Titans | Adoree' Jackson signs with Titans Tue May 23, 04:41 PM
Tennessee Titans CB Adoree' Jackson signed his four-year rookie deal Tuesday, May 23. Financial terms were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Jackson was arguably the most athletic player in the 2017 NFL draft. The Titans selected him 18th overall in the first round, and he should be an instant impact player on special teams as a return man. On defense, Jackson has the speed to cover anybody and the ball skills to make field-flipping plays.|
Titans | KJ Maye let go Fri May 19, 04:04 PM
Tennessee Titans WR KJ Maye was waived Friday, May 19.Link to story
Titans | Tennessee adds two to roster Fri May 19, 03:57 PM
Free-agent WR Darius Jennings (Browns) and undrafted free-agent FB Joe Bacci signed undisclosed deals with the Tennessee Titans on Friday, May 19.
|Footballguys view: Undrafted out of Virginia in 2015, Jennings has bounced around to four different teams during his pro career. Jennings is fast and athletic, but he needs improved concentration as a receiver. He would work as a returner for the Titans if they want him to.|
Titans | Roderick Henderson waived Tue May 16, 07:21 PM
Tennessee Titans DT Roderick Henderson was waived Tuesday, May 16.
Titans | Jonnu Smith signs rookie deal Tue May 16, 06:02 PM
Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith signed his four-year rookie contract Tuesday, May 16. Financial terms were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: While in college at Florida International, Smith often drew comparisons to Delanie Walker...and now he gets to learn behind Walker on the Titans depth chart. He's got the speed to work down the middle of the seam deep, but he can also run underneath routes and is a threat after the catch.|

Titans | Marcus Mariota could see some action in OTAs Sun May 14, 11:33 AM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (leg) is not yet running full-speed after fracturing his right fibula late last season, but the coaching staff is attempting to figure out how to get him - along with injured rookie WR Corey Davis - on the field together sooner than later. Organized team activities run from May 23 to June 8, and there is a chance both could see limited work during that time.
|Footballguys view: The Titans will be cautious with Mariota, so if he's just not ready they won't push him. All reports have been positive about his recovery, but his participation level for the offseason is in question. Mariota should do more in training camp and the preseason, and it looks like he'll be ready for Week 1.|

Titans | Marcus Mariota will not be rushed back Sat May 13, 06:27 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota's status for off-season work remains in the 'to be determined' department, according to TitansOnline's Jim Wyatt.
|Footballguys view: We doubt Mariota practices much if at all this offseason. The goal is to have him ready for Week 1 of the regular season, so he might even be limited to start training camp. We'll know more about his status as August draws near. He was the no.13 fantasy QB in 2016 (standard scoring leagues) and could crack into the top 10 this year with the added weapons around him in the passing game.|

Titans | Marcus Mariota not at full speed Fri May 12, 09:25 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota is still not running at full speed, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.
|Footballguys view: No need to rush here. Mariota should be on track to play in Week 1 of the regular season. That's what reports have indicated out of Tennessee, and that's our stance until we hear something different.|

Titans | Corey Davis limited Friday Fri May 12, 06:03 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis (ankle) was a limited participant during practice Friday, May 12. Davis believes he can fully practice at this point, but head coach Mike Mularkey said the team will take things slow with Davis.
|Footballguys view: The Titans are just being cautious and there's no rush, so this isn't a big deal. We will monitor this as camp draws closer, but we aren't on high alert....yet. We do love the pairing of Davis and Marcus Mariota. Given the state of receivers in Tennessee, Davis will be in line for a chunk of targets.|
Titans | Adoree' Jackson to see time at nickel back Fri May 12, 04:26 PM
Tennessee Titans CB Adoree' Jackson will receive some snaps at nickel back during the team's rookie minicamp, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.Link to story
Titans | Four Titans picks sign Fri May 12, 10:24 AM
Tennessee Titans OG Corey Levin, LB Josh Carraway, OT Brad Seaton and RB Khalfani Muhammad signed their rookie four-year deals Friday, May 12.Link to story
Titans | Adoree' Jackson could play offense Tue May 9, 11:20 PM
Tennessee Titans CB Adoree' Jackson could eventually see 'some time' on offense, according to general manager Jon Robinson. Jackson will first work at playing as an inside and outside corner, as well as returning kickoffs and punts, and then 'once he picks up that,' he'll be 'sprinkled' in on offense.
|Footballguys view: Jackson might be the most athletic player in the 2017 draft class. He can contribute on special teams as a return man, Jackson will potentially shine as a defensive back but he could also be used as a gadget player on offense.|
Titans | Two Titans WRs may be on bubble Sun May 7, 06:19 PM
Tennessee Titans WRs Harry Douglas and Tre McBride could be on the roster bubble during training camp if the team decided to keep six receivers on their final roster.
|Footballguys view: The Titans added both Corey Davis and Taywan Taylor in the 2017 NFL draft. Add in 2016 fifth-round pick Tajae Sharpe and you can see how cramped things have become in Tennessee at the WR position. Neither Douglas or McBride have much fantasy appeal...even if they wind up elsewhere in 2017.|

