'There are consequences for your actions, that's just the way it is,'' Carroll said. 'And because you (the media) don't know about it doesn't mean that something is not going on, and we don't share that stuff with you because we don't have to and there is no need to. So we just do our work on the inside and take care of business.'

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks FS Earl Thomas (personal) missed practice Friday, Sept. 21, due to personal issues, according to head coach Pete Carroll. His availability for Week 3 is unclear at this point.

Footballguys view: Thomas isn't as crucial against a toothless Cowboys passing game, but this is a curious absence. We'll be watching this to see if there's anything to the possibility that Thomas is being traded.

Footballguys view: The Patriots will miss Chung and Flowers against the Lions passing game. Gordon isn't a sure thing to play and probably won't get enough snaps to be a safe start if he does, but we'll be watching every snap he gets very closely.

Footballguys view: Conklin could return and give the Titans the first game with both starting tackles this year. Mariota will be a game-time decision and might not finish the game if he starts because of a tricky nerve issue in his throwing arm.

  Dolphins | Week 2 injury report for Miami    Fri Sep 21, 02:03 PM

Miami Dolphins S Reshad Jones (shoulder) was limited in practice for a second straight day Friday, Sept. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders. WR Danny Amendola (non-injury), LS John Denney (shoulder), RB Kenyan Drake (abdomen), RB Frank Gore (non-injury), CB Bobby McCain (knee), WR DeVante Parker (finger), DT Jordan Phillips (knee) and QB Ryan Tannehill (knee, ankle) all participated fully in practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. DE William Hayes (finger) was limited in practice Friday after participating fully in each of the previous two days but was also removed from the injury report.

Footballguys view: Jones is an IDP stud, so IDP players need to be watching this situation, as does anyone with Jared Cook, whose matchup would be improved if Jones can't go on Sunday. The Dolphins D/ST would also lose some luster as a streamer if Jones is out.

  Panthers | Panthers rule out trio for Week 3    Fri Sep 21, 01:08 PM

Carolina Panthers OG Trai Turner (concussion), S Da'Norris Searcy (concussion) and WR Curtis Samuel (illness) were ruled out Friday, Sept. 21, for the Week 3 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Footballguys view: The Panthers will be without three starters on the offensive line against the Bengals this week.
