Michigan State CB Darqueze Dennard visited with the Cincinnati Bengals Monday, April 14, and Tuesday, April 15, according to a source.

Footballguys view: The Bengals are looking for a young corner to groom as an eventual starter. Dennard can consistently re-route wide receivers when playing press. He's a physical player who will fight for contested passes. Dennard should be a first-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

Broncos | Kayvon Webster moving up depth chart    Mon Apr 14, 11:44 PM

Denver Broncos CB Kayvon Webster is currently slotted as the team's third cornerback, and he could even see a bigger role if CB Chris X. Harris (knee) isn't quite ready.

Footballguys view: Webster is not ready for that larger role. When forced into more playing time last year he struggled late in the season as a rookie. The Broncos top pick in the draft should be a cornerback.

Verrett has the speed to fit in the back pocket of receivers as they move downfield. He's an option for the Bengals in the first round. The Bengals need a young corner to develop, and Verrett has starter's upside.

Michigan State CB Darqueze Dennard said he has declined an invitation to attend the 2014 NFL Draft.

Footballguys view: Dennard's draft stock has fallen a bit, but he could still be a late first-round pick. Other cornerbacks like Bradley Roby (Ohio State) are possibly jumping ahead of Dennard in the draft because they are faster. He can effectively re-route receivers at the line of scrimmage, and Dennard is an instinctive player who is always around the ball.

Michigan State CB Darqueze Dennard said he had a private workout with the Detroit Lions last month and that the workout went well. Defensive coordinator Teyrl Austin was part of the workout.

Footballguys view: Dennard's draft stock may be falling just a bit, but the Michigan State prospect could be an option for the Lions in the first round at 10th overall. He's an instinctive player who puts up a fight at the point of the catch. Dennard is not one of the faster corners in this draft, and that may be hurting his draft stock.
