Cowboys | Dez Bryant bluffing?    Sat Jul 4, 10:05 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant has threatened to miss games if he does not receive a long-term deal, but the Cowboys are not budging on their original offers because they believe Bryant is bluffing.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant deal coming soon?    Sat Jul 4, 02:39 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant impending long-term deal may be announced after the July 4 weekend, according to Mike Fisher of CBS Dallas-Fort Worth. The comfort level in the negotiation process has supposedly increased of late. Both sides have until Wednesday, July 15, to agree on a long-term deal.

Footballguys view: Deadlines spur action. Either way bet on Bryant to be ready to play and signed on the dotted line for at least one year come Week 1.

Cowboys | No progress in Dez Bryant talks    Fri Jul 3, 12:43 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant has had no progress in contract talks with the team, according to sources. The Cowboys are not budging off their offer of a long-term deal with $20 million guaranteed initially and more guarantees later. The team believes Bryant is bluffing about missing a game or two in a holdout. The team also believes Bryant has financial issues and needs the money, according to the sources.

Footballguys view: Bryant is at the peak of his career and the Cowboys might not want to pay peak price for the years at the end of any new contract that would come after his prime. Bryant might be best off playing for the franchise tag this year and forcing the Cowboys to pay more for the right to use it as a bargaining chip again next year instead of taking the best deal he can get now.

Cowboys | Concerns with Darren McFadden?    Thu Jul 2, 10:54 PM

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden has topped 155 carries just twice in his seven years in the league, and he has averaged less than 3.5 yards per carry in each of the last three seasons.

Footballguys view: It's not impossible that McFadden hits in the Cowboys backfield, but it feels that way. Joseph Randle has been rocketing up boards, and the fantasy world is just starting to wake up to the potential of Lance Dunbar as the receiving back in Dallas. McFadden hasn't done enough to inspire confidence, but the Cowboys offensive line quality means we should monitor him even if we can't stomach spending a draft pick on him.

Cowboys | Rolando McClain suspended    Thu Jul 2, 03:01 PM

Dallas Cowboys LB Rolando McClain has been suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league's policy and program for substances of abuse.

Footballguys view: McClain's career had seemingly ended in disappointment after a 2013 retirement, but 2014 saw a revival in Dallas, and McClain was set to come back and start again this year. The Cowboys could give free agent signing Jasper Brinkley a shot inside, or move Sean Lee or Anthony Hitchens into McClain's spot for the first four games of the season.

Cowboys | Lance Dunbar to have receiving role?    Tue Jun 30, 04:36 PM

Dallas Cowboys RB Lance Dunbar is expected to have the biggest impact of any of the running backs in the passing game, according to Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News.

Footballguys view: We'll have to see how this Cowboys backfield shakes out, but we think Dunbar is third in the pecking order. Joseph Randle should win the starting job with Darren McFadden playing as a backup. Even if he's the top receiving back in Dallas, we're projecting Dunbar to get about 25-30 catches in 2015.

Cowboys | No lead candidate at RB in Dallas?    Tue Jun 30, 04:07 PM

Dallas Cowboys RBs Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar are still battling each other for the starting running back position, according to running backs coach Gary Brown. 'I can't say who is going to be the lead dog right now, but those guys are going to compete and we're going to do what's necessary to win games,' Brown said.

Footballguys view: Brown was a pretty good running back for a brief time during his NFL career, and now he's in charge of one of the best rushing attacks in the league. No matter who is the starter, they'll be fantasy relevant behind that monstrous offensive line. We feel Randle ends up as the guy who comes out on top in this battle in training camp.

Cowboys | Chris Boyd released from IR    Mon Jun 29, 05:29 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Chris Boyd (undisclosed) was released from the Reserve/Injured list with an injury settlement Monday, June 29.

