Eagles | Matthew Tucker placed on IR    Tue Jul 28, 05:45 PM

Philadelphia Eagles RB Matthew Tucker (undisclosed) was placed on Reserve/Injured Tuesday, July 28.

Eagles | Matthew Tucker waived    Mon Jul 27, 04:57 PM

Philadelphia Eagles RB Matthew Tucker (undisclosed) was waived from the Non-Football Injury list Monday, July 27.

Footballguys view: Heading into his third NFL season, Tucker was facing a tough battle to make the final roster after the Eagles added incredible talent to the running back position this offseason. The nature and cause of this injury are unclear, but with the NFI designation it did not come on the team's watch.

Eagles | Sam Bradford to be tagged?    Fri Jul 24, 05:41 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford could either be franchise tagged or transition tagged if he has a successful season and the Eagles don't want to give him a long-term contract. If Bradford were transition tagged, he would be able to sign with other teams, but the Eagles would have the option to match their offers.

Footballguys view: Why in the world would a team make a high-priced investment in Bradford? He's got to prove that he can stay healthy and start playing up to his potential in the pros. If (big if) that happens this season, then perhaps the Eagles would consider investing in him for the future.

Eagles | Sam Bradford plans to play at camp    Wed Jul 22, 03:30 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is expected to be ready to participate once training camp begins. Bradford has been rehabilitating his knee after suffering a second anterior cruciate ligament tear in as many years.

Footballguys view: Bradford may be ready, but the team would be wise to ease him back after two ACL injuries. Mark Sanchez could get plenty of first-team reps for the Eagles while Bradford is eased into action.

Eagles | Sam Bradford plans to play out deal    Mon Jul 20, 07:30 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford plans to play out the final year of his contract and will not sign a contract extension at this point.

Footballguys view: Bradford's contract is one we won't see in the NFL ever again. His rookie deal (with $50 million guaranteed) was put in place before the rookie salary cap. Now, rookie quarterbacks end up with much less guaranteed money. Bradford may end up retiring if he can't stay healthy this year. Multiple knee injuries have derailed his time in the NFL. He's got a $12.9 million cap number this year and is hoping that a fresh start with the Eagles may jump-start his career.

Eagles | Mark Sanchez holding workouts    Fri Jul 10, 12:40 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez is hosting workouts in San Diego with teammates. RB Darren Sproles, RB Ryan Mathews, WR Jordan Matthews, QB Matt Barkley, QB/WR G.J. Kinne, WR Quron Pratt, WR Rasheed Bailey, WR Seyi Ajirotutu and TE Andrew Gleichert were in attendance.

Footballguys view: More important than Sanchez creating extra chemistry with his teammates, this is also Sanchez acting more like a leader and a starter. We'll see if Chip Kelly honors the principle of open competition, especially if Bradford gets an extension before camp opens. Jordan Matthews is picking up right where he left off with respect to his on-field relationship with Sanchez, which means we'll need to upgrade him if Sanchez somehow ends up the starter.

Eagles | DeMarco Murray solid in passing game    Wed Jul 8, 05:01 PM

Philadelphia Eagles RB DeMarco Murray was one of two running backs with at least 40 targets last season that caught 89% of those targets. He caught 57 of his 64 targets. The other running back was Oakland Raiders RB Roy Helu.

Footballguys view: Murray might not be used as much in the passing game in Philadelphia. Darren Sproles will soak up the majority of the receiving attempts out of the backfield. This was a problem for LeSean McCoy's value last year and combines with overuse worries from last year to keep Murray in the late first or early second.

Eagles | Nelson Agholor has No. 1 potential    Tue Jul 7, 04:09 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor is expected to thrive for Philadelphia in his rookie season, according to an anonymous NFL executive. 'He'll come in and produce right away. He has the right mentality and just a great approach to the game,' the source said. 'He's going to help them. And in that offense, he'll put up numbers.'

