Footballguys view: The deal includes $34 million in guaranteed money. A great deal for Jones as he is now the second-highest paid inside linebacker in the NFL. His 2018 season was limited to just six games because of a foot injury. Healthy now, Jones has to be locked in on getting back to his dominant play. The Falcons have now come to long-term extensions with Jones and DT Grady Jarrett. This means they can move on to get something done with WR Julio Jones to make him one of the highest paid WRs in the league (again).
