Footballguys view: Pierre-Paul wants a long-term deal, but the two sides may not be able to come to an agreement before free agency opens up. Putting the tag on JPP would give the team until July 15th to sign him to a longer contract. The franchise tag for a defensive end is expected to be about $17 million in 2017.

NFL | Hype building for Myles Garrett    Sat Feb 18, 10:24 PM

Footballguys view: Garrett should be the biggest standout player at the combine. At 6'4" 268, Garrett is a freak athlete who can move like a much smaller man. Garrett can wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks with multiple pass-rushing moves and burst to the passer. He should be the no.1 pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

Browns | Myles Garrett clears the air    Sun Feb 12, 07:30 PM

Footballguys view: Garrett may have been joking, but there's likely some truth to what he was saying. The Cowboys could use a devastating pass rusher like Garrett, but they're sitting all the way back in the first round with the 28th overall pick. Garrett is the best player in this draft class, and he's virtually a lock to be the first selection. That's a pick the Browns currently own.

Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Joe Woods said a lack of depth at the defensive tackle position hurt the run defense in 2016, and beat writer Cameron Wolfe believes Arizona Cardinals DT Calais Campbell would be a good fit if Campbell hits free agency.

Footballguys view: Campbell is hitting the open market for what will be his third contract. He turns 31-years old when the season begins, but Campbell still has plenty left in the tank. A Colorado native, Campbell would be a welcome addition to the vicious Broncos defense. Campbell would start opposite Derek Wolfe and help strengthen the rush defense.