Titans | Delanie Walker to teach Jonnu Smith Sun May 7, 12:43 AM
Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker said he expects TE Jonnu Smith to be a sponge and believes Smith will have an opportunity to contribute and play.
|Footballguys view: A third-round pick from Florida International, Smith was often compared to Walker by those in the scouting community. He's super athletic and can rip the seam down the middle of the field. Smith is a move tight end at the pro level, but he needs to play with better concentration in order to play up to his potential.|

Titans | Marcus Mariota close to 'full-head running' Thu May 4, 08:12 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (leg) said that he feels great and is 'probably another week or two from really full-head running.' In the meantime, he's begun to do some jogging and is continuing to take things one day at a time in doing his best to be prepared for the season.
|Footballguys view: More great news for the young quarterback here. Mariota should do nothing during the offseason work, but it seems like he's on track to fully participate at some point in training camp. The Titans added three quality skill position players to the offense with premium picks in the 2017 NFL draft (WR Corey Davis, WR Taywan Taylor, TE Jonnu Smith) so Mariota could post career-best numbers if fully healthy.|

Titans | Derrick Henry taking part in workouts Wed May 3, 12:12 PM
Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry was back at Saint Thomas Sports Park on Monday, May 2, after missing the first two weeks of the team's voluntary offseason program due to taking classes at the University of Alabama.
|Footballguys view: Nothing to see here people. Henry was back in school, and the team has no issue with his absence.|

Titans | Adoree' Jackson has chance to start in 2017 Sun Apr 30, 05:45 PM
Tennessee Titans CB Adoree' Jackson is in line to be one of the starting cornerbacks in 2017.
|Footballguys view: Jackson was taken advantage of a lot last year despite his high draft slot, and he is especially vulnerable to big receivers, although the AFC South doesn't have a lot of them. We'll be paying attention to who lines up against him, especially in DFS analysis.|
Titans | Tennessee signing Tyler Ferguson Sat Apr 29, 06:57 PM
Undrafted free-agent QB Tyler Ferguson (Western Kentucky) will be signing with the Tennessee Titans.Link to story
Titans | Jonnu Smith selected by Tennessee Sat Apr 29, 12:58 AM
The Tennessee Titans selected TE Jonnu Smith with the 100th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft Friday, April 28.
|Footballguys view: Smith plays like Delanie Walker (Titans), so it makes sense Tennesee would add him to the mix. Like Walker, Smith can attack a defense vertically. The rookie needs to improve his concentration as he's dropped 10 passes over the last two years. We'll be monitoring him in dynasty leagues.|
Titans | Tennessee adds Taywan Taylor Fri Apr 28, 10:15 PM
The Tennessee Titans selected WR Taywan Taylor with the 72nd pick in the 2017 NFL Draft Friday, April 28.
|Footballguys view: A guy who will step right into Tennessee's slot, and his ability to get open, plus his open-field explosiveness will have tremendous impact on this passing offense.|
Titans | Adoree' Jackson selected by the Titans Thu Apr 27, 10:21 PM
The Tennessee Titans selected Southern California CB Adoree' Jackson with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft Thursday, April 27.
|Footballguys view: A little undersized but he had nine return touchdowns in college as a return man and defensive back. A Jim Thorpe Award winner, his athleticism and ability in coverage make him an impact player immediately and the returner skills are gravy.|
Titans | Corey Davis loves Marcus Mariota Thu Apr 27, 09:52 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis said QB Marcus Mariota is his 'favorite' quarterback. 'He is smart, he is very accurate and I told you before I like the swagger he has going on,' Davis said. 'He is very poised, and he is a great leader. Catching passes from him, it is going to be right.'
|Footballguys view: Well the dude knows how to kiss butt. Which is wise when you are the new guy. That said, Davis doesn't have to work that hard, as he is the best receiver they have without any doubt. He and Mariota should have a lot of success.|

