He's got a lot to adjust to and learn,' Henderson said. Wilcox said he does not think his inexperience will be a factor and that he expects to compete for a starting job.

Free-agent DB Charles Woodson (Packers) was looking to sign with a contending team but is now willing to sign with a team in a rebuilding phase. 'When this process first started out, that was my thing -- I needed to go to a contender,' Woodson said. 'I know I am towards the end of my career. At this point, I want to play football. So if it is a rebuilding stage, at this point if that is the circumstances I have to play under, then that is what I am going to do.'

"Anytime a guy's operated on, you're concerned, especially at this time of year," Phillips said. "If it'd have been right after the season, it'd have been different. So there's a little concern, but the good thing about (Reed), he's experienced it before. He's an experienced guy. You have no problem with him studying or knowing what you're doing. He's going to spend all the time it takes off the field to get ready. So I think Ed'll be ready when it's time."

Tennessee Titans S Robert Johnson (Lisfranc) is at about 80 percent health right now after suffering a torn ligament and Lisfranc fracture in Week 13. He hopes to be back by the middle of OTAs in June. 'They put screws (in the foot) for that kind of injury and sometimes they leave them in there for life,' Johnson said. 'But with me, they kind of left it in for a few months and then recently took it out because the torn ligament in my foot has built back pretty well. So I'm excited.'
