Titans | William Campbell signs with Titans    Tue Jul 26, 06:18 PM

Free-agent OL William Campbell (Packers) signed with the Tennessee Titans Tuesday, July 26.

Titans | Andre Johnson at Titans' facility    Tue Jul 26, 05:45 PM

Free-agent WR Andre Johnson (Colts) was spotted at the Tennessee Titans' team facility Tuesday, July 26. He has not officially signed, however.

Footballguys view: Both sides were feeling each other out here, and no signing is imminent. Johnson is not what he used to be, but perhaps a team like the Titans would be interested in the veteran WR. We can't see him having much--if any--fantasy value were he to sign with the Titans.

Titans | Tajae Sharpe has crisp route-running     Thu Jul 21, 06:35 PM

Tennessee Titans rookie WR Tajae Sharpe has already proven himself as one of the best route-runners on the Titans in his first offseason in the NFL. Sharpe also caught the ball consistently.

Footballguys view: He really does run excellent routes, and he fights hard for the ball both things having led to first-team reps this spring. He's not quite someone you grab as more than a roster cushion--say a WR8 or so--but if there are injuries on the squad he has the ability to be a WR3. That's upside though and we might not see it at all this year.

Titans | Harry Douglas could be cut    Thu Jul 21, 06:25 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Harry Douglas is not a lock to make the 53-man roster, according to Jimy Wyatt of titansonline.com. WRs Justin Hunter and Tre McBride will also be battling for a spot.

Footballguys view: Douglas wasn't all that exciting back in Atlanta, so a change of scenery wasn't really expected to have a big impact. There are too many youngsters there with upside for us to believe he can survive cuts. Keep him off your roster.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham not in best shape    Thu Jul 21, 06:16 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham needs to be in better shape when training camp commences, even after losing some weight last season.

Footballguys view: On top of needing to get his timing and routes together, which certainly was as big a factor as conditioning in his underwhelming performance last year. Add in the continuing slow growth of the Titans offense and we see him as a WR5 this year. The natural talent is there for him to be much more, but it may not yet be in the cards.

Titans | Marcus Mariota needs to hold onto ball    Wed Jul 20, 05:12 PM

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota fumbled the ball 10 times in 2015, and the team lost six of those fumbles. Mariota said his ball security was something he wanted to work on this offseason.

Footballguys view: Mariota is one of the most exciting young QBs in the league, but he needs to hold onto the rock. We don't see the Titans running away from any opponent, so ball-security is incredibly important as opportunities may be limited compared to others offenses. He's a low-end QB2 for fantasy owners in 2016.

Titans | DeMarco Murray likely to run often    Tue Jul 19, 09:58 AM

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray is expected to be the team's workhorse in 2016.

Footballguys view: The Titans want to run the ball as much as possible with their 'exotic smashmouth' offense which features both Murray and rookie Derrick Henry. The system is a better fit for Murray than what he had with the Eagles, but fantasy owners shouldn't expect him to produce like he did when he was with the Cowboys. Instead, consider Murray a low-end RB2 with upside. Murray has a current ADP of RB20 (5.02) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Titans | Two TEs may compete for one spot    Sun Jul 17, 05:57 PM

Tennessee Titans TE Phillip Supernaw and Jerome Cunningham likely will compete for one roster spot during training camp.

Footballguys view: Undrafted out of Ouachita Baptist University in 2012, Supernaw has bounced around to a few teams before landing with the Titans. Cunningham came out of Southern Connecticut State, but he also went undrafted and spent 2013 out of football. Neither one is much more than a prospect for fantasy owners in super deep dynasty leagues to keep track of. We like Cunningham's athleticism and feel he may be the superior player of the two.

Titans | Justin Hunter's roster spot safe?    Fri Jul 15, 12:40 AM

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter will likely make the 53-man roster because of his athleticism and potential, according to beat writer Terry McCormick.

Footballguys view: All that potential is going to be wasted if he doesn't actually use it and at some point we expect the Titans to get sick of waiting for it to emerge. With Dorial Green-Beckham and Rishard Matthews around, talent is not going to be enough. While Hunter teases you on occasion, he's not worth rostering until he shows anything resembling consistency.

Titans | Kendall Wright needs to improve    Fri Jul 15, 12:35 AM

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright has been told he needs to improve his route running and is expected to be used as a slot receiver.

