Bills | Percy Harvin looking to improve    Fri Jun 26, 06:49 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Percy Harvin said he has been working with wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal this offseason in hopes of becoming a more complete wide receiver. 'I feel that it's time for me to put it all together,' Harvin said. 'I feel like I have the coaching staff and support here in Buffalo to get that done. The owners here are unbelievable. Everything here spells success for me. The world has yet to see me explode like I'm about to.'

Footballguys view: Harvin has always had talent, but his production hasn't really matched his potential. We're not expecting him to breakout this season on a run-heavy Bills team. The quarterback situation in Buffalo also doesn't give us much confidence. His current ADP is WR38 (10.10) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Bills | Charles Clay staying on the field    Thu Jun 25, 01:18 PM

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay will play on all three downs.

Footballguys view: So he'll be blocking for three downs? While Clay has had moments, he's not on an offense which looks like a passing behemoth. Assuming Matt Cassel/EJ Manuel/Tyrod Taylor/Matt Simms/Hot Dog Vendor throw the ball effectively, there are two things which will still stand in Clay's way. First, he's behind Sammy Watkins, Percy Harvins and Robert Woods in the pecking order of targets. And second this is still likely to be a run-heavy attack and will feature LeSean McCoy an awful lot (and Clay is a very good blocker). So if the ball is heading Clay's direction, it's likely being carried by McCoy while Clay is blocking. Clay is being drafted as a TE2 and a lower-end one at that, which is right about where he should be.

Bills | Fred Jackson expects to compete for job    Tue Jun 23, 05:27 PM

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson said he expects to compete for a roster spot during training camp. 'We'll see what happens with me getting cut or not,' Jackson said. 'I'll go out and do whatever I can to make sure that doesn't happen. We've got to compete every year. This year is no different than any other year. I've got to go out and compete for my job.'

Footballguys view: We love Jackson's mindset here. He's taking nothing for granted--just like he has every season as a pro. Jackson will serve as veteran insurance behind McCoy and makes for a nice RB5 to carry for now, but he's got starter's upside if McCoy gets banged up.

Bills | QB Taylor a sleeper in Buffalo?    Sun Jun 21, 08:49 PM

Ben Volin, from the Boston Globe, reports that Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is a player to watch out for in training camp. According to the report, Taylor received almost the same number of reps in OTAs and minicamp as both Matt Cassel and E.J. Manuel.

Footballguys view: Fantasy owners in deeper leagues take note. Does anyone have faith in Manuel or Cassel? Taylor has spent his entire career as Joe Flacco's backup, but he accepted an deal smaller than the Broncos offered him so he could compete for a starting job and get out of the shadow of a star quarterback. Taylor is super fast, quick and has a rocket arm but his accuracy and decision making need improvement. Yes, the Bills are going to have a run-heavy offense but remember that scrambling starting quarterbacks can be valuable assets in fantasy football.

Bills | Matt Cassel could be on the bubble    Fri Jun 19, 08:48 PM

Buffalo Bills QB Matt Cassel could be on the roster bubble if he struggles during training camp. The team would save $4.15 million in salary cap space if he is released.

Footballguys view: Even though he's the most experienced quarterback on the roster in Buffalo, nobody should think Cassel's roster spot is safe. If he struggles in training camp and the preseason, the Bills could just let him go and start either E.J. Manuel or Tyrod Taylor.

Bills | Matthew Mulligan signed    Thu Jun 18, 04:29 PM

Free-agent TE Matthew Mulligan (Titans) signed an undisclosed contract with the Buffalo Bills Thursday, June 18.

Footballguys view: Mulligan is not a fantasy option, but he could win a spot on the roster because of his run-blocking ability. The Bills are going to run, run and run some more with superstar LeSean McCoy as the lead back.

Bills | Sammy Watkins remains idle    Tue Jun 16, 11:26 AM

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (hip) is not participating in team drills Tuesday, June 16.

Footballguys view: Watkins is recovering from hip surgery for a torn labrum, but should be ready to go in time for training camp. The Bills quarterback situation isn't the best, but if healthy we could see Watkins snare about 70 catches for nearly 1,000 yards and 5-7 touchdowns in 2015.

