Indianapolis Colts FS Malik Hooker took part in the offseason program for the first time in three seasons, and he caught the eye of head coach Frank Reich.

Footballguys view: A first-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft, Hooker was recovering from injuries the last few offseasons. He's effective when healthy and did play 14 games in 2018 after playing in only seven games as a rookie.   49ers | San Francisco unlikely to add safety    Sat May 25, 03:26 PM

Free-agent SS Eric Berry (Chiefs) and SS Tre Boston (Cardinals) likely will not receive interest from the San Francisco 49ers even though S Jimmie Ward (collarbone) is expected to be sidelined for eight to 12 weeks, in the opinion of NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco.

Footballguys view: Ward is projected to be a starter at free safety, although this could open the door for last year's Week 1 starter Adrian Colbert. Maiocco thinks Berry's durability is also questionable, and Boston is more of a hybrid safety than pure free safety, which is Ward's position.

Free-agent TE Mik'Quan Deane (Seahawks) signed with the Buffalo Bills Wednesday, May 22. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also waived OT Blake Hance and S Abraham Wallace.

Footballguys view: Deane was undrafted out of Western Kentucky this year and only lasted a couple of weeks with the Seahawks. Over the last two seasons with the Hilltoppers, Deane snared 55 catches for 673 yards and five touchdowns. Measuring in at 6'4" 240 pounds, Deane is an athletic player who has yet to play his best football. He's a long-shot to even make the practice squad for the Bills, even though their TE position has been ravaged by injuries recently. We'll monitor Deane in super crazy deep dynasty formats.

Packers | Josh Jones wants out    Tue May 21, 08:20 AM

Green Bay Packers SS Josh Jones is away from voluntary organized team activities and working out in Florida because he's hoping to be traded, according to a source.

Footballguys view: A couple of moves the Packers made this offseason must not have sat well with Jones. They added Adrian Amos in free agency then they drafted Darnell Savage in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft. There was thought that Jones would now be moved to linebacker, and that may be something he doesn't want to do. If on the trade block, the Packers could get quite a bit of interest.