Footballguys view: Wright is one of the better receivers on a suddenly crowded roster. That said, he sort of did what he wanted to during past seasons and if he won't run the route he's supposed to when he's supposed to, Dorial Green-Beckham, Harry Douglas, and Rishard Matthews are right behind him, waiting. With this particular offense and some of his issues, we think Wright is a WR5/WR6 at best.

Titans | RB coach high on Derrick Henry    Fri Jul 8, 05:31 PM

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry will be a good player for the Titans, but he will have to adjust to playing in the NFL, according to running backs coach Sylvester Croom. 'He's going to be a good football player,' Croom said. 'He's just going to have to learn, but everybody does. When I was a rookie coach, a first-year coach, I had to learn. You have to learn what working in the NFL is like, because it is totally different than college.'

Footballguys view: He has to contend with DeMarco Murray in 2016, but long term we love his prospects. This year he will start as an RB4 but if Murray stumbles, we could see his value go up. Keep an eye on him if he drops in your drafts.

Titans | RB coach impressed with DeMarco Murray    Fri Jul 8, 05:16 PM

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray has impressed running backs coach Sylvester Croom with his work ethic and his abilities on the field.

Footballguys view: Murray has everything to gain by a big season, so we expect him to be focused. Splitting time in the 'exotic smashmout' backfield with rookie Derrick Henry could hold him back a bit, so we see him as a borderline RB2/RB3.

Titans | No concerns for Derrick Henry's workload    Sun Jul 3, 10:57 PM

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry's heavy workload in college was never a concern, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Footballguys view: Henry's 395 carries in 2015 were the most in the FBS, and so were his 2,219 yards rushing. Over the last two years, Henry has toted the rock over 567 times and that's close to Cowboys first-round pick Ezekiel Elliott (562) and Broncos fourth-round pick Devontae Booker (560) yet there isn't the same talk about 'overuse' for those two RBs. In fact, we're excited about Elliott this year and Booker in the future. Henry is going to be used in a RBBC with DeMarco Murray and that should help keep the rookie fresh...and keep opponents worn out.

Titans | Quinton Spain working to remain starter    Thu Jun 30, 09:41 PM

Tennessee Titans OG Quinton Spain is the frontrunner to start at left guard entering training camp, according to head coach Mike Mularkey, and Spain said he has been 'attacking' the offseason to stay in shape and keep the starting spot.

Titans | Justin Hunter needs to step up    Wed Jun 29, 04:31 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter said he needs to take his production to another level during training camp if he wants to make the 53-man roster 'I am definitely going to have to bring it in training camp. There's a lot of competition, a lot of people fighting for positions and things like that. You can't slack off because another guy is coming for your spot. I have to keep grinding,' Hunter said.

Footballguys view: He's been a tease during his pro career, and we can't imagine this would be the year Hunter finally plays up to his potential. The Titans offense is going to run the ball as much as possible, and there are many other WRs we'd put ahead of him on the waiver-wire speed dial.

Titans | Dorial Gree-Beckham has been studying    Wed Jun 29, 03:12 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham said he's been studying his playbook a lot this offseason and furthering his knowledge on what his assignments are. Head coach Mike Mularkey said Green-Beckham has improved this offseason, but he wants to see more in order for the young receiver to reach his full potential.

Footballguys view: Green-Beckham is far from a finished product, and it's good to hear that he's doing everything he can to improve. From a physical standpoint, Green-Beckham is big, fast and can win at the point of the catch. From a technical point of view, the second-year pro needs to refine his routes and learn how to set up defenders better. The Titans are going to have a run-heavy offense, so the passing game numbers will be limited. Green-Beckham has a current ADP of WR40 (9.01) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Titans | Justin Hunter fighting for a spot    Wed Jun 29, 02:07 AM

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter is entering the fourth and final season of his rookie contract. He has yet to record 30 catches or more than 500 yards receiving in a season, and each of his past two years have been cut short by injury. It's likely he'll be fighting for the No. 5 receiver job with WR Harry Douglas.

Footballguys view: Hunter's career will likely always read "what might have been." He's got a tremendous physical skill set, but Hunter has yet to truly play up to his potential. This season, there's no guarantee that Hunter even makes the final roster. Perhaps something will spark him when he lands with another team.

