Titans | David Cobb asked to drop weight Mon May 18, 09:45 PM
Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb has been asked by the team to drop some weight but was nor given a specific number. Cobb said he weighs 232 pounds but wants to be around 225 pounds.
|Footballguys view: Cobb needs to lose a bit of bad weight, but he's a big back so 225 sounds about right. He's a powerful runner with natural instincts for running the ball. We like him to win the starting job for the Titans eventually as Bishop Sankey is no answer. Cobb could benefit from fellow rookie Jalston Fowler blasting open holes as the fullback. He's not an ankle-breaker, but Cobb creates his own space as a runner by running guys over and wearing defenders down.|
Titans | Tevin Westbrook signed Mon May 18, 02:45 PM
Undrafted free-agent TE Tevin Westbrook (Florida) signed an undisclosed contract with the Tennessee Titans Monday, May 18.
|Footballguys view: Westbrook caught eight passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns last year for the Gators. He's a big target, measuring in at 6'5" 256 pounds.|
Titans | Lache Seastrunk cut Mon May 18, 02:42 PM
Tennessee Titans RB Lache Seastrunk was released Monday, May 18.
|Footballguys view: Seastrunk is incredibly fast, but he's not a patient or disciplined runner. A 2014 sixth-round pick by Washington, Seastrunk has already bounced around in the pros. He's unlikely to latch on permanently anywhere.|
Titans | Marcus Mariota to work on deal Sun May 17, 01:58 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota is scheduled to begin contract talks with the team Monday, May 18, according to a source.
|Footballguys view: With a rookie salary cap in place, first-round deals rarely hit any snags in the negotiation process. The Titans are happy to have Mariota as their franchise quarterback, and we don't foresee much if any problems getting him signed to his first deal.|
Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham connecting with QB Fri May 15, 09:58 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham said he sent a text to QB Marcus Mariota right after he was drafted and is trying to become close with the quarterback in a hurry. 'I told him, every time you're in the weight room, make sure you bring me,' Green-Beckham said.
|Footballguys view: Great news here. We always take the minicamp news with a grain of salt, but this is the type of thing you like to hear. Green-Beckham has incredible upside, and he could be the steal of the draft if he stays out of trouble and plays up to his potential. Mariota is rough around the edges as a pro passer. While athletic and talented, Mariota could use all the help he could get adjusting to the pro game. We're excited to see what this rookie duo can do...both this year and in the future.|
Titans | Marcus Mariota comfortable under center Fri May 15, 09:14 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota said it was different being under center for the first time during rookie minicamp Friday, May 15, but added that he already feels comfortable in the offense.
|Footballguys view: We'll see it when we believe it. With less than 10 snaps from under center during his college career at Oregon, Mariota has a lot to prove in that area. It's not just the simple act of taking the snap either. Mariota has to prove that he can diagnose a defense, go through his progressions and anticipate pressure all while dropping back. We like his talent, but he has a long way to go before he's a decent starter in this league.|
Titans | Marcus Mariota looking good so far Fri May 15, 07:19 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota survived his first rookie minicamp and impressed the coaches with his understanding of the playbook, according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt. Whisenhunt also doesn't think Mariota's smaller size will create a problem with him taking snaps under center after he participated in a spread offense in his college career. 'I don't see that as a problem,' Whisenhunt said of Mariota lining up under center. 'He's put a lot of work in. He seems pretty good. I mean, until we get into a game and you get the A-gap blitzers in there or people are pressuring, you don't know how they are going to handle it.'
|Footballguys view: Mariota is ticketed to start, and his running ability could give him streaming and DFS appeal if he isn't overwhelmed early in his career.|
Titans | Zach Mettenberger in better shape Fri May 15, 06:45 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger, who plans to put up a fight for the starting quarterback job with QB Marcus Mariota this summer, said the offseason has treated him well, and he's down to 225 pounds. 'Moving a lot quicker, no longer worried about my knee which is a great feeling. But I loved getting a chance to hang out with guys outside of the facility. It was an eye-opening experience to learn what these guys are about,' Mettenberger said.