Footballguys view: Boyd could draw some interest on the open market if he's healthy. Undrafted out of Vanderbilt a year ago, Boyd is 6'4" 210 pounds and knows how to use his size to his advantage on the field. As a true freshman and sophomore, Boyd compiled 81 catches for 1,247 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns at Vandy.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden healthy, happy where he is    Mon Jun 29, 02:12 PM

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden said he's excited to be with the Cowboys and feels like he's a rookie again. McFadden also said the injured hamstring that caused him to miss time this offseason is feeling great.

Footballguys view: McFadden should be happy where he is because of that monstrous offensive line in front of him. He's competing for the starting job with Joseph Randle in training camp. If McFadden stays healthy (always an issue), then he'll be able to put up a good fight for that job.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant's agent meets with 'Boys    Sat Jun 27, 04:25 PM

The agent for Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant met face-to-face with the team for the first time in nearly four months, per sources. Bryant hasn't yet signed his $12.823 million franchise tender, and he has a deadline of July 15 to agree to a long-term deal. After that date Bryant will need to play out the season under the tender and the two sides could discuss an extension after the season.

Footballguys view: Deals get done at deadlines in the NFL. We're about a couple of weeks away from the mid-July deadline for franchise-tagged players to agree to new long-term deals. We'll have a better feeling about Bryant (and Demaryius Thomas) when the deadline is a few days away.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant sheds positive light on opener    Thu Jun 25, 02:41 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant was present for a Sunday Night Football photo shoot for Week 1 Tuesday, June 23.

Footballguys view: While Bryant may not get the long-term contract he wants, we could see him playing this season on his one-year $12.8 million franchise tender. If he does end up holding out, it may not go past a week or two of training camp.

Cowboys | Joseph Randle the clear leader    Tue Jun 23, 09:54 AM

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle appears to be the clear leader at running back, and it's his job to lose in training camp.

Footballguys view: An important note for fantasy owners here. Randle has decent speed and the ability to make defenders miss in space. He should have plenty of space to run with the monstrous Cowboys offensive line in front of him. Randle's current ADP is RB22 (4.10) in 12-team PPR leagues. If he's the featured back for the entire season, Randle could easily outperform that ADP.

Cowboys | Ryan Williams not a fit in Big D?    Mon Jun 22, 11:30 PM

Dallas Cowboys RB Ryan Williams is unlikely to make the 53-man roster projected by beat writer Todd Archer. The team's running backs would be RBs Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden, Lance Dunbar and FB Tyler Clutts.

Footballguys view: It's not that Williams isn't a fit--it's that he can't stay healthy. Williams looked like he could be a superstar coming out of Virginia Tech a few years ago, but injuries have derailed his pro career. Williams has been limited by a swollen knee this offseason.

Cowboys | Ryan Williams on the outside looking in?    Mon Jun 22, 09:19 PM

Todd Archer, from ESPN.com, believes that Dallas Cowboys running back Ryan Williams won't make the final roster. Williams was limited in the spring because of a swollen knee, and that doesn't help his cause.

Footballguys view: Williams was a fantastic running back in college at Virginia Tech, but that seems like a lifetime ago. We feel his NFL career will read "what might have been" as these injuries have kept him from doing much of anything as a pro.

Cowboys | Terrance Williams injured    Thu Jun 18, 04:26 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (elbow) suffered a bruised left elbow during practice Thursday, June 18, but X-rays were negative, according to a source.

Footballguys view: With Dez Bryant's contract situation up in the air, Williams has been working as the team's WR1 out at Valley Ranch. Williams tweeted after this injury that he's okay, and nothing is serious. Fantasy owners should consider him a WR5 with upside.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant arrives    Thu Jun 18, 11:42 AM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant arrived for the final day of minicamp Thursday, June 18.

Footballguys view: This is going to go on for a while, but won't be a real concern until we are partway through training camp. Not so much because Bryant needs the reps, but the history of players holding out who skip all of training camp and get hurt. If they figure a way out of this mess, Bryant remains a WR1. If he skips camp, he's still a WR1, but with some risk.