Titans | Harry Douglas showing leadership    Wed Jun 29, 02:06 AM

Tennessee Titans WR Harry Douglas has a long history with head coach Mike Mularkey and offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie from their days together with the Atlanta Falcons. Despite that, a spot on the 53-man final roster is not guaranteed. Despite his leadership during the spring practices, it is believed Douglas will be battling WR Justin Hunter for the fifth receiver spot.

Footballguys view: Unless you get points for leadership, make sure to stay away from Douglas in your fantasy drafts. In fact, the entire Titans passing game should be limited by a run-heavy offense...if their defense can keep them in games.

Titans | Marcus Mariota just wants to win    Tue Jun 28, 12:40 PM

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota said he will hand the ball off 40 times if that's what it takes to win. 'That's what's important to me, to (give) us an opportunity to win,' Mariota said. 'Having those two workhorses back there should help us out.'

Footballguys view: The Titans have an "exotic smashmouth" rushing game led by DeMarco Murray with rookie Derrick Henry too. That facet of their offense should be featured...if the defense can keep the team in games. Mariota's fantasy value will be limited by the nature of the offense, so fantasy owners should look at him as a mid-range QB2. His current ADP is QB16 (11.07) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham optimistic    Fri Jun 24, 04:20 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham said he is happy with how he performed during offseason workouts and expects to be more productive in 2016 because he is more comfortable.

Footballguys view: Green-Beckham is currently looking up at fifth-round rookie Tajae Sharpe on the depth chart, but with a good camp and preseason, he should overtake him and start outside opposite Rishard Matthews. The Titans are going to have a low volume pass offense that spreads the ball around, so Green-Beckham's sleeper status is based mostly on his talent and potential, not his situation or role.

Titans | Antonio Andrews stepping up    Thu Jun 23, 11:53 PM

Tennessee Titans RB Antonio Andrews has responded well to the added competition of RB DeMarco Murray and RB Derrick Henry, head coach Mike Mularkey said.

Footballguys view: Andrews powerful running style and low center of gravity makes him a useful back in an "exotic smashmouth" approach. While the Titans don't have the money or draft capital invested in him that they have in Demarco Murray and Derrick Henry, Andrews has momentum and a chip on his shoulder. We will hear from him again, but it might not be this year in Tennessee.

Titans |DeMarco Murray in better situation    Wed Jun 22, 07:32 PM

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray believes Tennessee's offensive system is a better fit for him than the Philadelphia Eagles' offense. 'It's strictly downhill and that's what I've been accustomed to my entire life,' Murray said. 'Nothing against last year or what happened, it just didn't work out, but I'm very excited about this upcoming season.'

Footballguys view: Murray was flummoxed by a Philadelphia running game that asked for more first step burst from him. A downhill running game does suit him, but it could limit the amount of read option calls for Marcus Mariota, because that requires the running back to take the carry from a standstill instead of with a head of steam. Derrick Henry will also do best in a downhill system, so while this enhances Murray, it also gives Henry a good chance to outplay him or at least be the hotter hand at times.

Titans | QB Marcus Mariota struggling with vertical routes    Sun Jun 19, 06:19 PM

Second-year quarterback Marcus Mariota has (by his own admission) been struggling with vertical throws according to The Tennessean's Joe Rexrode. During the team's recent minicamp, Mariota was overthrowing his targets at times when going deep.

Footballguys view: Everyone should be excited by Mariota's potential, but smart fans and fantasy owners will realize that he's a work in progress. Any sort of major strides to his game may be a year or two away. According to this report, Mariota likes to gamble a bit too much throwing over the middle and his pass-placement on back-shoulder throws needs improvement. We love Mariota's upside, but right now can only recommend him as a mid-range QB2. Mariota has a current ADP of QB16 (10.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Titans | Tajae Sharpe to open camp as starter?    Thu Jun 16, 02:08 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Tajae Sharpe has impressed head coach Mike Mularkey, and Sharpe is expected to begin training camp as a starting wide receiver.

Footballguys view: It's going to be quite the battle between Dorial Green-Beckham and Sharpe. It's possible they both end up starting along with Rishard Matthews, since Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter have disappointed overall and Harry Douglas is over the hill. Rookies have steep learning curve, so Sharpe may falter when the fur starts flying for real. Right now we aren't throwing him on our rosters, but he has the chance to be a solid WR5 with upside. We just need to see more.

  Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham still a project    Thu Jun 16, 01:47 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham remains somewhat of a project at the NFL level after he was thrown out of Missouri in college and went to Oklahoma but didn't play in 2014. Wide receivers coach Bob Bratkowski thinks the time off hurt Green-Beckham's game and caused him to develop at a slower pace. Green-Beckham was picked by the former Titans regime under general manager Ruston Webster, and new general manager Jon Robinson has said before that he's not particularly interested in projects. For now, Bratkowski said things are trending in the right direction for Green-Beckham.

Footballguys view: Reports have rookie Tajae Sharpe playing ahead of Green-Beckham right now, so it will be an interesting battle between he and Sharpe. Right now we feel Green-Beckham will win out, and should end up as a decent WR5 to start, but right now it seems like it's anyone's game. It's also possible both Sharpe and Green-Beckham could vault the underwhelming Harry Douglas, Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter.

Titans | Tajae Sharpe passes Green-Beckham    Wed Jun 15, 02:39 AM

Tennessee Titans WR Tajae Sharpe has passed WR Dorial Green-Beckham and WR Justin Hunter on the depth chart as Sharpe worked with the first-team in practice Tuesday, June 14.

Footballguys view: Sharpe has been--dare we say it?--SHARP so far. There's a lot of football to go before the roster is set and this could be a way to fire up Green-Beckham, but if he jumps the second-year receiver, Sharpe could end up a solid WR4 with upside.

Titans | Dexter McCluster will have opportunities    Tue Jun 14, 12:54 PM

Tennessee Titans RB Dexter McCluster thinks he'll have plenty of opportunities to make noise in the backfield even with RBs DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry ahead of him. 'I think it will open up a lot more opportunities for me,' said the 5-8, 170-pound McCluster. 'When you have some big guys that are going to run downhill, that can cause more confusion to a lot of people. I hope (defenses) forget all about me and I can get open.' McCluster has a versatile skill set and can also help on special teams returning punts.

Footballguys view: The 'exotic smashmouth' backfield of the Titans is going to feature plenty of Murray and Henry, but we're not sure how much will be left over for McCluster. He's not a fantasy-relevant player with his limited role.

Titans | Delanie Walker tired of losing    Fri Jun 10, 09:37 PM

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker said the locker room is tired of losing, and the team is buying into head coach Mike Mularkey's system and starting to understand his offense.

Footballguys view: Fantasy owners should be excited about Walker's upside in the Titans offense once again. The Titans are going to run the ball a lot, but when they go through the air we should see Walker used as a primary target. His current ADP is TE5 (6.03) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Titans | Marcus Mariota becoming a leader    Fri Jun 10, 04:30 PM

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota appears to have a better grasp of the offense and has been a true leader during offseason workouts, according to DT Jurrell Casey.

Footballguys view: Mariota should have a better grasp of the offense entering his second season. The team is built around their rushing attack featuring both DeMarco Murray and rookie Derrick Henry, so that should keep things simpler for Mariota when going to the air. We love his dynasty value, but in re-draft leagues we can only recommend Mariota as a low-end QB2. His current ADP is QB16 (10.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Titans | Tennessee may use hot hand at RB    Fri Jun 10, 03:23 PM

Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie said the amount of carries RB DeMarco Murray and RB Derrick Henry receive each game may be determined by how they are playing that game.

Footballguys view: Their 'exotic smashmouth' rushing attack could frustrate fantasy owners in 2016. Murray is the top guy, but Henry is impressive enough as a two-down back to get some work as well. Right now, Murray has an ADP of RB19 (4.09) while Henry is going off the board as RB51 (12.11) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Titans | Derrick Henry impressing with hands    Fri Jun 10, 02:55 AM

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry has impressed the team with his hands as a receiver, which head coach Mike Mularkey said makes Henry even more dangerous.

Footballguys view: Henry had below-average hands on film at Alabama, and we're not sure he's completely turned that around now in a few practices with the Titans. The rookie is a big back who can finish, and he reminds many in the scouting community of former Giants RB Brandon Jacobs. Henry will work in a RBBC with DeMarco Murray this season.

Titans | Coordinator impressed with Marcus Mariota    Tue Jun 7, 06:11 PM

Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie said he has been impressed with that he has seen from QB Marcus Mariota on tape and during practice. Robiskie said Mariota has done a good job learning the offense that the coaching staff is installing.