|Footballguys view: Mettenberger seems to highly competitive, which is good for the Titans. It should push rookie Marcus Mariota even though he has already been anointed by the staff. Mettenberger could increase his trade value, or make the Titans more likely to turn to him if Mariota looks like he is in over his head this summer.|
Titans | Defense will test Marcus Mariota Fri May 15, 12:13 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota will be tested by his defense in training camp as assistant head coach Dick LeBeau is under direction to throw everything at the rookie that he can. All indications are that Mariota will have to fail miserably to lose the starting job in the preseason.
|Footballguys view: Mariota is making a big transition from the Oregon offense to the NFL, but Lebeau has been a master of inventive blitzes and often made some of the most experienced QBs in the NFL look disoriented. Mariota could end up being fantasy relevant this year if the Titans rely on him as a runner, and early word is that they are incorporating some elements of the Oregon offense that did just that.|
Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham lauded by former HC Thu May 14, 06:40 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham has grown up and is ready to take the NFL by storm, according to Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops. 'A lot of times, through different circumstances, young people learn from mistakes, and I felt like he did,' Stoops said. 'There's a maturing process... and I believe Dorial has grown. [He] has so much going for him. I think he is going to have a super career in the NFL.'
|Footballguys view: Well, we'll see what we see. It's easy to say that when he's not your issue anymore and one might say that constant indulgence and overlooking of his issues led him to his many red flags. He's not a safe pick in the first round of rookie drafts, but his upside makes him someone worth looking at in the second. It's too early to tell where he'll fit in for redraft purposes.|
Titans | David Cobb gains tough yards Thu May 14, 06:19 PM
Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb gained 54% of his yardage during the past two seasons after the initial contact, per Cobb's NFL.com draft profile. According to cfbstats.com, Cobb picked up 19 first downs on 31 third down touches last season. Cobb was given the ball 17 times with one-to-three yards to go and picked up 12 first downs.
|Footballguys view: He's a bit of a bowling ball and should be able to get used in short yardage and goal line situations. We still don't know how he'll be used behind Bishop Sankey and Shonn Greene but as neither of those two are monsters, there is room for Cobb to have impact with a solid camp.|
Titans | Jalston Fowler signed Thu May 14, 02:44 PM
Tennessee Titans FB Jalston Fowler signed a contract with the team Thursday, May 14. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Fowler is a nice addition to the offense as a blocker for the backfield. We like what Tennessee did here in adding the bruising fullback to blast open holes for the ground game. He can also be used as a receiver out of the backfield, and Fowler might get some work as a goal-line back.|
Titans | David Cobb signs contract Thu May 14, 02:43 PM
Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb signed a contract with the team Thursday, May 14. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: David Cobb has a good chance to see some serious snaps this year if (when) Bishop Sankey and Shonn Greene look as unremarkable as they have in the past. We love Cobb's ability to wear down a defense as the game goes on. Cobb is a determined runner with a no-nonsense style. There's little nuance to his game, but he's an efficient player who can pick up yards after contact. Expect his ADP to rise during the preseason if he wins the starting job.|
Titans | Tre McBride receives deal Wed May 13, 02:24 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Tre McBride signed a contract with the team Wednesday, May 13. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: McBride has some of the best hands in this draft class. He can make difficult catches seem routine, and his catch radius helps him play bigger than his size (6'0"). McBride can make an impact as a return man or reserve receiver during his rookie year. Savvy dynasty owners should be drooling over his long-term upside.|
Titans | Justin Hunter adding weight Thu May 7, 12:44 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter said he has been working on adding some weight this offseason. Hunter finished this past season at 196 pounds but is currently 206 pounds and wants to be at 210 pounds by the start of training camp.
|Footballguys view: Hunter can't afford to lose speed this year with Dorial Green-Beckham in his rear-view mirror, though Green-Beckham has a lot of off-field concerns. Hunter is likely to drop to the WR3/4 spot behind Green-Beckham as long as the rookie stays out of trouble. We're not sold that happens, so buyer beware.|
Justin Hunter player page
Titans | Justin Hunter expects to fight for job Thu May 7, 12:31 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter is expected to compete with WR Dorial Green-Beckham for one of the starting receiver jobs during training camp.