Cowboys | Owner expects Dez Bryant to play Week 1    Wed Jun 17, 06:07 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is expected to play Week 1 with or without a long-term contract, according to owner Jerry Jones. Jones said he knows how competitive Bryant is and how much he wants to support his teammates. Jones even believes Bryant will be with the team for training camp in late July. Bryant has until July 15 to sign a long-term deal.

Footballguys view: What else is Jones supposed to say? The two sides have until July 15th to work out a new long-term contract. In the meantime, there seems to be no movement in contract negotiations. Deals get one at deadlines in the NFL. Let's get to mid-July before the speculation begins about Bryant holding out of training camp...let along holding out into the regular season.

Cowboys | Rolando McClain attending minicamp    Wed Jun 17, 02:55 PM

Dallas Cowboys LB Rolando McClain (knee) is attending the team's minicamp this week but is not expected to participate in any of the drills.

Footballguys view: The veteran linebacker sat out voluntary OTAs earlier this year as he recovered from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. The plan is to have him eased back at some point during training camp.

Cowboys | J.J. Wilcox out with injury    Wed Jun 17, 12:16 PM

Dallas Cowboys FS J.J. Wilcox (foot) is not participating in practice Wednesday, June 17, because of a foot injury.

Footballguys view: The team hopes Wilcox will be ready for the start of training camp. Jeff Heath will get more opportunity with Wilcox banged up. There's also a chance that 2015 27th-overall pick CB Byron Jones (UCONN) will get some looks at free safety as he can roam the field and make plays on the ball.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden practices    Wed Jun 17, 10:22 AM

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) practiced in full Tuesday, June 16. 'I'm 100% and ready to go play ball,' McFadden said. 'It felt great. We were just taking precautions, they didn't want me to mess it up or anything crazy. Just being out there today, it felt great. I was out there running, opening up and just trying to do what I can do.'

Footballguys view: Yes, it's actually news when McFadden is healthy enough to fully practice. Talent is not--and has never been--an issue with the veteran back. He's a gifted runner who can't seem to shake the injury bug. If healthy, he can be an effective starter for the Cowboys behind that monstrous (and incredibly talented) offensive line. McFadden will compete with Joseph Randle for the starting job.

Cowboys | HC not worried about Dez Bryant    Tue Jun 16, 07:04 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant's threat to sit out of regular season games if he doesn't receive a long-term extension doesn't have head coach Jason Garrett worried. 'It doesn't concern me one bit,' Garrett said. 'Dez loves football. He has a great passion for the game. He wants to be a great player. He wants our team to be great. He's been working every day to do that and we'll take care of the business as we go.'

Footballguys view: We're not worried about this situation....yet. When we get to (and past) the July 15th deadline to sign franchise-tagged players to a long-term contract then we'll know more about the landscape of the future. Bryant could hold out, but let's first see if the two sides can't come to a new agreement by mid-July.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant not in talks with Dallas    Tue Jun 16, 03:13 PM

Updating previous reports, Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is willing to miss more than just the regular season opener if he does not receive a long-term contract extension. There are no talks between the two sides at this juncture.

Footballguys view: Deals get done at deadlines in the NFL. There are no talks right now, but that could change when we get close to the mid-July deadline. The Cowboys are in a Super Bowl window with Dez Bryant on the field, that's not the case without him.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant will skip minicamp    Mon Jun 15, 04:36 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant will not show up for mandatory minicamp Tuesday, June 16, as he awaits a long-term deal.

Footballguys view: The two sides have until July 15th to work out a new long-term contract. There are rumblings that Bryant would skip Week 1 of the regular season (and obviously training camp) in protest of playing under the one-year franchise tender of $12.8 million. That's far off right now, so just wait to see if something can be done before the mid-July deadline. Bryant's contract could set the market for other free agent wide receivers to follow.

Cowboys | Sean Lee takes part in team drills    Fri Jun 12, 06:55 PM

Dallas Cowboys LB Sean Lee (knee) participated in 7-on-7 drills during organized team activities Wednesday, June 10. Lee was limited to individual drills during the first two weeks of organized team activities.

Footballguys view: Getting Lee back will be a huge boost for the Cowboys defense. The team will continue to monitor his health closely as they get to (and through) training camp.