Bills | Rex Ryan to look at Evan Mathis    Sat Jun 13, 06:09 PM

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan said the Bills will do their 'due diligence' on free-agent OG Evan Mathis, but he is 'pretty happy' with his guards.

Footballguys view: Mathis is getting quite a bit of interest on the open market. It's wise for the Bills to look into the possibility of adding him. Mathis is going to come with a decent-sized price tag as he's considered one of the best guards in the game.

Bills | Matt Cassel struggles Wednesday    Thu Jun 11, 12:53 PM

Buffalo Bills QB Matt Cassel threw one interception and almost had two other passes intercepted during practice Wednesday, June 10. Cassel shared first-team reps with QB EJ Manuel during practice.

Footballguys view: Color us shocked...if the color of being shocked looks like the color of complete and total expectation. Cassel is an average quarterback (at best) and he's learning a new system in a new offense with new players. We wouldn't touch the Bills quarterback situation with a ten-foot pole, but keep an eye on who wins the job as it will impact the rest of the offense.

Bills | Chris Williams expected at minicamp    Thu Jun 11, 12:39 PM

Buffalo Bills OG Chris Williams (back) is expected to participate in the mandatory minicamp next week.

Footballguys view: General manager Doug Whaley said Williams has not participated in offseason workouts because he is recovering from back surgery. The Bills need some help on the offensive line, and they were hoping Williams might contribute more than he did last season before landing on injured reserve.

Bills | Still a QB competition in Buffalo    Wed Jun 10, 06:41 PM

Buffalo Bills QBs EJ Manuel, Matt Cassel and Tyrod Taylor are still competing for the starting quarterback job, according to head coach Rex Ryan. 'Wisdom tells me to let I play out, we'll see what happens through the end,' Ryan said.

Footballguys view: This isn't an exciting race to watch for fantasy owners. Cassel has the most experience (by far) in this battle, but he's painfully average at best. Manuel has great size and arm strength , but he's hurt a lot and makes poor decisions throwing the ball. Taylor is super quick, super athletic and has a rocket arm, but he lacks sharpness as a passer. The Bills are going to have a run-heavy offense with superstar back LeSean McCoy leading the way. The quarterback won't be asked to do that much for the offense.

Bills | Percy Harvin still absent    Wed Jun 10, 10:59 AM

Bills | Sammy Watkins likely to see fewer balls    Tue Jun 9, 12:47 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (hip) will likely see a reduction from his team-leading 128 targets last season.

Footballguys view: Watkins could still get 100 targets, but the team is trying to spread things around this year. The nature of the offense will be run-heavy with superstar running back LeSean McCoy as the featured player. Fantasy owners should consider Watkins a low end WR2 with upside. Drafting him as a WR3 would be better if you can pull it off.

Bills | Sammy Watkins mentally taking reps    Thu Jun 4, 11:20 AM

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (hip) said he is mentally taking repetitions in practice while he is limited. He joins the huddle and then simulates lining up to run a pass route by going to his designated side of the formation but remaining behind the line of scrimmage. 'Mentally, I've got to get my reps,' Watkins said. 'I'm behind. I'm not there every day with the guys running routes. So, mentally, I've got to watch the defense, the coverages, watch how things move because I'm going to be coming back soon. And everything's got to be fast and I've got to pick it up.'

Footballguys view: Watkins should be OK for the start of the season, but his quarterback situation remains brutal. Matt Cassel is average (at best), and isn't accurate downfield. EJ Manuel has been pretty awful when he isn't on the trainer's table. Tyrod Taylor is super athletic, has a rocket arm and is a great unknown after backing up Joe Flacco for years. Watkins has tremendous ability, but his situation leaves him as a WR3 with an ADP of 4.11--reflective of how nervous owners are at this early date.

Bills | Matt Cassel, EJ Manuel split reps    Wed Jun 3, 12:13 PM

Buffalo Bills QBs Matt Cassel and EJ Manuel both worked with the first-team offense during organized team activities Wednesday, June 3.

