Bell ran 12 times for 57 yards and caught eight passes for 88 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 7 win over the Houston Texans Monday, Oct. 20.

Footballguys view: Bell is arguably the best back in football right now. He's swift, runs with power and is a fantastic receiver out of the backfield. Fantasy owners can trust him as a RB1 each week.

Steelers | Big Ben likes facing Cleveland    Sat Oct 11, 12:38 AM

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger threw for 365 yards with a touchdown in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns, the team's Week 6 opponent. Over his past eight starts against the Browns, Roethlisberger has thrown two or more touchdown passes. However, in 19 career starts, he has eclipsed 281 yards just twice.

Footballguys view: We expect touchdowns, but as the article points out, Roethlisberger's yard total might be lower than we'd like. If you get 6 points for QB touchdowns, we feel confident he'll be a solid QB1 start. If it's just 4 points, drop him down a tad, to a borderline QB1/QB2 start. Still a very good option.

Steelers | Antonio Brown to come up big again?    Sat Oct 11, 12:38 AM

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown will face the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. He punished he Browns for 116 yards on five receptions with a touchdown in Week 1, and he has 87 or more receiving yards in five of his past six games against Cleveland, scoring four times in those six outings.

Footballguys view: We're expecting big numbers from Brown this week, and have him pegged as one of the top fantasy receivers for Week 6. 100+ yards and a touchdown are a likely outcome against the Browns.

Steelers | Heath Miller to break TD drought?    Fri Oct 10, 11:57 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller posted three receptions for 26 yards in the Week 1 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, the team's Week 6 opponent. Miller hasn't scored a touchdown against the Browns in six games dating back to Week 17 of the 2010 season.

Footballguys view: Miller is a yardage hog but this year isn't giving us touchdowns. If you start him - and we see him as a decent TE2 without the touchdowns - just expect to accrue yards and take any touchdown as a bonus.

Steelers | Friday injury report    Fri Oct 10, 02:20 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers LB Ryan Shazier (knee), CB Ike Taylor (forearm) and FS Shamarko Thomas (hamstring) have been ruled out for Week 6. Shazier was limited during practice, while Keisel, Mitchell and Polamalu fully participated in practice.

Footballguys view: Thomas being out could get fourth-round WR Martavis Bryant up for the Browns game. He reportedly has been practicing well.

Steelers | Heath Miller fully participates    Thu Oct 9, 05:43 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (non-injury related) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 9.

Footballguys view: Miller is a favorite target of Ben Roethlisberger's, and we think the veteran is worth starting as a low-end TE1 in Week 6 against the Browns.

Steelers | Le'Veon Bell to see more carries?    Thu Oct 9, 01:08 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell wasn't the focus of the offensive in the Week 5 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. QB Ben Roethlisberger threw nine passes, was sacked twice and didn't hand the ball off once in the red zone in the game. Bell ran for 82 yards on 15 carries in the game, and he has 460 yards this year. "I feel like a lot of runners in the NFL: the more they get the ball, the more they get into a rhythm," Bell said. "The better (rhythm) I get, the game kind of slows down for you. You get into kind of a zone, as people will say.' Bell is poised to see more carries against the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. The Browns are 29th in rush defense and are allowing 152.5 rushing yards per game. Bell hinted the team won't be so one-dimensional in the red zone against the Browns.

Footballguys view: We'd feel even more confident if it was head coach Mike Tomlin hinting about it, but Bell owners should feel good anyway. We have him as a top 5 fantasy running back this week against the aforementioned terrible Browns run defense.

Steelers | Justin Brown ahead of Lance Moore    Thu Oct 9, 12:03 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Justin Brown is higher on the depth chart than WR Lance Moore, because the team believes Brown is a better receiver than Moore.

Footballguys view: Well, having someone ahead of someone else on a depth chart is often an indication that the former is better at the position than the latter, but that's just us. In other obvious news. neither Brown nor Moore is worth having in your lineup. Dynasty owners, take note of Brown's ascension here.

Steelers | Le'Veon Bell sets team record    Mon Oct 6, 01:56 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell has recorded 688 yards from scrimmage in his first five games, which sets a franchise record. Bell is also the first player in team history to record 100 yards from scrimmage in his first five games of a season. Bell rushed for 82 yards and caught five passes for 36 yards in Week 5.

Footballguys view: If we were to redo the fantasy drafts from this year, Bell could certainly be a candidate for number one overall. Set it and forget it with Bell in your lineup each week.

Steelers | Ben Roethlisberger disappointed    Mon Oct 6, 01:40 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger said he was unhappy with his play in Week 5 even though he went 26-for-36 for 273 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions. 'I was a little disappointed in the way I played,' Roethlisberger said. 'I want to say the line played a lot better than what the stats are going to say. That's a good defensive front. They got after it. I know there are going to be some stats on sacks, but the line played a lot better than it will be written. A lot of those are on me.'

Steelers | Heath Miller takes part in practice    Thu Oct 2, 04:30 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Heath Miller (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 2.

Footballguys view: Miller is one of those guys who puts up decent numbers every year and yet gets ignored nine times out of ten by fantasy owners. Miller could have a really big week and we have him rated as a TE1 play, which given you probably got him late in your draft if not on the waiver wire, is tremendous value.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton does some drills    Thu Oct 2, 04:21 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton (groin) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 2.

Footballguys view: Wheaton has been on the fringe since the start of the season and with Antonio Brown playing well, it's only a matter of time before the single coverage comes and the big game with it. We look for a solid WR3 performance this week and wait for Wheaton to have his moment. He's a nice "what the heck" flex against the Jaguars in Week 5.

Steelers | Ben Roethlisberger limited    Thu Oct 2, 04:21 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (non-injury) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 2.

Steelers | Ben Roethlisberger reaches milestone    Mon Sep 29, 12:40 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger became only the 12th quarterback in NFL history to pass 35,000 career passing yards. He went 29-for-40 for 314 yards and three touchdowns in the Week 4 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Footballguys view: Too bad the milestone came in a loss. After crushing the Panthers, many Steelers fans worried the team would play down to their competition. It comes as no surprise that Tampa Bay was able to come out on top in Week 4.
