He was not targeted in the pass game.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry has huge stat line    Sun Sep 25, 10:10 PM

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry posted seven receptions for a team-high 120 yards and a touchdown in the Week 3 game against the Cleveland Browns. He was targeted 12 times.

Footballguys view: Landry was able to get free downfield twice, once for a score and another time to set up the game-winning score in overtime. He predictably had a great game against the Browns without Joe Haden. Next week, he'll be at least a solid WR3/Flex against the Bengals.

Dolphins | DeVante Parker finds end zone    Sun Sep 25, 10:04 PM

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker racked up three receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown in the Week 3 game against the Cleveland Browns. He was targeted six times.

Footballguys view: Parker scored early, but it was Jarvis Landry who dominated the stat sheet as the game went on. Next week, Parker gets the Bengals secondary that couldn't check Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, so he might be worth a flex play.

Dolphins | Damien Williams makes most of touches    Sun Sep 25, 10:00 PM

Miami Dolphins RB Damien Williams ran once for 15 yards and he had three receptions for 10 yards and a touchdown in the Week 3 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Dolphins | Kenyan Drake does little with chance    Sun Sep 25, 09:58 PM

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake made the start in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns, but he carried nine times for 37 yards and had two catches for just 11 yards.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill tosses three TDs    Sun Sep 25, 09:56 PM

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill completed 25 of his 39 pass attempts for 319 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 3 game against the Cleveland Browns. He also ran once for two yards.

Footballguys view: Tannehill was far from perfect, but he took advantage of an easy matchup padded by overtime stats. Next week, he faces the Cincinnati defense that Trevor Siemian took apart, but still will only be one of many streamer choices.

Dolphins | Anthony Steen has ankle injury    Sun Sep 25, 06:34 PM

Miami Dolphins C Anthony Steen (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain in the Week 3 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Footballguys view: The Dolphins need Mike Pouncey back, stat. Steen was the backup center, and the team was having trouble running the ball. They are starting four offensive tackles on the line around the center, so don't expect a running game resurgence against the Bengals next week.

Dolphins | Koa Misi questionable to return    Sun Sep 25, 03:49 PM

Miami Dolphins LB Koa Misi (neck) was listed as questionable to return for his team's game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Sept. 25.

Dolphins | Jordan Cameron may have concussion    Sun Sep 25, 01:48 PM

Miami Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron (head) left the team's Week 3 game early and is being evaluated for a concussion. He is considered questionable to return.

Footballguys view: Cameron has a concussion history with three in three seasons over 2012-2014, so this could be significant if it is a concussion. Dion Sims and MarQueis Gray are the other tight ends for the Dolphins and both are decent pass catchers.

The Miami Dolphins have declared DE Terrence Fede, RB Arian Foster, WR Justin Hunter, SS Jordan Lucas, LB Spencer Paysinger, C Mike Pouncey, OG Dallas Thomas inactive for Week 3.

Footballguys view: Kenyan Drake will get the start with Foster out. Pouncey should return in the next week or two, but the Dolphins running game might have trouble getting going while he's out.

Dolphins | Kenyan Drake expected to start Sunday    Sun Sep 25, 09:34 AM

The Miami Dolphins plan to use RB Kenyan Drake as their primary back during Week 3's game against the Cleveland Browns, although other runners will be mixed in, according to multiple sources.

Footballguys view: Drake is a very raw runner who could bust a long play on a reception or draw, but is unlikely to have a lot of success behind this four offensive tackle offensive line. Drake is just a what the heck flex, and his injury history is worse than injured starter Arian Foster.

Dolphins | Adam Gase not worried about run game    Sat Sep 24, 08:23 PM

The Miami Dolphins rank 27th in the NFL in rushing, but head coach Adam Gase said he isn't worried about the poor numbers because he believes circumstances have prevented the offense from showcasing its true ability to run the ball.

Footballguys view: The Dolphins aren't built to run the ball. They should be able to get the ground game jump-started a bit against a poor Browns defense in Week 3.

Dolphins | Jay Ajayi to be part of committee     Sat Sep 24, 12:46 AM

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi has been making the most of his carries, according to offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen, but Christensen said Ajayi will be part of a committee against the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.