Footballguys view: Agholor seems to have the inside track to replace Jeremy Maclin in the downfield outside receiver role that Maclin and DeSean Jackson turned into low WR1 numbers in 2013 and 2014. He could easily outproduce Jordan Matthews, who looks like he'll be relegated mostly to slot duty at this moment. Agholor is going at least two rounds after Matthews, so he might be the best Eagles WR to target in early drafts.

Eagles | Josh Huff having good offseason    Tue Jul 7, 03:49 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff performed well during organized team activities and minicamp this offseason.

Footballguys view: Huff is in the mix with Miles Austin to steal snaps from Riley Cooper on the outside and help first-round pick Nelson Agholor replace the snaps and targets vacated by Jeremy Maclin. Huff can line up in the slot and backfield, too, so he could contribute enough to matter in fantasy leagues if he becomes one of the primary outside receivers. He was coached by Chip Kelly at Oregon, so keep Huff on your waiver wire speed dial if he doesn't generate a ton of hype during the preseason.

Eagles | Chip Kelly good for Sam Bradford?    Mon Jul 6, 04:29 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford may have his best opportunity yet in Philadelphia under head coach Chip Kelly, according to an anonymous NFL executive. 'If Bradford had gone anywhere else you wouldn't even be talking about him,' the source said. The executive added that there's hope with Kelly and the Eagles after Bradford's struggles with injuries the past couple years. 'Chip Kelly is the one guy who can make Bradford a success.'

Footballguys view: The bottom line here isn't that Kelly is good for Bradford, it's that Kelly is good for QBs period. The exec also said that teammate Mark Sanchez has had "higher highs" than Bradford and "you know what you're getting with Sanchez", so don't construe this as an endorsement of Bradford.

Eagles | Zach Ertz to see more snaps    Tue Jun 30, 12:29 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz is expected to see a sizable jump in snaps this season.

Footballguys view: This is something all fantasy owners need to monitor. Tight end talent is thin, but Ertz could be a solid TE1 for you this season. He's coming off the board at TE7 (7.10) in 12-team PPR leagues at this time. He could outperform that draft position if his snaps increase dramatically.

Eagles | Sam Bradford to be ready for training camp?    Mon Jun 29, 05:16 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is expected to be in the final phase of his rehabilitation from a torn anterior cruciate ligament once training camp begins. Bradford's second ACL tear in as many seasons will require more time to recover and the Eagles may not have a grasp on how ready he is to play before the regular season begins.

Footballguys view: The Bradford/Foles trade was more than a bit odd. First, they have to pay around $11 million more for Bradford. Second, Bradford isn't healthy (kind of a big deal). Finally, there's a question about his remaining commitment to the game after he reportedly considered retirement after yet another knee injury. Bradford is accurate on short-to-intermediate routes, but his lack of durability has crushed his pro career. We're not certain things all of a sudden turn around now that he's in Philly.

Eagles | Nelson Agholor learning offense    Fri Jun 26, 04:41 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor said he worked as an outside receiver during offseason workouts but is learning the other receiver spots as well since the team uses different formations. 'I play right side outside, right now, but I'm continuing to learn conceptually the whole deal, because that is how we work here. It's by formation and different people will be in different formations. And that's how we sugar coat what we do...That's just the game of football nowadays. It's about window dressing some of your staple concepts and that's what we'll do,' Agholor said.

Footballguys view: Agholor has the ability and opportunity to be an impact player in 2015. The rookie from USC is dangerous when running routes over the middle. He can gain separation before his break, and Agholor can pull away from defenders after the catch. Fantasy owners should consider him a WR3 with WR1 upside this season. His current ADP is WR32 (7.03) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Eagles | John Moffitt to sign with Philadelphia    Thu Jun 25, 09:36 PM

Free-agent OG John Moffitt will sign with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Ross Jones of FOX Sports.