Cowboys | Rolando McClain expected to miss minicamp    Fri Jun 12, 06:43 PM

Dallas Cowboys LB Rolando McClain (knee) is not expected to participate in the team's minicamp next week. McClain has been in Alabama this offseason recovering from knee surgery.

Footballguys view: McClain is expected to be ready by the start of training camp. He'll play at MIKE for the Cowboys defense again this year after signing a one-year, $3 million contract earlier this year.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden frustrated    Fri Jun 12, 06:37 PM

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) said he is frustrated that he is not able to participate in organized team activities but would rather sit out now than have his hamstring injury linger.

Footballguys view: McFadden has to be frustrated because of his aggravating injury history. This guy has talent, but he always seems to be banged up. If healthy, McFadden will compete with Joseph Randle to be the team's starting running back.

Cowboys | Lache Seastrunk receiving reps    Fri Jun 12, 06:35 PM

Dallas Cowboys RB Lache Seastrunk received increased reps at organized team activities this week because of injuries to RBs Darren McFadden (hamstring) and Ryan Williams (knee).

Footballguys view: Seastrunk is really fast in a straight line. He's not creative or elusive as a runner, and Seastrunk cannot be relied on as a receiver out of the backfield.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant to skip Week 1?    Fri Jun 12, 03:21 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is considering skipping the regular season opener if he does not receive a long-term deal by July 15, according to sources. Bryant has not signed his franchise tender at this point and has until July 15 to sign a multi-year deal with the Cowboys. It is believed the team has not offered Bryant a new deal since before the 2014 season.

Footballguys view: We'll have to pump the brakes on this. First, we need to get past the July 15th deadline for franchise-tagged players to sign long-term contracts. After that, then we could examine whether or not Bryant would holdout during training camp. Then, we'd have to see if that holdout could last into the regular season. Bottom line, there's got to be some patience when looking at this issue.

Cowboys | Byron Jones signs    Thu Jun 11, 05:56 PM

Dallas Cowboys CB Byron Jones signed his four-year rookie contract Thursday, June 11. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Jones is an instinctive cornerback with good size and adequate speed. He's also got the hands and instincts to ballhawk some passes. He'll push Morris Claiborne for time and could do so with starter Brandon Carr as well.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden continues to rehab    Thu Jun 11, 12:13 AM

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) worked on the side Wednesday, June 10, at organized team activities (OTAs), as he continues to rehab his strained hamstring.

Footballguys view: Talent has never been a question for McFadden. However, staying healthy has been a near-constant problem for him during his pro career. Any back worth a damn could be productive (and certainly fantasy relevant) behind that incredibly talented offensive line in Dallas. If healthy, McFadden will compete with Joseph Randle for the starting job in 2015.

Cowboys | Terrance Williams making progress    Wed Jun 10, 02:39 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams has shown good progress with his play during offseason workouts, according to QB Tony Romo.

Footballguys view: Williams will be splitting secondary targets behind Dez Bryant with Cole Beasley and tight end Jason Witten. He's a threat to score a deep touchdown on any given Sunday because of his long speed. That makes him an intriguing bye-week option for fantasy owners in deep leagues. That also makes him an interesting--and cheap--option for DFS players in certain matchups.

Cowboys | Ryan Williams working on side    Wed Jun 10, 12:41 PM

Dallas Cowboys RB Ryan Williams (knee) is working on the side during practice Wednesday, June 10.

Footballguys view: The story with Williams will likely always read "what if." The dude is incredibly talented as a runner, and he was a superstar in college at Virginia Tech. His career has been knocked completely off track by injuries and this year with Dallas might be his last hurrah in the NFL.

Cowboys | Dez Bryant skipping workouts    Wed Jun 10, 12:14 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant has not participated in organized team activities lately, according to head coach Jason Garrett. Garrett said he is not sure if Bryant will report next week.