Titans | Tennessee selects Corey Davis Thu Apr 27, 08:47 PM
The Tennessee Titans selected Western Michigan WR Corey Davis with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft Thursday, April 27.
|Footballguys view: Tennessee picks up some help for Marcus Mariota, Davis didn't work out for anyone because of an injury. A touchdown machine, Davis is going to have to prove he can do it against better competition than he saw in college. He runs a solid route and has good hands, though, so we think he could be special with Mariota throwing the ball.|
Titans | Coach has not talked with Derrick Henry Wed Apr 26, 04:53 PM
Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said he has not talked with RB Derrick Henry since Henry decided not to report for offseason workouts. Henry is currently taking classes at the University of Alabama.Link to story

Titans | Mike Williams worked out for Titans Wed Apr 26, 10:54 AM
Clemson WR Mike Williams worked out for the Tennessee Titans Thursday, April 20, according to sources.
|Footballguys view: Williams could be one of the Titans two first-round picks, although he is unlikely to fall to #18. He makes sense at #5, or at a pick later if the Titans can trade down, which they seem to be eager to do. Williams might not be the best fit with Marcus Mariota, who is more of a precision passer than a 50/50 ball chucker, but the Titans clearly have a need at wide receiver.|
Titans | Kevin Dodd not at full health Tue Apr 25, 03:10 PM
Tennessee Titans LB Kevin Dodd (foot) is not 100% healthy after undergoing foot surgery last season. Dodd still has pain in his foot and is working daily to recover from the 'delicate' injury, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.Link to story

Titans | Tennessee to meet with Zay Jones Mon Apr 17, 08:53 PM
East Carolina WR Zay Jones is scheduled to meet with the Tennessee Titans Tuesday, April 18, according to a source.
|Footballguys view: The Titans are looking for more weapons in the passing game, and Jones would be a fine selection for them in the second or third round of the 2017 NFL draft. Jones does a good job of working back to the ball, and he's a quarterback's best friend due to his consistency. A high-character player, Jones should make for a solid pro.|
Titans | Marcus Mariota will run soon Mon Apr 17, 03:17 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (leg) hopes to begin running again in two to three weeks. Mariota underwent surgery on his right leg earlier this offseason.
|Footballguys view: The Titans are wisely taking it easy on Mariota as he returns from his broken leg. He can begin running, but we're sure the team won't ask him to do a lot until training camp rolls around.|

Titans | Corey Davis visiting Tennessee Sun Apr 16, 12:51 PM
Western Michigan WR Corey Davis is meeting with the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, April 16 and will remain there through Monday, April 17.
|Footballguys view: Davis can track deep passes well, and he does a good job of using his body to box out smaller defenders. At 6'3" 209 pounds, he works his way back to the ball and has consistent hands and supreme confidence to make difficult catches. The Titans have the 5th and the 18th picks in the first round, and Davis would make sense for their second pick on day one.|
Titans | Tennessee shows interest in Chidobe Awuzie Sat Apr 15, 03:08 PM
Colorado CB Chidobe Awuzie had a private workout with the Tennessee Titans and also had an official visit with the Titans this offseason.Link to story
Titans | Marcus Mariota to be at workouts Thu Apr 13, 08:32 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (leg) will report for the first day of the team's voluntary offseason program Monday, April 17, according to a team spokesperson. Head coach Mike Mularkey said the team will be overly cautious with Mariota, who is expected to return to the field in time for the start of training camp.
|Footballguys view: Yeah we don't expect Mariota to see much hard work this offseason. They may handle him with kid gloves in the preseason too. As long as he is healthy for the start of the regular seas, that's what matters.|