Footballguys view: Climbing out of the bunker and back into the NFL, Moffitt hasn't played meaningful snaps in the NFL since 2012. He's a mauler up front, but he's going to be on the roster bubble from day one. Moffitt has experience, but his rust makes him a longshot for the 53-man roster.

Eagles | Tebow to make the final roster?    Sun Jun 21, 08:43 PM

Eliot Shorr-Parks, from NJ.com, believes that quarterback Tim Tebow is going to make the 53-man roster for the Eagles. It's Tebow's experience as a starter, scrambling ability and lack of turnovers that would give him the edge over Matt Barkley according to the Eagles beat writer.

Footballguys view: We could see Tebow making the squad, and fantasy owners need to realize that he's not THAT far away from the starting job--mainly because Sam Bradford is such an injury risk. If Bradford is too banged up to play and Mark Sanchez struggles as the starter, then Tebow might actually get another shot at starting in the NFL. Yes, his passes will be ugly and you can time his throwing motion with a sun dial....but remember when he was starting for the Broncos he was a top-10 fantasy QB and an every week starter because of his scrambling ability. Stay tuned.

Eagles | Miles Austin impressing head coach    Sat Jun 20, 02:49 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Miles Austin has impressed head coach Chip Kelly this offseason. Kelly praised Austin's route-running, separation and his understanding of leverage and coverage. Kelly added that Austin has good range, is intelligent and catches the ball well.

Footballguys view: We're not shocked by this news given Austin's veteran savvy as a player. Austin is likely to make the Eagles final roster as the 4th or 5th receiver on the depth chart.

Eagles | Darren Sproles working as WR    Fri Jun 19, 09:26 PM

Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles has worked with the wide receivers as much as the running backs during the offseason as part of a plan by head coach Chip Kelly to have him more involved in the offense.

Footballguys view: Whatever it takes. Sproles can work well as a runner and receiver out of the backfield...but he has to be used in space. As a receiver, Sproles can get open because his foot frequency and quickness after the break.

Eagles | Zach Ertz ready to take next step?    Fri Jun 19, 09:15 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz has spent the offseason traveling around the country to improve as a blocker and a receiver, head coach Chip Kelly said Thursday, June 18, and RB Darren Sproles said Ertz is 'about to be a superstar.'

Footballguys view: Tight end talent is rather thin around the NFL. This is why fantasy owners need to keep Ertz in mind during their draft. He's currently coming off the board at TE8 (8.03) in 12-team PPR leagues. If healthy, the role is there for Ertz to perhaps finish the season as a top-5 fantasy tight end.

Eagles | Josh Huff showing flashes in minicamp    Thu Jun 18, 09:28 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Josh Huff has shown flashes of improvements in his route running and his downfield catching ability, this spring, but consistency remains an issue. Huff has already been outplayed by rookie Nelson Agholor, who is his biggest threat for playing time in 2015. 'I'm a competitor, but I don't really pay attention to that,' Huff said. 'They brought him in because he does things really well, and I do things really well, Jordan [does] things really well, Coop [does] things really well. Whatever can help our team get over that hump, then I'm all for it. But I'm going to do everything I can to better my technique,' said Huff.

Footballguys view: Huff is a player who gets by on moxie and determination. Agholor is a player with a refined skill set and the natural ability to be one of the best in the game at his position. That difference has already been made clear in minicamp and OTAs. We're excited about Agholor's upside this season, and Huff isn't likely to be much of a fantasy factor in 2015 unless someone gets hurt above him on the depth chart.

Eagles | Sam Bradford in talks on deal     Wed Jun 17, 06:52 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has been in preliminary contract talks with the Eagles, but no real progress has been made. Bradford is due $12.985 million this year.

Footballguys view: Bradford is scheduled to cost the Eagles about $11 million more than Nick Foles would have. He's not even fully healthy yet as he recovers from yet another knee injury. Bradford could be a decent starter in this system because he's an accurate quarterback on intermediate routes. However, we can't trust that he'll be able to stay healthy for a full season.