|Footballguys view: From a talent standpoint, Green-Beckham is far more talented than Hunter, but that won't matter if he's not on the field. In college Green-Beckham was in trouble quite a bit and it led him to bounce around from Missouri to Oklahoma before turning pro. We'll see if the rookie can stay out of trouble now that he's in the NFL. The Titans should have a run-heavy offense, so don't expect rookie QB Marcus Mariota to make Green-Beckham or Hunter fantasy relevant in re-draft leagues.|

Titans | Shonn Greene not with team Wed May 6, 12:12 PM
Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene is not participating in offseason workouts because of a family issue.
|Footballguys view: Not a big deal here. Greene is expected to participate in the mandatory minicamp in June. With rookies Jalston Fowler (fullback) and David Cobb (running back), we should see the Titans have a power ground game to help out young QB Marcus Mariota.|
Shonn Greene player page
Titans | Zach Mettenberger to fight for job Tue May 5, 01:56 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger, who is now the backup quarterback to QB Marcus Mariota, did not demand a trade and is adamant about going to training camp with a chance to compete against Mariota for the starting job, according to OT Taylor Lewan. Mettenberger took part in the team's voluntary workout program last Friday and Monday, May 4. Mettenberger was 0-6 in his starts last year as a rookie and threw for 1,412 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. Lewan also said Mettenberger lost around 15 pounds this offseason and looks leaner and stronger.
|Footballguys view: Mettenberger just isn't the answer. He's a decent backup in the NFL...think of a poor man's version of Derek Anderson and that's the player Mettenberger is. Mariota is the starter, and we don't see a way Mettenberger can change that.|
Titans | TEN offense tailored to Marcus Mariota Tue May 5, 01:34 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota is having the playbook tailored to him after the Titans drafted him with the No. 2 overall pick last week, according to general manager Ruston Webster. 'Our coaches have been working on a plan for quite some time now for Marcus,' Webster said. 'Really to adapting our offense to his skill set -- he has a special skill set. There's really not much he can't do from a physical standpoint and he's very bright. That combination is going to allow him to do his own adapting to the NFL game but our coaches have worked very hard on coming up with a system within our system for Marcus. I think it will work well.'
|Footballguys view: Good news for the young quarterback here. The offense needs to be crafted in order to keep things simple as Mariota learns a pro-style system. Coming from the Oregon offense, Mariota will have to learn things like taking a snap, going through progressions while dropping back and making stick throws into tight coverage. There will be a learning curve, but we like Mariota's work ethic and are intrigued by his future.|
Titans | Philip Rivers never in serious play Sat May 2, 04:29 AM
San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers was never targeted by the Tennessee Titans, as the Chargers made clear they weren't dealing Rivers from the start.
|Footballguys view: It always seemed like the smoke came from Rivers' camp and had more to do with contract maneuvering than anything else. Rivers will be there whether 'there' is Los Angeles or San Diego. With the addition of Melvin Gordon to keep defenses from pinning their ears back and attacking Rivers, this is a very potent offense and one fantasy owners might invest heavily in.|

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham goes to Titans Fri May 1, 07:51 PM
Missouri WR Dorial Green-Beckham was selected 40th overall by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft Friday, May 1.
|Footballguys view: Well, apparently the Titans didn't learn anything from Kenny Britt. Green-Beckham is a phenomenal talent, but is a train wreck off the field. He'll give Marcus Mariota a great weapon to throw to, assuming he can stay out of trouble. We're dubious about that.|
Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham could be option Fri May 1, 06:57 PM
Oklahoma WR Dorial Green-Beckham could be an option for the Tennessee Titans with the 33rd overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
|Footballguys view: It didn't pan out, as it shouldn't have. He's got first round talent, but also far too much baggage. He could slip into the third, though probably not further.|
Titans | Randy Gregory on draft board Fri May 1, 02:58 PM
Nebraska DE/LB Randy Gregory is still on the Tennessee Titans' draft board. The Titans currently hold the 33rd overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
|Footballguys view: Now is the time where his first round talent overshadows his issues off the field. There are some teams with serious questions about him but the Titans have been fielding calls for the pick, could Gregory be the target?|
Titans | Zach Mettenberger wants to compete Fri May 1, 02:20 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger is not looking for a trade but does want the chance to compete with QB Marcus Mariota for the starting quarterback job, according to his agent.