Footballguys view: They seem to be the top two candidates for the starting job with Tyrod Taylor more of a sleeper at this time. Cassel has the experience edge, but the team wants to see if their 2013 first-round pick (Manuel) can actually stay healthy and play at a decent level. At this time, Cassel could be considered the frontrunner because of his aforementioned experience.....but none of these QBs (maybe Taylor) should be fantasy factors in 2015.

Bills | LeSean McCoy practices    Wed Jun 3, 12:12 PM

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (neck) participated in organized team activities Wednesday, June 3.

Footballguys view: McCoy is going to be the workhorse for the Bills offense. Rushing the ball over 300 times is not out of the question, and it's something McCoy has done each of the last two seasons with the Eagles. Now, Rex Ryan gets to feature McCoy and this will help an offense that should have average (or below) quarterback play.

Bills | LeSean McCoy at 300 carries?    Tue Jun 2, 11:10 AM

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy is expected to receive 300 carries this season, according to teammate RB Fred Jackson. 'I don't know exactly what my role is going to be, Jackson said. 'They say that they want Shady (McCoy) to get 300-plus carries next year. So that's a guy you're feeding the ball all the time. So I'll be ready when my number is called.'

Footballguys view: That sounds about right. McCoy is going to be the bellcow back on one of the most run-heavy teams in the league. He's had over 300 carries each of the last two seasons, and he's rushed for almost 3,000 yards combined during that time. McCoy can handle this workload, and he'll be the centerpiece of the Bills offense.

Bills | BUF not interested in Ray Rice    Sun May 31, 02:26 PM

Free-agent RB Ray Rice (Ravens) is not a player the Buffalo Bills are interested in signing, according to a source.

Footballguys view: BREAKING: the team with one of the best running backs in the league (LeSean McCoy) and incredible depth at the position (Fred Jackson, Bryce Brown, Karlos Williams, Anthony Dixon) are unlikely to have interest in a back who is no longer what he used to be and didn't play football last year. It would be truly shocking if a team with a stacked depth chart at running back like the Bills would have interest in Rice.

Bills | EJ Manuel adds weight    Sun May 31, 09:56 AM

Buffalo Bills QB EJ Manuel said he added around 10 pounds of muscle this offseason in the hopes of staying healthy during the regular season. Manuel said he believes he still has his quickness and the ability to move around.

Footballguys view: Adding weight may not be the answer for Manuel staying healthy. He needs to learn when to slide after he crosses the line of scrimmage as a runner. We like that Manuel wants to fight for extra yards, but he needs to be safer when he scrambles.

Bills | Tyrod Taylor garnering praise    Sat May 30, 08:56 AM

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor is in the competition to be the starting quarterback as much as anyone else, according to quarterback coach David Lee. Lee added, 'I think he has a beautiful throwing motion and I just have to think we've got to see how accurate he is.' Head coach Rex Ryan provided Taylor first-team repetitions along with QBs EJ Manuel and Matt Cassel through the first four workouts. 'He is an unknown, never played a whole lot in Baltimore,' Ryan said. 'I think the ability is hard to ignore, some of the things that he has.'

Footballguys view: Watch out for Taylor here in deeper leagues. Rushing quarterbacks are always valuable fantasy assets when starting, and Taylor could make a strong push for the job in training camp. He turned down an offer for more money to back up Peyton Manning in Denver because Taylor believes he can start at this level. The Bills are looking for a quarterback to lead their run-heavy offense, and Taylor may be able to beat out both Matt Cassel and E.J. Manuel.

Bills | Matt Simms claimed    Fri May 29, 05:34 PM

New York Jets QB Matt Simms was claimed off waivers by the Buffalo Bills Friday, May 29. The Bills also waived QB Jeff Tuel.

Footballguys view: We don't see Simms as anything more than a camp arm for the Bills. As a former Jets player, Simms has ties to Rex Ryan and he knows what the coach wants from a quarterback.

Bills | LeSean McCoy limited Wednesday    Wed May 27, 09:48 PM

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (neck) was limited during organized team activities Wednesday, May 27, because of a neck injury. Head coach Rex Ryan said McCoy's injury is not serious.

Footballguys view: McCoy is going to get plenty of work during the regular season. He's the centerpiece of the Bills offense, so it's wise for them to take it easy on him if he's a little banged up during OTAs.