Eagles | Sam Bradford limited    Tue Jun 16, 11:17 AM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) will continue to see action in 7-on-7 drills but will not participate in 11-on-11 drills.

Footballguys view: Bradford is trying to come back from yet another knee injury. Head coach Chip Kelly said he's hopeful Bradford will be ready for 11-on-11's in training camp.

Eagles | Zach Ertz building rapport with QB    Mon Jun 15, 04:00 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz has developed chemistry with QB Sam Bradford this offseason. The Bradford to Ertz connection has supposedly been commonplace at organized team activities. Ertz is excited for what Bradford can bring to the offense. 'I think we will get back to some of the deep plays,' Ertz said. 'I'll do anything I can to get open.' Ertz added that Bradford has a strong, accurate arm and can put the ball up high where Ertz is able to go up and catch it.

Footballguys view: Ertz is a big part of the Eagles passing game as the tight end can often get open with ease on a "Texas" route in Chip Kelly's system. After the zone-read option to the running back, the tight end is usually the first receiving option the quarterback has. It's important to build chemistry with Bradford--and Mark Sanchez. Bradford is still recovering from another knee injury, and his status for the start of the regular season is unknown at this time.

Eagles | Jared Wheeler expected to sign    Sat Jun 13, 06:33 PM

Free-agent C Jared Wheeler will visit the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, June 15. Wheeler was released by the Seattle Seahawks after the draft, and he is now expected to sign with the Eagles.

Footballguys view: Wheeler, and undrafted free agent out of the University of Miami in 2014, has bounced around to a few different teams during his brief time in the NFL. He's largely a developmental player who might be able to make the Eagles practice squad. Wheeler was coached for his first two years with the Hurricanes by Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland.

Eagles | Evan Mathis cut    Thu Jun 11, 03:54 PM

Philadelphia Eagles G Evan Mathis was released Thursday, June 11.

Footballguys view: Footballguys' own Matt Bitonte said after the move, "The Eagles drop from 1 to 5. Still elite but not the best." It shouldn't be all that big a hit for the Eagles, nor will it harm DeMarco Murray or Sam Bradford's value. We expect Mathis to be on the street for about 15 minutes before a team scoops him up, by the way and he will boost whatever interior line he signs with. Look for more from Bitonte on this and other offensive line situations in the coming days.

Eagles | Sam Bradford progressing    Wed Jun 10, 03:35 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is progressing well in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Bradford has been practicing more and has looked more mobile while doing so, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Bradford said that he's not sure if he'll be at 100% by the time training camp starts, however.

Footballguys view: Take note of that last sentence. The Eagles added this guy (and are paying him way more than Nick Foles was set to make) with the idea that he would be the starter. Bradford's career has been knocked off track by injuries so much that he was actually considering retirement. We love the way Chip Kelly will take chances, but we're not confident about Bradford's ability to stay healthy. Let's see if the veteran QB can be ready by the start of training camp.

Eagles | Nelson Agholor impressing    Wed Jun 10, 03:26 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor has shown off his speed, athleticism and route-running so far in organized team activities, and seems to be acclimating quickly to the professional level, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Footballguys view: Agholor can be the answer at WR1 for the Eagles since Jeremy Maclin is now suiting up for the Chiefs. The rookie from USC has a fearless nature when running routes over the middle. He can make defenders miss after the catch and does a good job of gaining separation at the stem of the route. His current ADP is WR33 (7.07) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Eagles | Sam Bradford looks hobbled    Wed Jun 10, 01:07 AM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) appeared to still be hobbled during organized team activities Tuesday, June 9, and he worked with a large brace on his leg while doing limited activity on the field.

Footballguys view: There's no guarantee that Bradford will be at 100 percent by the time training camp--or the regular season--gets here. We could see Mark Sanchez win the starting job by default if Bradford can't compete at a high level due to this injury.