Footballguys view: Mariota wants to avoid the sophomore slump this year. The Titans are going to run the ball early and often with DeMarco Murray and rookie Derrick Henry. That should set things up nicely for Mariota when the team needs to go through the air. Fantasy owners should consider Mariota more of a low-end QB2, but dynasty owners should love his upside and future potential in the NFL.

Titans | Kendall Wright to stay on script    Tue Jun 7, 05:54 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright will not be allowed to freelance during plays like he may have been allowed to do in the past, according to offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie. Robiskie said he will expect Wright to be where he needs to be during every play. The offensive coordinator said Wright has performed well during offseason workouts.

Footballguys view: Wright has missed eight games over the last two years, and was limited to only 10 games in 2015. If healthy, he can be the team's leading receiver and likely eclipse 1,000 yards. Fantasy owners should consider him a WR6 for this season as the Titans passing game should be limited by their strong rushing attack.

Tennessee Titans WR Nick Harwell was waived Monday, June 6.

Titans | Marcus Mariota can still improve    Sun Jun 5, 01:48 PM

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota is expected to improve his pocket awareness in 2016. Mariota was sacked 38 times in his rookie season -- the most of any quarterback who played in 12 or fewer games. 'I've really emphasized getting rid of the ball instead of taking sacks,' head coach Mike Mularkey said. Mariota has been told an incompletion is OK, and to throw the ball away and move on to the next down. Mariota's knowledge of the offense is also expected to be improved. Mularkey has streamlined the offense for more simplicity.

Footballguys view: Of course he can improve, as Mariota is going into his second season in the NFL. He needs to stay healthy and continue to develop as a passer. Everyone knows he can scramble and throw on the run, and now he'll have to improve his decision-making skill within the pocket. We have confidence in the young passer, but know that the Titans are going to use their "exotic smashmouth" ground attack featuring DeMarco Murray and rookie Derrick Henry. The run-heavy nature of the offense could keep Mariota's fantasy potential around a low-end QB2.

Titans | Bishop Sankey performing well    Fri Jun 3, 03:39 PM

Tennessee Titans RB Bishop Sankey has made some solid plays during offseason workouts, and head coach Mike Mularkey said he believes the competition at the position has improved the play of several of the running backs. Sankey is expected to compete with RBs Antonio Andrews and David Cobb for roster spots during training camp.

Footballguys view: We'll believe when we see it. Sankey has been a total bust for the Titans, and he's buried on the depth chart. The Titans are going to use an "exotic smashmouth" backfield featuring both DeMarco Murray and rookie Derrick Henry.

Titans | HC challenges Justin Hunter    Wed Jun 1, 11:42 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter met with head coach Mike Mularkey before practice Wednesday, June 1, and the head man challenged him. 'I am asking him to step up and be more aggressive about it,' Mularkey said. 'To get up at the line and look at the guy across from him and tell him: 'You can't cover me.' He just needs more confidence in his body language, and everything about him. He has so much talent, he just has to believe he has the talent.'

Footballguys view: Hunter has been a disappointment in his three years in the NFL. He has the size, speed and skill to succeed but has to, as Mularky points out, "want it" more. He also needs to show us before we tell you to waste a roster spot on him.

Titans | Tajae Sharpe works with first team    Wed Jun 1, 11:41 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Tajae Sharpe saw reps with the first-team offense during practice at organized team activities (OTAs) Wednesday, June 1, and he drew praise from head coach Mike Mularkey. 'He is a very good route runner, and he is not intimidated by this level at all. He is very patient in what he does. He is working in a rotation right now with the 1s so he gets to work with (QB Marcus Mariota) at times. So I think he has been as steady as any of them,' Mularkey said.

Footballguys view: Sharpe runs nice routes and fights for the ball, and while we're not ready to assume he will run with the first team when the fur starts flying in September, he's worth keeping an eye on. We love his upside.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham still has to improve    Wed Jun 1, 04:44 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham needs to play faster and not think as much, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Footballguys view: Green-Beckham was away from football for a year before getting drafted in the second round last year, so this isn't a shock. His natural size/athleticism combination can be dominant if he is just adequate playing at speed, so there's a lot of upside if the game slows down for him. Green-Beckham is a good bet to start outside with Rishard Matthews. Kendall Wright is slated to line up in the slot. Tight end Delanie Walker may lead the team in targets, so Green-Beckham will likely be a boom/bust play week-to-week on a team looking to play "exotic smashmouth" football.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham must earn job    Tue May 31, 01:50 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham must earn a starting role in 2016, according to head coach Mike Mularkey. 'How effective is he out here, first? And then we get into these preseason games, see how much we can load him up. We also know we've got some other options too that will be competing with him. So it's not a for sure he's lining up at 'X' for us on opening Sunday. They've got to earn it.' Last week was Green-Beckham's first 'full go' week while dealing with a hamstring problem that has been a problem for years.