Titans | Mike Williams visiting Titans Tue Apr 11, 09:27 AM
Clemson WR Mike Williams is visiting the Tennessee Titans Tuesday, April 11, according to a source.
|Footballguys view: Williams might be the best receiver in this draft class. His big, has a large wingspan and can make plays above the rim. Williams has some problems with drops, but he's a bad ball receiver who can be a red zone threat.|
Titans | Tennessee works out Charles Harris Wed Apr 5, 04:10 PM
Missouri DE Charles Harris said he worked out for the Tennessee Titans Monday, April 3.
|Footballguys view: Harris is a fine athlete from the edge who can get after the quarterback. Scouts question his base as a run defender, but he does have the lower body build to improve that part of his game. He plays with good energy and continues to play through the echo of the whistle. Harris should be a first- or second-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft.|
Titans | Marshon Lattimore visiting Titans Tue Apr 4, 10:41 AM
Ohio State CB Marshon Lattimore is visiting the Tennessee Titans Tuesday, April 4.
|Footballguys view: Lattimore could be in play at #5. He's a long, athletic corner who might not be as polished or versatile as Gareon Conley, his college teammate who could also go in the first round, but his ceiling is higher.|
Titans | John Ross to meet with Tennessee Mon Apr 3, 06:37 PM
Washington WR John Ross is scheduled to have an official visit with the Tennessee Titans in the near future.
|Footballguys view: Ross is basically a younger version of DeSean Jackson (Buccaneers). He can fly by defenders with his 4.22 speed, and Ross does a good job of tracking passes over his shoulder. He should be a first-round pick, and there's a chance Ross is already off the board when the Bucs select at 19th overall.|

Free-agent CB Demontre Hurst (Bears) signed an undisclosed deal with the Tennessee Titans Monday, April 3.Link to story

Titans | Tennessee works out David Njoku Sat Apr 1, 02:50 PM
Miami (Fla.) TE David Njoku worked out for the Tennessee Titans Saturday, April 1.
|Footballguys view: The Titans already have Delanie Walker at tight end, but adding a talent like Njoku would make a lot of sense. He compares favorably to Greg Olsen (Panthers) and should be available in the middle of the first round where Tennessee has the 18th overall pick.|
Titans | Joshua Dobbs works out for Titans Thu Mar 30, 09:34 AM
Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs worked out for the Tennessee Titans recently, according to a source.
|Footballguys view: Dobbs is a rocket scientist, but that doesn't make him a good pro prospect. Majoring in aerospace engineering, Dobbs was expected to develop more during his time in college at Tennessee. He's an athletic passer who can keep plays alive with his feet while quickly going through his progressions. Dobbs will challenge a defense deep, but poor footwork leads to passes that sail...and get picked off. Nine of his 12 interceptions in 2016 were on passes that went over 10 yards.|
Titans | Marcus Mariota sheds walking boot Tue Mar 28, 01:42 AM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (leg) has shed the walking boot on his surgically repaired right leg and is back home in Hawaii, where he is running on the beach as part of his rehab from a broken fibula that he suffered Dec. 24. He expects to be ready by training camp.Link to story

Titans | O.J. Howard linked to Tennessee Sun Mar 26, 09:29 PM
Alabama TE O.J. Howard said he has a visit scheduled with the Tennessee Titans.
|Footballguys view: The Titans have Delanie Walker as their primary tight end, but adding a talent like Howard would give them two great options at the position. They have the 5th and 18th selections in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft. Howard is considered the best tight end in this "best ever" draft class at the position. Taking him with a top-5 pick wouldn't be outlandish, but it would obviously be better value to land him with the 18th pick.|
Titans | DeAngelo Yancey working out for Tennessee Sun Mar 26, 08:22 PM
Purdue WR DeAngelo Yancey is scheduled to work out for the Tennessee Titans Monday, March 27.
|Footballguys view: The Titans are looking for weapons to develop at the wide receiver position. Yancey is a player teams are likely considering as a late-round pick or priority free agent. He's got deep speed, but it takes him some time to hit that top gear. Yancey does not have the quickness or strength desired to beat press coverage at the line of scrimmage. He's also struggled with drops during his college career.|