Eagles | Mark Sanchez ready for QB battle    Wed Jun 10, 01:06 AM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez said Tuesday, June 9, he is looking at the quarterback battle as an open competition. He has already worked with many of the young receivers and tight ends before, in games. "We're all going to individually compete," Sanchez said, "and the best guy is going to play."

Footballguys view: It's not really going to be a battle if Sam Bradford (knee) isn't healthy. Sanchez looks much more comfortable in this offense according to reports. We'll see if he can carry that over to training camp and possibly the starting job.

Eagles | DeMarco Murray in a timeshare?    Thu Jun 4, 02:11 AM

Philadelphia Eagles RB DeMarco Murray is expected to have the rushing workload divided between he and RB Ryan Mathews, offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur said Wednesday, June 3. The OC would not reveal what the percentage of carries would be for either back.

Footballguys view: Before anyone freaks out, consider that sharing the backfield doesn't mean a 50/50 split. If Murray performs at the level he did last year, head coach Chip Kelly won't pull him from a game just to give Mathews a couple of series. That said, Kelly likes to switch up formations, so not grabbing Murray as a high first rounder is a safe way to go, because he is unlikely to get the number of carries he did last season.

Eagles | Ryan Mathews to split carries?    Thu Jun 4, 02:10 AM

Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews is expected to be used in a timeshare with RB DeMarco Murray, offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur revealed Wednesday, June 3. Shurmur would not reveal what the percentage split for carries would be, however.

Footballguys view: 'Split' is a loaded word. It makes everyone nervous, but ultimately could mean Mathews gets 10 percent of the carries--the term doesn't promise a 50/50 share. If Murray plays well, Mathews will still see some time, but not a ton. Even though Kelly will change formations and personnel, he won't bench a productive Murray 'just because.' Mathews is running an ADP of 9.08 right now, which puts him in the range of a solid handcuff for Murray owners or a bye week Hail Mary for someone with room on their bench.

Eagles | Philly impressed by Kenjon Barner    Thu Jun 4, 02:09 AM

The Philadelphia Eagles have liked what they have seen by RB Kenjon Barner during organized team activities (OTAs).

Footballguys view: He's going to have a very hard time catching on with DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles all in front of him. Barner has had a hard time catching on anywhere permanently due to his height and size.

Eagles | QBs overthrew Zach Ertz often in 2014    Wed Jun 3, 01:20 PM

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz was overthrown 18.0% of the time when he has targeted by the quarterback in 2014, which was the second highest number among tight ends.

Footballguys view: We'll see if Ertz can get better targets this year. The Eagles traded for Sam Bradford earlier this year, but there's no guarantee he's even going to be healthy enough to start in Week 1 of the regular season. Mark Sanchez may end up getting the most snaps at QB for the Eagles in 2015. Ertz is coming off the board at TE8 (8.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Eagles | Sam Bradford improving at OTAs    Tue Jun 2, 02:08 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is participating in competitive drills as he and QB Mark Sanchez share first-team repetitions during organized team activities Tuesday, June 2. Bradford is rehabilitating from a torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered last season.

Footballguys view: This is good news for Bradford, but it still doesn't give us any clues about whether or not he'll be ready for Week 1 of the regular season. Bradford has an injury history that reads like Infinite Jest, so even if he's healthy enough to start it would be nearly miraculous if he stayed healthy for the entire season. We're expecting Sanchez to get some starts this year.

Philadelphia Eagles LB Kiko Alonso (knee) practiced without a knee brace during OTAs, and while he admitted to being a little rusty, he said he was surprised by how much he has been able to do as he returns from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Footballguys view: It's good to know that Alonso is on the right track. However, we expect the team to monitor him closely as he continues to recovery. There's no need to aggravate an injury in June during OTAs. The plan is to have Alonso available for the start of the regular season.