Footballguys view: We get this mindset from the veteran coach. Any young player has to "earn it" and they're better off if they do. The upside is through the roof with Green-Beckham. If he continues to develop and establishes good chemistry with QB Marcus Mariota then the second-year WR can eventually be one of the best at his position. That won't happen this year, but Green-Beckham could at least be a WR3/WR4 with upside for fantasy owners in 2016. His current ADP is WR40 (9.01) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Titans | David Cobb has lost weight    Mon May 30, 05:39 PM

Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb has lost seven pounds compared to what he weighed last season. Cobb said it's been nice to have time to get healthy and is motivated because of it.

Footballguys view: We still have an appreciation for Cobb as a runner, but with the addition of DeMarco Murray and rookie Derrick Henry he's 3rd on the depth chart at best. We'll see if this lighter version of Cobb is able to impress during camp and the preseason. Fantasy owners spend a lot of time considering top players on the depth chart, but just know that if injuries hit the Titans RB position Cobb has the talent to be a starting RB.

Titans | Justin Hunter in better shape    Thu May 26, 04:44 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter is up to 209 pounds from the 203 pounds he played at least year thanks to aggressive workouts and a diet change.

Footballguys view: He probably won't end up as a starter, but his size and speed have always made him intriguing as a pro prospect. Watch how this plays out in case he surprises, but we expect Kendall Wright, Rishard Matthews and Dorial Green-Beckham to get most of the targets.

Updating an earlier report, Tennessee Titans LB Kevin Dodd (foot) learned in rookie camp that he had a stress fracture in his fifth metatarsal, and he had a screw inserted into his foot. He's expected back for training camp.

Footballguys view: Dodd was an early second-round pick for a reason. His length/strength combination have made scouts compare him to Michael Bennett (Seahawks). Dodd is relentless in his pursuit of the QB, and when healthy he should bolster the Titans burgeoning pass rush.

Titans | DeMarco Murray looks explosive    Thu May 26, 01:43 PM

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray has received praise from both head coach Mike Mularkey and QB Marcus Mariota during organized team activities this week. 'I certainly liked some of the cuts I saw,' Mularkey said. 'Even without pads on, those were cuts he wasn't going to get touched on. It was going to be an explosive run. You can tell when a play is going to work and not work.'

Footballguys view: Murray is saying and doing all the right things in the wake of the drafting of rookie Derrick Henry, and it looks like the result is a continued status at the top of the food chain. We're not expecting superb fantasy numbers this year, but he should serve as a second or third fantasy back in the Titans "exotic smashmouth" backfield.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham lauded by Mariota    Wed May 25, 07:30 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham impressed QB Marcus Mariota at organized team activities Tuesday, May 25. Mariota called Green-Beckham a stud and said he's gifted physically. 'Hopefully we can find ways to get him the football and let him do this thing,' Mariota said. Head coach Mike Mularkey said a bigger role for Green-Beckham hinges on his grasp of the playbook after the second-year receiver struggled with route-running last year. 'I think he knows that's a point of emphasis for him,' Mularkey said. 'He'll have a lot to say on whether he's that guy or not.'

Footballguys view: Green-Beckham's issues were mostly off the field, so we're not surprised he's looking good on it. We think he's still a year or so away from having a big fantasy impact, but watch his progress this season as an indicator as to when he will finally reach his potential.

Titans | Kendall Wright is heavier    Tue May 24, 04:26 PM

Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright said he feels more explosive at his current 195 pounds, 12 pounds heavier than he was last season.

Footballguys view: This is good news for Wright as he's been a player to get banged up too often. The Titans are going to use their "exotic smashmouth" offense to move the ball mostly on the ground, so we see Wright as low-end WR5 for fantasy owners. His current ADP is WR59 (13.07) in 12-team PPR leagues.