Bills | Buffalo QBs receiving equal reps at OTAs    Wed May 27, 02:37 PM

Buffalo Bills QBs EJ Manuel, Matt Cassel, Tyrod Taylor and Jeff Tuel were given equal repetitions during organized team activities Tuesday, May 26. Manuel and Cassel worked with the starters while Taylor and Tuel worked with the backups. Head coach Rex Ryan said he wants to give everyone a fair chance.

Footballguys view: Cassel has the most experience, but he's not an exciting option as a starter. Manuel is big, somewhat athletic and has a strong arm but his decision making needs a lot of work. Taylor could be a sleeper here. He's ultra athletic and has a rocket arm. He needs to show better accuracy as a passer if he wants to win the starting job in Buffalo.

Bills | Rex Ryan favoring Tyrod Taylor?    Sun May 24, 08:50 PM

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor was recruited by head coach Rex Ryan in free agency. Ryan believes in the talent evaluation personnel of Taylor's former team, the Baltimore Ravens, and he has always wanted a dual-threat quarterback to lead his run-heavy offense.

Footballguys view: Taylor is one of the quickest and fastest players in the NFL. He can get to top speed in a hurry, and Taylor has make-you-miss ability as a runner in the open field. Taylor possesses a rocket arm, but his accuracy leaves a lot to be desired. He was a 57 percent passer in four years of college at Virginia Tech, and Taylor has only thrown 35 passes in four years as a pro (with a completion percentage of 54.3). He's the most interesting of the Buffalo QBs, and rushing quarterbacks are always players fantasy owners should be monitoring.

Bills | EJ Manuel part of open competition     Sat May 23, 11:44 PM

Buffalo Bills QBs EJ Manuel, Matt Cassel, Tyrod Taylor and Jeff Tuel will all have a chance to win the starting job, according to general manager Doug Whaley.

Footballguys view: Let's go ahead and leave Tuel out of this conversation. Manuel is big, athletic and has a strong arm but he failed to make quick decisions as a passer. Cassel has the most experience, but he's not an exciting option as a starter--even for a team that is going to be run-heavy on offense. Taylor is supremely gifted athletically and he has a rocket arm, but he's unproven and needs to be more accurate as a passer. The Bills are going to run the ball as much as possible, and any starting quarterback for them isn't going to be much of a fantasy factor.

Bills | OC says EJ Manuel won't be cut    Wed May 20, 02:36 AM

Buffalo Bills QB EJ Manuel has a firm believer in offensive coordinator Greg Roman, who has said Manuel will not be cut in camp if he doesn't show progress.

Footballguys view: The talk about Manuel getting cut was a bit surprising, but anything can happen in the NFL. Teams can move on from young quarterbacks if things aren't moving in the right direction. Manuel has raw natural talent and athleticism, but he needs to improve (and quicken) his decision making and accuracy as a passer.

Bills | Ronald Darby signs    Tue May 19, 05:26 PM

Buffalo Bills rookie CB Ronald Darby signed a four-year deal worth $4.6 million Tuesday, May 19, according to a source.

Footballguys view: The Bills didn't have a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft, but they promptly scooped up Darby in the second round. He's a speedy cover corner with the hip transition to play off the line of scrimmage. Darby has good click-and-close ability when the play unfolds in front of him. The rookie has starter's upside, but this season he'll compete to be the nickel corner behind Leodis McKelvin and Stephon Gilmore.

Bills | Sanjay Lal talks Buffalo WRs    Tue May 19, 09:10 AM

Buffalo Bills wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal discussed the team's wide receivers in great detail Monday, May 18, saying he likes the flexibility among the corps and their ability to execute on the field. Lal believes Bills WR Sammy Watkins can become a complete receiver, and he praised WR Robert Woods' ability as a route runner. Lal doesn't want to pigeonhole WR Percy Harvin as being a gadget-play receiver.

Footballguys view: The Bills have almost everything for a playoff run...and they certainly have a fine group of wide receivers. The talent is there, but fantasy owners need to recognize that this is going to be a run-heavy offense featuring superstar running back LeSean McCoy. Buffalo is set up with quality talent on both sides of the ball, but they still lack a good quarterback. We'll see if Matt Cassel, E.J. Manuel or Tyrod Taylor can take advantage and be decent with the star talent around them.

