Chiefs | Tyreek Hill has decent game    Sun Dec 4, 05:41 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill caught five passes for 53 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13. He also rushed for 19 yards on two carries during the game.

Footballguys view: Hill was still adequate in PPR leagues despite both offensive touchdowns going to Spencer Ware. He has moved into weekly upside WR3/Flex territory and could stay there against Oakland next week even if Jeremy Maclin is back.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce surpasses 100-yard mark    Sun Dec 4, 05:37 PM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce caught eight passes for 140 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.

Footballguys view: Kelce got open downfield with ease and Alex Smith was on point when targeting him. Kelce had his third straight 100-yard day heading into a good matchup with Oakland, while Lance Kendricks and the Rams try to take advantage of the Falcons' problems covering tight ends.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson finds end zone    Sun Dec 4, 05:36 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown on one carry against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13. He also caught four passes for 48 yards during the game.

Footballguys view: Wilson's touchdown came on a fake punt when he ran untouched to the end zone. He's on the fringe of fantasy relevance as long as Jeremy Maclin is out.

Chiefs | Spencer Ware accounts for two TDs    Sun Dec 4, 05:25 PM

Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware rushed for 29 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13. He also caught three passes for 23 yards and one touchdown during the game.

Footballguys view: Ware never really got on track as a runner in this game, but he was able to finish two drives fueled by long Travis Kelce receptions. He'll be a solid RB2 against Oakland next week.

Chiefs | Jeremy Maclin downgraded to out    Sat Dec 3, 01:06 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) was downgraded from questionable to out Saturday, Dec. 3.

Footballguys view: It looked like Maclin could return this week, but that's not the case. Without Maclin, the team should continue to throw to Tyreek Hill as much as possible. They'll need explosive playmakers to make plays in what could be catch-up football against a high-powered Falcons offense on Sunday.

Chiefs | Jeremy Maclin listed as questionable    Fri Dec 2, 03:47 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) was limited all week in practice and is questionable for Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Footballguys view: Maclin could return this week, but he's a risky play after a layoff of almost a month. Tyreek Hill is the most valuable wide receiver on the Chiefs in fantasy leagues.

Chiefs | Limited practice for Jeremy Maclin    Wed Nov 30, 06:40 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Footballguys view: Maclin has missed a few weeks with this groin injury. It seems like he could return in Week 13 as the Chiefs travel to play a high-powered Falcons team.

Chiefs | Charcandrick West getting healthy    Mon Nov 28, 02:08 PM

Kansas City Chiefs RB Charcandrick West played 33-of-85 snaps in Week 12 against the Denver Broncos and is getting more playing time lately 'because he's simply been feeling better' after dealing with ankle and concussion issues this season, according to head coach Andy Reid.

Footballguys view: The Chiefs have designs on making a postseason run. Having West healthy would help boost an offense that needs playmakers. They'll use him more as a change-of-pace back behind starter Spencer Ware when at full strength.

Chiefs | Marcus Peters questionable for Week 12    Fri Nov 25, 04:35 PM

Kansas City Chiefs CB Marcus Peters (hip) was limited in practice all week and has been listed as questionable for Week 12 against the Denver Broncos.

Footballguys view: Peters should make a return against the Broncos dynamic wide receiver duo of Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. He's a strong IDP play against an inexperienced starting quarterback.

Chiefs | Jeremy Maclin sidelined    Wed Nov 23, 06:06 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Footballguys view: Maclin has missed a couple of games, and he might miss the game against the Broncos on Sunday night. The Broncos are one of the best in the league against the pass, and CB Aqib Talib should return to the field this week. Even if Maclin plays, we're not counting on the Chiefs receivers to do much.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce busy in Sunday's loss    Sun Nov 20, 10:20 PM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce posted seven receptions for a game-high 108 yards in the Week 11 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was targeted nine times, most on his team.

