Footballguys view: Mitchell is a big-bodied run-stuffer who can work as a two-down player when healthy. His time with the Dolphins was seen as a disappointment, especially last season, but the 49ers must believe he can be an impact player for them in 2017 and beyond.

However, multiple sources report the Redskins expect to meet with the representatives of their impending free agents at the NFL Scouting Combine next week.

Footballguys view: We think out of those players listed, only Davis will return to Washington. Baker, Jackson and Garcon might quickly get out of Washington's price range.

Assistant coach Michael Clay will serve as strength and conditioning coach.