Eagles | Mark Sanchez wants to start    Sat May 30, 01:27 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez is acting like he's the starter this offseason, despite the acquisition of QB Sam Bradford from the St. Louis Rams. 'That's the only way I know how to play,' Sanchez said. 'Everybody wants to be the starter and I'm no different.' Sanchez added that he's feeling better this offseason than he's ever felt, referring to his surgically repaired shoulder, and said he can only get better.

Footballguys view: Good! For too long, Sanchez was the Stuart Smalley of the NFL (because gosh darn it, people like him). We like seeing him with a better level of confidence. There's no guarantee that Bradford will even be healthy for Week 1 of the regular season as he continues to recover from (another) knee injury.

Eagles | More targets for Darren Sproles?    Sat May 30, 08:37 AM

Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles practiced with the first-, second-, and third-team offenses during team and seven-on-seven drills Thursday, May 28. He also has the opportunity to be featured more in the passing game, according to head coach Chip Kelly.

Footballguys view: His career high in catches came in 2011 when he caught 86 passes for the Saints. He may not approach that number this season, but Sproles could haul in more than the 40 catches he had last year. His current ADP is RB42 (9.06) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Eagles | Sam Bradford not close to full health    Fri May 29, 08:58 AM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) doesn't appear close to 100% health, but he could still make it back in time to start Week 1. Head coach Chip Kelly insists Bradford is on schedule.

Footballguys view: There's a reason why Bradford may have been considering retirement. Earlier this month Bradford practiced one week only to sit out practice the next. He said it wasn't a setback and that they just wanted to push his knee to see how it responded. Not practicing suggests that it didn't respond well.

Eagles | Sam Bradford no lock to start    Thu May 28, 11:47 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is on schedule with his rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, but head coach Chip Kelly said Thursday, May 28, that the starting quarterback job is an open competition.

Footballguys view: Even if Bradford wins the job, he might struggle to stay healthy (again). Bradford has good accuracy and can make the quick decisions required in this system. We'll see if he can start practicing in training camp and show better than Mark Sanchez as the season draws closer.

Philadelphia Eagles LB DeMeco Ryans (Achilles') practiced Thursday, May 28, although not in a full capacity. Ryans ruptured his Achilles' tendon seven months ago.

Footballguys view: The Eagles defense is getting healthier and could be really effective as we move forward. Ryan had a 110 plus tackle year in 2013, so it's not inconceivable he could replicate it this year. Overall this defense looks very promising.

Eagles | Sam Bradford throwing, 7-on-7 next week    Thu May 28, 12:42 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) is throwing on the side in individual drills Thursday, May 28, according to Eagles head coach Chip Kelly. Kelly said Bradford will begin 7-on-7 drills next week.

Footballguys view: Hopefully, Bradford will be ready for 100 percent participation when training camp hits. There are some great weapons for him to use with Jordan Matthews and rookie Nelson Algholor, as well as a star-studded backfield in DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews to keep defenders from teeing off on him. Bradford has rarely been healthy for a whole year though, and so both the Eagles and fantasy owners have to be prepared just in case. It's that concern which has him tracking at an ADP of 11.03 right now, which qualifies him as barely a QB2. The Eagles offense has a ton of upside, but history has us leery of Bradford because he's never healthy.

Eagles | Kiko Alonso a full participant    Thu May 28, 12:41 PM

Philadelphia Eagles LB Kiko Alonso (knee) was a full participant in organized team activities Thursday, May 28, according to Eagles head coach Chip Kelly.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford (knee) has not been participating in team drills during organized team activities this week, according to sources. Bradford has been limited throughout the offseason.

Eagles | Nelson Agholor could succeed right away    Tue May 26, 06:13 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor has the route-running ability, athleticism, work ethic, versatility, speed and technique to be a big weapon for the Eagles in his rookie season, according to CBS Sports' Rob Rang.