Footballguys view: Kelce is talented enough to put up numbers like this every week if he gets the opportunity. Next week against Denver, the quality Broncos corners should give Alex Smith a lot of incentive to target Kelce frequently.

Chiefs | Tyreek Hill totals five touches    Sun Nov 20, 10:20 PM

Chiefs | Alex Smith accounts for two TDs    Sun Nov 20, 10:18 PM

Kansas City Chiefs QB Alex Smith completed 24 of his 31 pass attempts for 261 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Week 11 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also rushed twice for 10 yards and a score.

Footballguys view: Smith was efficient, but his end zone interception was a killer on a day that the Chiefs weren't putting together many scoring drives. The rushing touchdown made this a high water mark, but Smith is likely to be near his floor at Denver next week.

The Kansas City Chiefs have declared QB Tyler Bray, DL Jaye Howard, WR Jeremy Maclin, LB Dadi Nicolas, OL Mike Person, CB Marcus Peters, RB Bishop Sankey inactive for Week 11.

Footballguys view: Peters is out so upgrade Jameis Winston and Mike Evans, but overall they will still have a tall order on the road against the Chiefs tough front seven.

Chiefs | Marcus Peters will attempt to play    Sun Nov 20, 10:01 AM

Chiefs | Justin Houston to make 2016 debut    Sun Nov 20, 01:25 AM

Kansas City Chiefs LB Justin Houston (knee) will be active in the team's Week 11 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Footballguys view: Jameis Winston will have all he can handle with Houston back on the field and a hostile Arrowhead crowd. At least Marcus Peters is banged up, so the Chiefs best cornerback won't be himself, that is if he does play. The Chiefs D/ST is an excellent play today with or without Peters.

Chiefs | Friday injury report for Chiefs    Fri Nov 18, 08:20 PM

Kansas City Chiefs DE Jaye Howard (hip) is listed as doubtful for Week 11. CB Phillip Gaines (neck), LB Justin Houston (knee), LB Derrick Johnson (hamstring), CB Marcus Peters (hip), DT Dontari Poe (knee) and LS James Winchester (non-injury) are listed as questionable. Howard, Peters, Poe and Winchester did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 18. Gaines, Houston and Johnson were limited during practice. LB Tamba Hali (knee) was limited during practice but is not on the injury report. LB D.J. Alexander (neck) and CB D.J. White (hand) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Footballguys view: Peters hasn't practiced this week, so he's got to be on the doubtful side of questionable. Mike Evans' matchup will be upgraded if Peters can't go.

Chiefs | Jeremy Maclin ruled out    Fri Nov 18, 08:09 PM

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) has been ruled out for Week 11.

Footballguys view: Maclin will miss a good matchup against the Bucs this week. He wasn't exactly lighting up the box score before his injury, so Maclin is not an essential hold in short bench leagues. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce could see an uptick in targets with Maclin out.

Chiefs | Jeremy Maclin misses another practice    Fri Nov 18, 01:36 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 18.

Footballguys view: Maclin is almost certainly out this week. Tyreek Hill becomes a decent WR3/Flex option in the good matchup against Tampa, and Travis Kelce could see more targets this week.

Chiefs | Second scope good for Jamaal Charles    Thu Nov 17, 04:51 PM

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) could return to the field this season thanks to his second knee scope. A return in late December or in the playoffs is still possible. Without the second scope, Charles would not have been able to return at all this season.

Footballguys view: This is Spencer Ware'sjob now so we don't know what role Charles would have if he returned. Is this the end of Charles in Kansas City? A storyline for the off season.

Chiefs | Jeremy Maclin to miss another practice    Thu Nov 17, 01:27 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) will not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 17.

Chiefs | Jamaal Charles undergoes surgery    Thu Nov 17, 01:14 PM

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Monday, Nov. 14.

Footballguys view: There was some hope that Charles could return for the playoffs, but this surgery might have dashed those. The Chiefs will move forward with Spencer Ware as their lead back and Charcandrick West as his primary backup.
