Footballguys view: We would be shocked if he wasn't sore after a game against the Ravens.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Lance Moore (groin) practiced in full Tuesday, Sept. 16, and the team will keep tabs on how he responds this week, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

Footballguys view: The passing game has been just fine without Moore. He has missed the first two regular season games, and his return isn't going to make much of a difference.

Steelers | Le'Veon Bell piles up yards    Fri Sep 12, 12:30 AM

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell tallied 107 total yards in the team's Week 2 game Thursday, Sept. 11, rushing 11 times for 59 yards and catching five passes for 48 yards.

Footballguys view: This is what an elite fantasy RB1 does - gets over 100 total yards when his team trails for the whole game and the offense barely gets the engine to turn over. He is a must-start every week, first-round caliber fantasy force.

Footballguys view: No surprise here. It's a short week as the Steelers face the Ravens on Thursday night. Start Roethlisberger, Bell and Brown with confidence. We like Wheaton as a WR3 with upside, and Miller is a decent option at TE in Week 2.

Steelers | Lance Moore ruled out    Wed Sep 10, 04:23 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Lance Moore (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 10, and has been ruled out for Week 2.

Footballguys view: Keep an eye out on Markus Wheaton here. He's emerging as the WR2 opposite Antonio Brown. Wheaton was clutch for the Steelers in Week 1, and he's certainly earned the trust of QB Ben Roethlisberger.

Steelers | Dri Archer to miss Week 2    Wed Sep 10, 04:22 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Dri Archer (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 10, and has been ruled out for Week 2.

Footballguys view: We'll have to wait in order to see the exciting rookie playmaker on the field for the Steelers. Even with his big-play ability, the fantasy value for Archer is low.

Steelers | Markus Wheaton earning trust    Tue Sep 9, 09:05 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton had six catches for 97 yards in Week 1, including a 20-yard catch late in the game that set up the game-winning field goal. QB Ben Roethlisberger said he didn't consider it a gamble to look for Wheaton in the crucial situation.

Footballguys view: Message! This reminds us of how Antonio Brown first burst onto the scene in the NFL. Wheaton, like Brown years ago, is earning the trust of his quarterback with clutch catches. It shouldn't be a surprise. Wheaton had great hands and was known as a sharp route-runner coming out of Oregon State.

Steelers | Antonio Brown has solid game    Mon Sep 8, 01:11 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown finished with five catches for 116 yards and a touchdown in the season-opening win over the Cleveland Browns Sunday, Sept. 7. He also drew a 15-yard penalty for unnecessary roughness for kicking Browns PK Spencer Lanning. Brown could face a fine from the league.

Footballguys view: The math is pretty simple here. Ben Roethlisberger is running the offense the way he wants to, and Brown is his favorite receiver. Brown is a must-start for fantasy owners each week.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have declared CB Brice McCain, OG Chris Hubbard, DT Daniel McCullers, WR Lance Moore, QB Landry Jones, WR Martavis Bryant, OG Wesley Johnson inactive for Week 1.

Footballguys view: Moore and Bryant being out will help second-year WR Justin Brown get his foot in the door with a good game as the #3 wide receiver. Heath Miller should also be an even better play against the Browns.

Steelers | Dri Archer eager to show off    Fri Sep 5, 08:06 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Dri Archer has already developed a reputation as being a jack-of-all-trades throughout the organization. The rookie is eager to show what he can do in his regular season debut in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. 'The more you can do, the more chance you'll be on the field,' Archer this week. 'That's what I bring to the table is a lot of versatility.'

Steelers | Lance Moore won't play    Fri Sep 5, 04:31 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Lance Moore (groin) did not practice Friday, Sept. 5, and has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. It'll open up snaps for WRs Justin Brown and/or Martavis Bryant (shoulder), but Bryant is unlikely to play because of a shoulder ailment. That means Brown and WR Darrius Heyward-Bey will likely be used alongside WRs Antonio Brown and Markus Wheaton. Browns CB Joe Haden is likely to lock on to Brown for the majority of the game, meaning the other receivers could see good opportunities to make an impact.

Footballguys view: Deep dynasty leaguers should note the performance of Brown, who is one of the bigger wide receivers on the roster.

Steelers | Big role for Le'Veon Bell?    Tue Sep 2, 10:11 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell will not have his role reduced much this season, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. When asked if he could see Bell getting 20 to 25 touches a game this season, Tomlin said, 'I think we drafted him with that in mind.'

Footballguys view: Great news for fantasy owners here. Bell is unlikely to get suspended this year for his recent arrest for marijuana possession. The trouble with the law has dropped Bell's ADP ever so slightly over in recent drafts. His current ADP is RB14 (3.06) in 12-team PPR leagues. If healthy, Bell could easily finish as a top-10 fantasy RB in 2014.

Updating previous reports, Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant (shoulder) suffered a relatively minor separated shoulder in the preseason game Thursday, Aug. 28. He hopes to practice next week after taking a few days off.

Footballguys view: Good news for the Steelers here. We're intrigued by the rookie in dynasty leagues. He'll have limited value in redraft leagues this year unless injuries strike on the depth chart above him.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant injured    Fri Aug 29, 08:35 AM

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant (shoulder) suffered a sprained right AC joint in his shoulder in the final preseason game Thursday, Aug. 28.

Footballguys view: We like the rookie in dynasty leagues, but he has little value in redraft leagues. Bryant is a big receiver who can swiftly track the ball down the field. He could be the big target that QB Ben Roethlisberger has been missing since they heyday with Plaxico Burress.