Bills | EJ Manuel fighting for roster spot?    Mon May 18, 10:06 AM

Buffalo Bills QB EJ Manuel needs to show serious progress in organized team activities and training camp or he could be released before the season, in the opinion of beat writer Joe Buscaglia.

Footballguys view: Manuel was the team's first-round pick in 2013 with the idea that he could be the quarterback of the future. That has all changed now after two seasons of injury, inconsistency and disappointment. Manuel is big, athletic and has a strong arm but he fails to make decisions quickly (or throw accurately) as a passer. He's competing with Matt Cassel and Tyrod Taylor for the starting job in Buffalo.

Bills | Matt Cassel to be backup?    Fri May 15, 07:32 PM

Buffalo Bills QB Matt Cassel is likely to enter Week 1 of the season as the team's backup quarterback, in the opinion of The Buffalo News' Vic Carucci. He also thinks head coach Rex Ryan and offensive coordinator Greg Roman are open-minded about QB EJ Manuel and will give him a fair shot to compete for a starting job this summer. If Cassel or QB Tyrod Taylor win the starting job, the Bills would be expected to trade Manuel before outright cutting him.

Footballguys view: Manuel certainly has more upside than Cassel, even though he also has a much lower floor. The Bills know what Cassel is, but Manuel could be better if Roman can leverage his running ability and put him in a position to succeed as he did with Colin Kaepernick earlier in his career. Taylor is also a running QB and shouldn't be dismissed if this truly is an open competition, only because of the quality of his competition.

Bills | Karlos Williams signs    Thu May 14, 05:34 PM

Buffalo Bills RB Karlos Williams signed his four-year rookie deal Thursday, May 14. Financial terms were undisclosed.

Footballguys view: Williams has a very physical running style and could fit into the Bills run-heavy scheme very well. He's a one-cut, downhill runner with some red flags both from a football and character standpoint. The Bills won't depend on him this season unless LeSean McCoy and/or Fred Jackson go down.

Bills | EJ Manuel likes new offense    Wed May 13, 01:29 PM

Buffalo Bills QB EJ Manuel said he likes the new offense that offensive coordinator Greg Roman is bringing to the team. 'I just think the dynamics that we have and the personnel that we have, you look at the receivers, running backs and the tight ends we have at the skill positions and the O-linemen getting better, getting stronger, getting nastier,' Manuel said. 'But with the shifts and motions and the things we'll do to mix it up for a defense is going to be really good. Instead of just being vanilla we'll have a whole lot of different looks for opponents to prepare for.'

Footballguys view: Manuel has looked uncomfortable running a pro offense since the Bills selected him in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft. Having him more comfortable in the system could lead to Manuel playing better. He's competing for the starting job with Matt Cassel and Tyrod Taylor. The winner of the competition is not going to be much of a fantasy factor due to the run-heavy nature of the Bills offense.

Bills | John Conner to Buffalo    Wed May 13, 11:53 AM

Free-agent FB John Conner (Jets) signed with the Buffalo Bills Wednesday, May 13. FB Corey Knox was waived to make room for him.

Bills | Fred Jackson may miss final cut?    Tue May 12, 03:10 PM

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson may not make the final roster if the Bills end up keeping only three running backs, according to Mike Rodak of ESPN.com. RB LeSean McCoy is a lock for the final roster, while RBs Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown will also compete for a spot.

Footballguys view: We can't imagine this happening, but in the NFL anything is possible. We would rather keep Jackson--and his $2.7 million cap number--over cheaper options like Dixon or Brown.

Bills | Rex Ryan eats with La'El Collins    Mon May 4, 11:05 PM

Louisiana State OT La'El Collins met with Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan in Baton Rouge Monday, May 4, after the standout met with police earlier in the day. He was considered a likely first-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft before he was linked to a woman who was recently murdered.

Footballguys view: Collins was not drafted, and now he's free to sign anywhere. There should be several teams interested if Collins is cleared in this case. At this time, he's cooperating with police and not a suspect in this horrendous crime.