|Footballguys view: Mettenberger knows he's stuck in Tennessee as they don't intend to trade him, so he's putting on a brave face. Mariota won't be sitting unless he is a real mess in training camp, but Mettenberger could make himself attractive to another team down the road with hard work and the right attitude.|
Titans | Tennessee plans to start Marcus Mariota Thu Apr 30, 09:52 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota is the planned starter from Day 1, head coach Ken Whisenhunt said Thursday, April 30.
|Footballguys view: As expected, though there was a chance they let him sit. It could be a rough year, but his mobility will help him behind that offensive line. He's not a top ten rookie draft option and isn't much of an option in redraft but he could become one in a few years. His upside is huge.|
Titans | Zach Mettenberger may want trade Thu Apr 30, 08:32 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger's agent would like Mettenberger to be traded since the team selected QB Marcus Mariota in the 2015 NFL Draft.
|Footballguys view: The Titans probably won't trade him because Mariota is a raw prospect in many ways. Mettenberger should continue to develop behind Mariota and could get his shot somewhere else but the Titans need him to hedge their bets.|
Titans | Marcus Mariota not likely to be traded Thu Apr 30, 08:29 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota is not expected to be traded after being selected with the No. 2 overall pick.
|Footballguys view: There's no reason to think he would be, though we all wanted Chip Kelly to get him and so people will try to force that to happen in their minds. Maybe the Titans and Eagles just ran out of time but more likely the Titans are just happy to get a talented quarterback like Mariota.|
Titans | Marcus Mariota selected second overall Thu Apr 30, 08:19 PM
Oregon QB Marcus Mariota was selected second overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2015 NFL Draft Thursday, April 30.
|Footballguys view: Mariota could sit on the bench a little behind Mettenberger, but more likely he starts immediately. Mariota has a good arm, tremendous mobility and a lot of upside. Now he needs some more weapons around him.|
Titans | TEN receiving interest in No. 2 pick Thu Apr 30, 01:43 PM
Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster said he has talked with three or four teams about the possibility of trading the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Webster said there is no trade imminent at this point but would want a trade in place before the draft if the team decides to move the pick.
|Footballguys view: Reports also say Tennessee is trying to get a lot for the pick, so they may not be able to move. The Jets are a team trying to trade up, but GM Mike Maccagnan likes to trade back for more picks rather than up for a particular player. Tennessee may end up picking at No. 2 in which case - are they interested in Marcus Mariota?|
Titans | Zach Mettenberger won't be traded Wed Apr 29, 04:04 AM
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger won't be traded even if they draft a quarterback in the first round, according to general manager Ruston Webster.
|Footballguys view: Mettenberger seems to be more highly regarded by the Titans than any other team in the league, so it wouldn't make much sense to trade him in any scenario.|
Titans | Kendall Wright option picked up Wed Apr 29, 03:37 AM
Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright had his fifth-year option officially picked up Tuesday, April 28.
|Footballguys view: The 7.3 million dollar price tag is only guaranteed this year by an injury that costs Wright his 2016. Still, by starting WR standards that is not too hefty for one year. Wright hasn't quite earned that kind of compensation, and if the Titans do happen to take a wide receiver in the first round (either at #2 or via a trade down), Wright's status could get shakier. The money does not become guaranteed for a healthy Wright until the first day of the league year in 2016, so he could be released before then if he disappoints this year.|
Kendall Wright player page
Titans | Not expected to take Leonard Williams Mon Apr 27, 01:28 PM
Southern California DE Leonard Williams is not expected to be selected by the Tennessee Titans if he is available with the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, in the opinion on Jim Wyatt, of the Tennessean.
|Footballguys view: Williams is arguably the best player in this draft class, regardless of position. He's smart, powerful and a disruptive player who can create interior pressure or stuff the run. Any team that adds him is going to be happy to have him.|
Titans | Hakeem Nicks joining Titans Fri Apr 24, 01:32 PM
Free-agent WR Hakeem Nicks (Colts) agreed to terms on an undisclosed deal with the Tennessee Titans Friday, April 24.
