Cardinals | David Johnson is an every-down back    Tue Sep 27, 11:13 PM

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson played 79 of a possible 82 snaps against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. RBs Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington logged just three and one, respectively.

Footballguys view: Any concern about Johnson splitting time in the backfield has been squashed this year. David Johnson is a star player, and he's the centerpiece of the Cardinals offense. While they are struggling in the passing game at times, Johnson is solid on the ground. He's also one of the best receivers out of the backfield in the league. There is no doubt that Johnson is a set-it-and-forget-it starter each week for fantasy owners.

Cardinals | Michael Floyd could be cleared soon    Tue Sep 27, 08:46 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Floyd (concussion) could be cleared as early as Thursday, Sept. 29, according to head coach Bruce Arians. Floyd has already been cleared for non-contact activities.

Footballguys view: His status for Week 4 is up in the air right now. The Cardinals are at home this week to take on the Rams, and having Floyd out there would boost the passing game. It sounds like he may be available, but we'll have more information on Friday.

Cardinals | Michael Floyd in concussion protocol    Mon Sep 26, 03:32 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Floyd (head) was cleared on the sideline to reenter the game in Week 3 Buffalo Bills, but he experienced a headache on Monday, Sept. 26, and entered the league's concussion protocol.

Footballguys view: This situation needs to be monitored. Floyd doesn't have a history of concussions, but the team is obviously being cautious with him now after experiencing a headache on Monday. We should know more about his availability later in the week.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald catches seven passes    Sun Sep 25, 05:22 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught seven passes for 60 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.

Footballguys view: Fitzgerald wasn't able to score, but he still showed that he's a high floor PPR receiver as Carson Palmer's clear #1 receiver at this point in the season.

Cardinals | Michael Floyd has solid outing    Sun Sep 25, 05:15 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Floyd caught four passes for 65 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.

Footballguys view: Floyd was able to get a decent stat line in the Cardinals futile comeback attempt, but it has been very rough opening to the season for him. He's only a what the heck flex until he and the Cardinals recapture their 2015 second half form.

Cardinals | John Brown posts 70 yards    Sun Sep 25, 05:11 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown caught six passes for 70 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.

Footballguys view: Brown was the only bright spot in a tough day for the Cardinals offense. He is back in WR3/Flex consideration as the Cardinals welcome the Rams to Glendale next week.

Cardinals | David Johnson scores twice    Sun Sep 25, 05:05 PM

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. He also caught three passes for 28 yards during the game.

Footballguys view: Johnson didn't get consistent gains early to put the Cardinals in good down and distance situations, but he was able to get going on a distance touchdown and he showed that he is one of the only game script proof backs in the NFL. He's looking like an elite fantasy RB1 heading into a matchup against the Rams.

Cardinals | Carson Palmer struggles in Week 3    Sun Sep 25, 04:58 PM

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer went 26-for-50 for 287 yards and four interceptions against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.

Footballguys view: Palmer was a disaster as the running game failed to put him in good down and distances and the receivers couldn't get open downfield. Worries about his game degrading from the preseason aren't going away after this performance against a Bills defense that Ryan Fitzpatrick dismantled ten days ago. Los Angeles and their sometimes strong defense comes to town next week in a game that will test our ability to trust him in our lineups.

Cardinals | No limitations for Larry Fitzgerald     Thu Sep 22, 08:14 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

Footballguys view: Fitzgerald has been on a tear so far, and we expect him to continue that. He's a great WR2 play against a defense which was destroyed by the Jets last week and has allowed an average of 297.5 net passing yards over the first two games.

Cardinals | Patrick Peterson to cover top WR    Wed Sep 21, 11:09 PM

Arizona Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson is expected to cover Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) in their Week 3 game, according to FS Tyrann Mathieu.

Footballguys view: We were already down on Watkins potential this week as he doesn't look right while he continues to deal with this foot injury. With Peterson on him, it's better to find help elsewhere in Week 3.

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 16, and is not on the injury report for Week 2.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald still limited    Thu Sep 15, 11:47 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (knee) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 15.

Footballguys view: Fitzgerald has always been one of the best at playing through injuries and maintaining a high level of play. He's a good start this week vs. a Tampa secondary that is subject to major lapses.

Arizona Cardinals FS Tyrann Mathieu was on the field for all 71 of the team's defensive snaps in Week 1, according to ESPN's John Clayton. There had been some question as to how much Mathieu would play leading up to the game.

Footballguys view: So much for easing him back. 'Honey Badger' is a playmaker, and it's tough to keep a guy like him off the field.

Arizona Cardinals QB Aaron Murray was released from the practice squad Monday, Sept. 12.

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has reportedly told people close to him that 2016 will be his final season.

Footballguys view: Jaron Brown was already an interesting player in dynasty leagues because of Michael Floyd's free agent status. Now he could be in line for an even better chance to play significant snaps next year. Fitzgerald will still be a strong WR3 play this year with a high floor, but this is not the first time we've heard that he could retire after this season.

Arizona Cardinals S Tyrann Mathieu appeared to express some doubt regarding how many snaps he would be able to play Week 1 versus the New England Patriots, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.