Footballguys view: Byrant is currently not under contract with the Cowboys. Like Demaryius Thomas in Denver, Bryant has been tagged as a franchise player and has not signed his one-year tender. The Cowboys and Bryant have until July 15th to work out a new long-term deal.

Cowboys | Synjyn Days cut    Mon Jun 8, 01:26 PM

Cowboys | Lache Seastrunk off to Dallas    Mon Jun 8, 11:35 AM

Free-agent RB Lache Seastrunk (Redskins) will sign with the Dallas Cowboys in the next few days.

Footballguys view: Seastrunk's game is all about speed, speed and more speed. He's not creative or elusive, and Seastrunk has bounced around the league in one year as a pro. Originally a sixth-round pick by Washington in the 2014 NFL draft, Seastrunk was released and spent time on the Panthers and Titans practice squads. The Cowboys are getting some depth at running back here, but we're not certain Seastrunk makes the final roster.

Cowboys | Tony Romo gives up other sports    Sun Jun 7, 04:51 PM

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo said he has given up playing basketball, soccer and golf during the offseason, in order to focus on making sure his back is healthy enough to play football.

Footballguys view: Golf had to be tough for Romo to give up as he seems very passionate for the game. This is what's best for Romo at this point in his career. The Cowboys are in a Super Bowl window, and they've done a tremendous job of building a championship roster from the inside out. A healthy Romo keeps the Cowboys as leading contenders in their division.

Cowboys | Tony Romo feeling stronger    Sat Jun 6, 03:38 PM

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo said his quarrelsome back has been feeling stronger and he's had power in areas he hasn't had power before.

Footballguys view: Romo's feeling good, and the Cowboys should be looking good for fantasy owners. That gigantic offensive line will certainly protect Romo, and they'll help blast open holes for the ground game--no matter who the lead back is. Romo is a low-end QB1 that fantasy owners can rely on each week.

Cowboys | Tony Romo glowing this offseason    Fri Jun 5, 10:11 AM

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo said this has been his best offseason he has had in three years. Romo has practiced all three days during on-field team activities in each of the last two weeks with no limitations. 'Now I need to continue,' Romo said. 'I'm working as hard as I can to ensure that I'm strengthening the areas that I need to be at my best and right now it's just been a good start in the offseason. I've been able to continue to build and grow.'

Footballguys view: Romo is going to be well protected by that monstrous (and incredibly talented) offensive line. We'll have to see what the ground game looks like--and more specifically who becomes the team's lead back this season. Either way, Romo will be leading a dangerous offense and that makes him a fantasy factor. His current ADP is QB9 (7.11) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Cowboys | DAL not pressed for Dez Bryant deal    Thu Jun 4, 07:12 PM

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant hasn't participated in organized team activities this week, but he could show up next week, or at veteran's minicamp the week after that. Bryant did make an appearance at last week's session, in which he did some individual drills. Bryant has also occasionally visited the team's Valley Ranch training complex to chat with head coach Jason Garrett and to lift weights. Vice president Stephen Jones said Wednesday, June 3, he'd like to get a deal done, but it's not the end of the world if Bryant plays out the season under the $12.8 million franchise tag.

Footballguys view: We're not expecting much (if any) movement in contract talks here. Both Bryant and Demaryius Thomas (Broncos) are playing the waiting game right now. The deadline to sign franchise players to long-term contracts is July 15th, and that's around when we expect deals to get done--for both superstar wide receivers. We'd be shocked if anything got done before the first week of July.

Cowboys | Lance Dunbar may be third-down back    Thu Jun 4, 03:42 PM

Dallas Cowboys RB Lance Dunbar has been working as the primary back in the two-minute drills during organized team activities and could be the team's third-down back this season.

Footballguys view: We could see that, but not much else from Dunbar. His skill set is that of a change-of-pace back and spot starter. We'll see if he can impress enough in training camp to earn a larger role.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden wants to produce    Thu Jun 4, 01:22 PM

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden wants to prove that he is not a bust and will be given the opportunity as part of the Cowboys' running-back-by-committee approach, according to running backs coach Gary Brown. McFadden has been splitting first-team reps with RB Joseph Randle. McFadden averaged 3.3 yards per carry the last time he played in a zone-blocking scheme, but Brown is not worried about those numbers.