Footballguys view: Ajayi should be the biggest part of that RBBC, but fantasy owners should only consider him a low-end RB2 -- even in a great matchup against a weak Browns defense in Week 3.

Dolphins | Friday injury report for Miami    Fri Sep 23, 06:15 PM

Miami Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip) was been ruled out for Week 3. CB Xavien Howard (knee), LB Jelani Jenkins (knee), DE Jason Jones (ankle), LB Koa Misi (shoulder) and LB Spencer Paysinger (neck) are listed as questionable.   Dolphins | DeVante Parker listed as questionable    Fri Sep 23, 04:40 PM

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice again Friday, Sept. 23, and listed as questionable on the team's injury report in advance of the Dolphins' Week 3 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Footballguys view: Check the inactives on Sunday, but we are assuming Parker was being handled cautiously this week because the team wants him to be preserved for the good matchup against the Browns. After a huge half last week, Parker is a solid WR2/WR3 as long as he is active.

Dolphins | Arian Foster ruled out vs. Browns    Fri Sep 23, 04:22 PM

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) will not play Week 3 versus the Cleveland Browns due to a groin strain.

Footballguys view: It's unknown who will get the start for the Dolphins, but Jay Ajayi is the most talented back and he got the most touches after Foster went out last week. Foster's history of return to play timelines after injuries suggests that he will miss at least one more week before returning.

Dolphins | DeVante Parker limited in practice    Thu Sep 22, 08:59 PM

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) remained a limited participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

Footballguys view: We'll be watching his Friday practice status to confirm that he's a safe play in a very attractive matchup against the Browns weak pass defense.

Dolphins | Thursday practice report for Miami    Thu Sep 22, 08:56 PM

Miami Dolphins C Mike Pouncey (hip) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 22. CB Xavien Howard (knee), LB Jelani Jenkins (knee), DE Jason Jones (ankle), LB Koa Misi (shoulder) and LB Spencer Paysinger (neck) were limited participants.

Footballguys view: Pouncey won't be back this week, but the Dolphins do have a fighting chance of getting their running game going if they can build a lead against the compromised Browns defense and offense.

Dolphins | Arian Foster misses practice    Thu Sep 22, 03:16 PM

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 22. Head coach Adam Gase said the team is trying to figure out the severity of Foster's injury.

Footballguys view: He's a long shot to play Sunday, which is a shame because this is a solid matchup. The problem is, can the rest of the group pick up the slack? Jay Ajayi has been a healthy scratch when he isn't underwhelming, and Damien Williams and Kenyan Drake aren't ready for prime time. This should be a match-up worth exploiting, but the best we feel comfortable with recommending is with Ajayi as a borderling RB2/RB3.

Dolphins | DeVante Parker limited in practice    Wed Sep 21, 04:44 PM

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Footballguys view: Parker may have to deal with this hamstring injury for the rest of the year. However, he makes for a nice WR3/flex play this week against a bad Browns defense.

Dolphins | Arian Foster not expected to play    Wed Sep 21, 02:22 PM

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21, and appears to be a long shot to play in Week 3. He may have a chance to play in Week 4.

Footballguys view: Jay Ajayi should start against a weak Browns defense. It's a great matchup, but the Dolphins aren't built to run the ball. Consider Ajayi a high-end RB3/flex play in Week 3.

Dolphins | Miami optimistic about Arian Foster    Tue Sep 20, 07:37 PM

The Miami Dolphins are 'cautiously optimistic' regarding RB Arian Foster (groin). He has not yet been ruled out for Week 3. His status may not be better determined until later in the week, however.

Footballguys view: We like being cautious when considering Foster as a fantasy starter this week. The matchup against the Browns in Week 3 is great, but we won't know Foster's status until Friday at the earliest. Make sure to have other options ready. If Foster is out, the Dolphins would turn to Jay Ajayi as their lead back.

Dolphins | Arian Foster has strained groin    Tue Sep 20, 02:57 PM

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) is dealing with a groin strain and his status for Week 3 is in question. He is not expected to miss more than one to two games.