|Footballguys view: Nicks continues trying to string along his career. He didn't find success with Andrew Luck and it's unlikely he will be stepping his game up with Zach Mettenberger or some rookie. Even if the Titans are able to trade for Philip Rivers, Nicks is unlikely to be fantasy relevant.|
Hakeem Nicks player page
Titans | Kendall Wright staying another year? Thu Apr 23, 04:10 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright's fifth-year option is expected to be picked up by the team this offseason.
|Footballguys view: As the Titans struggled on offense, Wright's numbers dipped in 2014. We'll see if they can figure out their quarterback problem and start featuring a better passing game. There are rumors swirling they may add Philip Rivers (Chargers) via trade. If that happens, then Wright could put up career-best numbers in 2015. If Zach Mettenberger is their starting quarterback, expect Wright's numbers to stay low.|

Titans | Byron Bell agrees to terms Wed Apr 22, 04:19 PM
Free-agent OT Byron Bell (Panthers) has agreed to an undisclosed deal Wednesday, April 22.Link to story
Titans | Jameis Winston in play for Titans Tue Apr 21, 12:19 PM
Florida State QB Jameis Winston would be 'in play' for the Tennessee Titans at No. 2 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass on him with the first overall selection, according to a source. The Titans feel Winston 'checks out' after they've done extensive homework on the prospect, and Tennessee feels the pending lawsuit against Winston wouldn't impact their decision to select him. Winston made a great impression when he met with the team April 13.
|Footballguys view: That's all nice and well, but we don't think Winston is on the board when the Titans pick at 2nd overall. Winston is likely to be the top pick in the draft to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Yes, QB Marcus Mariota (Oregon) has been getting a ton of buzz lately but we're not buying the hype. Winston is a better passer and projects to be a much better pro quarterback. Off the field, Mariota is squeaky clean but on the field he has a ton of work to do.|
Titans | Zach Mettenberger receives praise Mon Apr 20, 05:38 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger was applauded by TE Delanie Walker for recently organizing practice sessions. Walker said he's excited about Mettenberger showing leadership and initiative, adding that Mettenberger could be the franchise quarterback the Titans need.
|Footballguys view: Mettenberger is no franchise quarterback. He's got a big arm, but accuracy has always been an issue for him. It was in college at both Georgia and LSU, and those same major problems plagued him last year as a rookie. We think the Titans make a move for a quarterback either in the draft or by trading their second-overall pick.|
Titans | Kaelin Burnett re-signs Mon Apr 20, 04:55 PM
Tennesee Titans LB Kaelin Burnett re-signed to a one-year deal Monday, April 20. Financial terms were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: The Titans signed Burnett off the Arizona Cardinals practice squad last November. He played in five games for Tennessee and had three special teams stops. He'll play in a similar role this season.|
Titans | No offer to Stevie Brown Mon Apr 20, 07:07 AM
Free-agent FS Stevie Brown (Giants) has not received a contract offer from the Tennessee Titans, but the team remains interested in him.
|Footballguys view: Brown wants to prove he can bounce back after a disappointing season in 2014. He tore his ACL in 2013, but Brown was a good starter for the Giants in 2012..and he wants to get back to that level of play.|
Stevie Brown player page
Titans | Zach Mettenberger leading workouts Fri Apr 17, 02:41 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger has organized workouts with some of his teammates in Nashville this offseason.
|Footballguys view: At this time, Mettenberger is the lead quarterback for the Titans. That's awful for their chances this year, so don't be surprised if they make a trade to acquire a quarterback like Philip Rivers in the near future. The Chargers may want to move up and draft Marcus Mariota.|
Titans | Phillip Dorsett visiting Tennessee Thu Apr 16, 10:28 AM
Miami (Fla.) WR Phillip Dorsett is visiting the Tennessee Titans Thursday, April 16.
|Footballguys view: Phillip Dorsett has averaged more than 25 yards per catch since 2012 and can burn teams inside and out. Tennessee needs to keep building the offense for Zach Mettenberger, Philip Rivers or whomever ends up under center.|
Titans | Vic Beasley visits Thu Apr 16, 02:53 AM
Clemson LB Vic Beasley made a visit to the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday, April 15.