Footballguys view: He's kind of running out of chances. We know McFadden has talent, but in order to prove that, he needs to stay healthy--something he has never been able to do. Fantasy owners are nervous, and his ADP is right behind that of his fellow backfield-mate Joseph Randle at the turn of round 5/6. On top of that, this is a team whose backfield has the smell of RBBC to it, which could limit the value of anyone in it as more than an RB2 or RB3.

Cowboys | Joseph Randle works with first team    Thu Jun 4, 01:25 AM

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle worked with the first-team offense in practice Wednesday, June 3, during organized team activities (OTAs) with RBs Darren McFadden (hamstring) and Ryan Williams (knee) unavailable.

Footballguys view: Nobody on earth can be shocked Darren McFadden is hurt already, though it is disappointing that Williams continues to be banged up. McFadden and Randle are currently pretty close in ADP, with Randle at 5.11 and McFadden at 6.03. This looks like a complete time-share, though with McFadden's constant health issues, he might be the safer bet for consistent production.

Cowboys | Darren McFadden has hammy strain    Thu Jun 4, 01:24 AM

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) was working on the side Wednesday, June 3, at organized team activities (OTAs) due to a hamstring strain.

Footballguys view: We're about as shocked by this as we are when we have to fill out tax forms every April or when that guy in your fantasy league takes a kicker in the mid rounds because 'well I have a whole team.' It's just something that happens. McFadden has so much talent that you should be excited by him behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, but you aren't are you? It's the same with many of us--we've all been burned by his constant and never-ending stream of injuries. McFadden is going at an ADP of 6.03 right now and he and Joseph Randle will probably split carries pretty evenly. Until McFadden is hurt, in which case Randle will just take the job outright.

Cowboys | Ryan Williams nursing sore knee    Thu Jun 4, 01:23 AM

Dallas Cowboys RB Ryan Williams (knee) was sidelined Wednesday, June 3, at organized team activities (OTAs) due to a sore knee.

Footballguys view: Williams has so much talent, but his injuries keep him from reaching his true potential. It's a shame, really, because he could be a huge factor in this offense. Instead, he's likely to be stuck behind Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden, though McFadden certainly has his own injury issues. Williams is going undrafted right now, but could be worth a very late-round flier.

Dallas Cowboys LB Sean Lee (knee) was called a 'ball of energy' for his work during OTAs by defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli. 'He's moving well,' Marinelli said. 'We're just being smart as we get him ready to go. But he's got a lot of good quality work in.'

Footballguys view: Zero surprise here. All Lee needs to do is stay healthy, and he can make a big impact on the field.

Cowboys | Joseph Randle capable of big stats?    Sat May 30, 03:33 PM

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle can attain between 1,200 and 1,500 yards this season if he can stay on the field, according to Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News.

Footballguys view: Randle is a capable back who could get over 1,000 yards rushing if he's the lead back. He'll be competing with Darren McFadden for the starting job. Fantasy owners are taking McFadden as the top Cowboys back off the board. McFadden's current ADP is RB24 (5.08) while Randle's ADP is RB29 (6.10) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Cowboys | Doug Free not practicing    Sat May 30, 10:20 AM

Dallas Cowboys OT Doug Free (ankle) is not participating in organized team activities, because he is still recovering from offseason ankle surgery.

Footballguys view: Free has been a strong player at right tackle for the Cowboys over the last two years. They won't rush him back, but the veteran should be ready to roll for training camp.

Cowboys | Joseph Randle handing bigger load    Fri May 29, 09:15 AM

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle took the majority of the first-team repetitions the first two days of organized team activities this week. RB Darren McFadden split the reps with Randle Wednesday, May 27.

Footballguys view: Place your chips on Randle now if you're betting on a Cowboys back. We'll see this battle continue through training camp, but Randle is the younger player and doesn't come with the long injury history that McFadden does.