Footballguys view: With Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) moving on in free agency, the Eagles could turn to Agholor as their top wideout. He's a precise route-runner who knows how to set up defenders and get open. Agholor does a good job of tracking passes over his shoulder, and he'll quickly snatch a pass out of the air so he can get to running after the catch in a hurry. His current ADP of WR48 (10.07) in 12-team PPR leagues makes him a huge value pick.

Eagles | Nelson Agholor poised to shine?    Mon May 25, 10:45 AM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor possesses the speed, agility, route-running skills and big-play ability to make him an immediate contributor as a rookie, in the opinion of CBSSports.com's Rob Rang. Agholor played in a pro-style offense at the University of Southern California and can line up all over the field. Rang also cites Philadelphia's strong running game as being a positive for Agholor.

Footballguys view: The rookie from USC has the potential to become a dangerous weapon in the pros. He knows how to find the soft spots in a zone, and his speed greatly helps his run-after-the-catch ability. With Jeremy Maclin (Chiefs) moving on in free agency, Agholor is arguably the best player to take over as the team's WR1. Second-year pro Jordan Matthews is talented, but his Eric Decker-like skill set might be best used as a WR2/complementary player.

Eagles | Mark Sanchez could be best option for PHI    Sat May 16, 07:26 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez could be the team's best bet for a starting quarterback. Sanchez went 4-4 after taking over as the starter last season, and finished the campaign with a career best 64.1 completion percentage. Sanchez has played all but one game during his six-year career, showing health that's lacked by the Eagles' other options.

Footballguys view: Sanchez is a decent starter in this offense, and he may prove to be a better (healthier) option than Sam Bradford. We like Bradford's accuracy and anticipation as a passer, but his pro career has been plagued by numerous severe injuries. We'll see how this shakes out in training camp. The Eagles starting quarterback is fantasy relevant, but at varying levels depending on who wins the job.

Eagles | Sam Bradford perfect for Philadelphia?    Thu May 14, 10:34 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is a perfect fit for Chip Kelly's offense because he can make all the throws with a 'top-notch' arm, is a 'better athlete than people think' and operates best out of a no-huddle attack, according to New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

Footballguys view: Bradford definitely has the mental acumen, quick setup/release, and short-range accuracy to run the Eagles pass offense well. The bigger question is how he'll look after a long layoff from football that reportedly included a deliberation about retirement. The Eagles offense under Chip Kelly has routinely gotten QB1 numbers out of worse talents, so health is the key to Bradford's value this year. He could end up being one of the best late round QB picks of fantasy drafts and has a very easy start to his career.

Eagles | Riley Cooper may not start in 2015    Mon May 11, 02:22 AM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper may not have a starting job this season with the drafting of WR Nelson Agholor.

Footballguys view: We like Agholor as a starter from day one, and he's a player fantasy owners need to be monitoring closely. The rookie is much more naturally talented than Cooper, and his quickness/speed combination should make him a dangerous weapon for the offense. Agholor's current ADP is WR51 (11.09), and it could rise as we get closer to the start of the regular season.

  Eagles | Rookie Agholor a WR1?    Sat May 9, 06:35 PM

Jeff McLane, from the Philadelphia Enquirer, speculates we could see Eagles first-round pick Nelson Agholor as the team's number one wide receiver. The thought is the rookie will take the place of Jeremy Maclin in the offense. Agholor is used to working in an up-tempo system from his 2014 season at USC. "Last year, we kind of went into more of an up-tempo, no-huddle offense with Steve Sarkisian," Agholor said.

Footballguys view: Eagles head coach Chip Kelly described Agholor as an "inside, outside" guy. That means the team is going to move him around the formation to find the best matchup. We like Jordan Matthews, but he's more of an Eric Decker-like player who best fits as a WR2. Agholor's current ADP is WR51 (11.09) while Matthews ADP is WR18 (4.05). Monitor this situation during camp and the preseason.