|Footballguys view: Beasley is considered one of the best edge-rushers in this draft class. He's a bend-and-burst rusher who can get around tackles on the outside. Beasley does a good job of closing on the ball-carrier quickly, and he should be a top-10 pick in the 2015 NFL draft.|
Titans | Philip Rivers to have new home? Wed Apr 15, 12:05 AM
San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers is under contract for one more season, and he has expressed a desire to play out his deal. However, the Chargers might be interested in trading up to draft University of Oregon QB Marcus Mariota with the No. 2 pick currently held by the Tennessee Titans.
|Footballguys view: Tennessee head coach Ken Whisenhunt was the Chargers offensive coordinator in 2013, and offensive coordinator Jason Michael was on the San Diego staff, too.|
Philip Rivers player page
Titans | Hakeem Nicks visiting Titans Mon Apr 13, 04:57 PM
Free-agent WR Hakeem Nicks (Colts) is visiting the Tennessee Titans Monday, April 13.
|Footballguys view: Nicks insists that he can still play, but the film shows otherwise. He's lost more than a step, and Nicks is no longer the threat after the catch he used to be.|
Hakeem Nicks player page
Titans | Byron Bell visiting Tennessee Mon Apr 13, 10:20 AM
Free-agent OT Byron Bell (Panthers) is visiting the Tennessee Titans Monday, April 13.
|Footballguys view: The Titans are looking for help at the tackle position after letting Michael Oher go earlier this year. Bell played both tackle spots for the Panthers, but he's better suited to play on the right side of the line.|
Titans | Zach Mettenberger the next Tom Brady? Sun Apr 12, 10:03 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Zach Mettenberger is viewed as the steal of the 2014 NFL Draft by head coach Ken Whisenhunt and general manager Ruston Webster, and they view him as a poor man's version of New England Patriots QB Tom Brady.
|Footballguys view: LOL, ROTFL and all that. Give us a break, Mettenberger is more likely to be the next Derek Anderson than he is the next Tom Brady. It's pathetic to even mention the two in the same sentence. Mettenberger has a rocket arm, but he's got little control and bad accuracy. Not exactly a Brady-like skill set right there. Keep dreaming Tennessee, we'll never see another Tom Brady again.|
Titans | Marcus Mariota to visit Titans Thu Apr 9, 07:58 PM
Oregon QB Marcus Mariota will visit the Tennessee Titans Thursday, April 9. Mariota has already worked out for Tennessee privately.
|Footballguys view: Mariota is in play for Tennessee, but he doesn't appear to be a great fit with Ken Whisenhunt on first glance in terms of playing style and strengths. It appears that Mariota's destination will be a mystery with many possibilities right up until the moment he is chosen.|
Titans | Jameis Winston to work out for Titans Thu Apr 9, 07:56 PM
Florida State QB Jameis Winston will have a private workout with the Tennessee Titans Monday, April 13. The Titans have the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Most analysts think Winston will go first overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
|Footballguys view: Winston going to Tampa at #1 isn't quite a foregone conclusion, but it's reasonable to assume it's going to happen. The Titans should do their due diligence if only to understand Winston a little better if they ever have to face him.|
Titans | Breshad Perriman meeting with TEN Wed Apr 8, 01:14 PM
Central Florida WR Breshad Perriman is scheduled to meet with the Tennessee Titans before the 2015 NFL Draft, according to sources.
|Footballguys view: At 6'2" 215 pounds, Perriman is more explosive than other receivers his size. He can get off the line of scrimmage quickly and cleanly, and Perriman does a good job maintaining his speed out of the break. He's raw as a route-runner, but his physical skill set make him an intriguing option for teams in the late first or early second round. The Titans have Harry Douglas as their WR3 behind Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter at this time. Perriman could be added as a deep, big-play threat and reserve receiver during his rookie season.|
Titans | Amari Cooper to visit Tennessee Wed Apr 8, 12:03 PM
Alabama WR Amari Cooper will visit the Tennessee Titans next week.
|Footballguys view: Cooper is our favorite wide receiver in this draft class. He's an outstanding route-runner who plays with the savvy of a 10-year veteran. Cooper has soft hands, and he can make difficult catches seem routine. He should be a top-10 pick in the 2015 NFL draft.|