Bills | Jerry Hughes impressing his coach    Thu Apr 30, 06:51 PM

Buffalo Bills DE Jerry Hughes was pulled from practice Wednesday, April 29, by head coach Rex Ryan, in order for the offense to get some work in. Ryan said Hughes had five or six sacks before being pulled. 'This just in: I am really happy we signed Jerry Hughes back,' Ryan said Wednesday. 'It's rare that you have to pull a guy from practice because he's ruining your practice. I had to pull him today.'

Footballguys view: Hughes is good but remember Bills fans - this is how Rex Ryan operates. He pumps his players way up. The thing you should be concerned with is, how bad is the offensive line if he was getting tons of sacks? Of course, this is all non-contact anyway so again, take it with a grain of salt.

Bills | Unlikely to enter first round    Wed Apr 29, 01:23 PM

The Buffalo Bills likely will not trade up in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, according to head coach Rex Ryan.

Footballguys view: The Bills are already without a first-rounder, and with modest success last year, the price to get back into the first from their first pick in the mid-second would be too high, especially in a class that doesn't have 32 first-round quality talents.

Bills | Three Buffalo QBs receive equal reps    Tue Apr 28, 05:12 PM

Buffalo Bills QBs Matt Cassel, EJ Manuel and Tyrod Taylor each took an equal amount of snaps Tuesday, April 28, at the team's voluntary minicamp. Head coach Rex Ryan didn't name a favorite, saying all three could be [starting] NFL quarterbacks.

Footballguys view: Round and round we go, where this stops nobody knows. As we get closer to the regular season there will be a frontrunner who emerges. Cassel has the most experience, Manuel was their 2013 first-round pick, and Taylor is the intriguing (and super athletic) sleeper. None will have great fantasy value in Ryan's run-heavy offense.

Bills | Sammy Watkins to be full go    Wed Apr 15, 11:32 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (hip) is able to work out in some capacity during the team's offseason program, although head coach Rex Ryan indicated Wednesday, April 15, that he doesn't expect Watkins to do many football-related activities training camp. "My understanding is Sammy is doing really well," Ryan said. "We're not going to see him out there until training camp. But he should be full go when we get to training camp."

Footballguys view: The Bills have no reason to rush Watkins back onto the practice field at this time. We believe they'll ease him in at training camp, and he should be able to ramp up his participation quickly as we get closer to the start of the regular season.

Bills | Matt Cassel has high hopes    Tue Apr 14, 07:25 PM

Buffalo Bills QB Matt Cassel believes the talent in Buffalo exceeds that of the 2010 Kansas City Chiefs squad he was a part of. 'We've got all the pieces to the puzzle here to be a successful football team. Our offense has the best skill players in all the league in my opinion.'

Footballguys view: Let's not get crazy here Cassel. Yes, the Bills have stud options at running back and wide receiver but they still lack a dangerous quarterback. We expect Cassel to win the starting job because of his experience, but he'll have to beat out E.J. Manuel and Tyrod Taylor for the job in training camp.

Bills | Robert Woods set for fewer targets?    Fri Apr 10, 02:32 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Robert Woods could see a notable drop in targets in 2015 after the additions of RB LeSean McCoy, WR Percy Harvin and TE Charles Clay. Woods was targeted 104 times in 2014 and had 699 yards. However, Woods thinks he'll still have plenty of opportunities to make an impact in the passing game. He'll be playing for new offensive coordinator Greg Roman, and Woods already believes Roman's scheme will create more chances for the offense to make big plays.

Footballguys view: Woods is an odd man out with two additional targets in the short and intermediate passing game added this offseason plus a run-first mentality. It might take him landing on a second team after his rookie contract is up in 2016 for Woods to realize his fantasy potential.

Free-agent SS Dawan Landry (Jets) is visiting with the Buffalo Bills Tuesday, April 7.

Footballguys view: Head coach Rex Ryan likes Landry dating back to their days together with the Baltimore Ravens. He's an in-the-box safety who can stuff the run, but he struggles in coverage.

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills CB Leodis McKelvin (ankle) is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, head coach Rex Ryan indicated Monday, April 6.

Footballguys view: McKelvin is one of the most important defenders on the Bills' suffocating defense. They don't need to rush him back, and instead will ease him back when training camp rolls around.