Footballguys view: It seems like once the seal is broken with Foster and these soft-tissue injuries he's just never the same. We may see him back in a week or two, and if he misses Week 3 against the Browns then RB Jay Ajayi could be flex-worthy for fantasy owners.

Dolphins | Arian Foster day-to-day    Mon Sep 19, 02:53 PM

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) is considered day-to-day with a groin injury, according to head coach Adam Gase. Gase said he is unsure if Foster will practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Footballguys view: Wednesday's practice doesn't matter...but Friday's does. Check back to see if Foster can play in Week 3. It's a great matchup against a poor Browns defense if he can. If not, then grab Jay Ajayi who should take over as the lead back in Foster's absence.

Dolphins | Arian Foster to have MRI    Mon Sep 19, 08:18 AM

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) will have an MRI on his injured groin Monday, Sept. 19, but the team is concerned he'll miss at least Week 3.

Footballguys view: Well, you got one week out of Foster. He's known to get banged up quite often, and it didn't take long for him to get injured with his new team. In the meantime, we'll see how things are split between Jay Ajayi, Kenyon Drake, Damien Williams and Isaiah Pead. Ajayi should be the lead back in Week 3....and he gets to go up against a bad Browns defense.

Dolphins | Jay Ajayi is the next man up    Mon Sep 19, 01:19 AM

Dolphins | Arian Foster to miss time?    Mon Sep 19, 01:17 AM

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) left the Week 2 game against the New England Patriots due to a groin injury, and beat writer Adam Beasley believes the injury might be more than a one-week issue. RB Jay Ajayi filled in, running five times for 14 yards while adding four receptions for 31 yards.

Dolphins | Jordan Cameron finds end zone    Sun Sep 18, 04:46 PM

Miami Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron caught five passes for 49 yards and one touchdown against the New England Patriots in Week 2.

Footballguys view: Cameron earns some streamer consideration next week against a Browns defense that just allowed a big day to Dennis Pitta, but it's hard to say he's back on the strength of one game against mostly a prevent defense.

Dolphins | DeVante Parker surpasses 100-yard mark    Sun Sep 18, 04:45 PM

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker caught eight passes for 106 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 2.

Footballguys view: Parker's first game of the season was a big one, with help from the game script that put the Patriots in a soft pass defense while they were nursing a big lead. He's a priority pickup heading into the home opener against Cleveland and might be moving ahead of Kenny Stills on the depth chart.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry has outstanding performance    Sun Sep 18, 04:44 PM

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry caught 10 passes for 137 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 2.

Footballguys view: Landry had yet another good game against the Patriots, ringing up some downfield catches in addition to his usual big volume. He should be a borderline WR1 in PPR leagues against Cleveland next week.

Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill throws for 389 yards    Sun Sep 18, 04:01 PM

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill went 32-for-45 for 389 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions against the New England Patriots in Week 2. He also rushed for 35 yards on six carries.

Footballguys view: Tannehill had a rough first half in the place that saw him play consistently worse than any other road stadium, but he was a very good once he was playing against a softer defense. He deserves streamer consideration against the Browns next week.

Dolphins | Arian Foster leaves with injury    Sun Sep 18, 02:17 PM

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (groin) suffered a groin injury in Week 2 and is considered questionable to return.

Dolphins | Arian Foster will play Sunday    Sun Sep 18, 09:21 AM

Miami Dolphins RB Arian Foster (hamstring) will be active for Week 2's game against the New England Patriots.

Footballguys view: Foster is a PPR RB2 in an offense that will have a lot of trouble running the ball, but it could be a rough day for the whole Miami offense in a place that they have had little success during the Ryan Tannehill era.

Dolphins | DeVante Parker expected to play    Sun Sep 18, 09:18 AM

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) is expected to make his season debut against the New England Patriots in Week 2.

Footballguys view: Parker is fighting for a spot on our rosters right now. Between his injury issues, the uninspired way the Dolphins used him in the preseason, and running behind Kenny Stills, it's hard to see Parker being trustworthy any time soon. At this point, he is only worth an end of the bench stash on the theory that the talent will blossom eventually in what is shaping up to be a very pass-heavy offense.
