Falcons | Tevin Coleman a bad fit?    Sat Jul 4, 09:19 PM

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman could lack the patience needed to thrive in the team's zone-based rushing attack, but he is still the favorite to start in Week 1, according to Steven Ruiz of USA TODAY Sports.

Footballguys view: Many analysts have acknowledged that Coleman's straight-linish style does not fit with what has made new offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's zone blocking running game work over the years. Coleman can alter his style, and Shanahan can alter the playcalling and design to meet in the middle. Chances are this will remain some variation of a frustrating RBBC for fantasy, but both Coleman and committee-mate Devonta Freeman are attractive picks because they offer the chance at a team's #1 back at a 6th round or later price in most drafts.

Falcons | Tevin Coleman the frontrunner to start?    Fri Jul 3, 10:13 PM

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman should end up starting Week 1 ahead of RB Devonta Freeman, according to Steven Ruiz of USA TODAY Sports, because Coleman has top-end speed and was picked by the coaching staff.

Footballguys view: Freeman and Coleman are both going to have sizable roles no matter who the ceremonial starter is for Week 1. Freeman will get more work on passing downs and in no huddle situations, while Coleman should see more early down work. Both backs will have the chance to increase their role with success, but don't expect a 300+ touch back to emerge this year in Atlanta. Both are going in the fifth round or later, with Freeman usually going 2-4 rounds after Coleman.

Falcons | Tony Moeaki the answer at TE?    Thu Jun 25, 07:10 PM

Atlanta Falcons TE Tony Moeaki will compete with TE Jacob Tamme for the Falcons' starting tight end job during training camp. QB Matt Ryan praised both tight ends for their work in the past, 'They (both) have these unique qualities down in the red zone, and can be featured on third down,' Ryan said. 'I think (they) have a little uniqueness . . .I would say Jacob and Tony more, in the third down and the route-running and finding ways to match them on a linebacker to see if they can run the options and do the stuff on third downs required to get open,' said Ryan. Moeaki has overcome injury troubles and hopes to reestablish himself as the once promising tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Footballguys view: Nah, we're not buying this. Moeaki has a ton of talent, but he also has an injury history that goes back to his days in college. Tamme has more left in the tank than some think, and he should lead the way for the Falcons at tight end. For fantasy purposes, Tamme is more of a TE2/backup.

Falcons | Devonta Freeman enters camp the starter    Tue Jun 23, 10:18 AM

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman enters training camp ahead of RB Tevin Coleman on the depth chart.

Footballguys view: Nobody should be surprised here. Freeman runs with a low center of gravity, and he can change direction without losing much speed. He's not a pile-pusher, but Freeman can break some arm tackles. Coleman is a speed back with the ability to score anytime he touches the ball. The Falcons are likely to use both in a RBBC this season.

Falcons | Roddy White won't be given days off    Fri Jun 19, 03:45 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (leg) will not be granted days off once training camp begins, despite his veteran status and recent leg and ankle issues, according to head coach Dan Quinn. White did miss two days of minicamp.

Footballguys view: White's going to be fine. He'll work well in the Kyle Shanahan offense as the team's WR2 opposite Julio Jones. With a current ADP of WR33 (7.06), White could be a valuable WR3 for fantasy owners.

Falcons | Devonta Freeman has groin injury    Fri Jun 19, 03:23 PM

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (groin) has a mild groin strain that kept him off the field for the final day of minicamp.

Footballguys view: Not that big of a deal because it's a minor injury and we're heading into a month or so of rest before training camp begins. Freeman will compete with rookie Tevin Coleman to be the Falcons starter this season.

Falcons | Devonta Freeman to be versatile    Fri Jun 19, 01:09 PM

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman will be used in a lot of different ways, including as a receiver, according to head coach Dan Quinn. 'I knew Devonta had terrific hands, but I probably didn't appreciate the good route-running ability coming out of Florida State and the development he made with (former running backs coach) Gerald (Brown) and the guys here last year. He can really run routes.'

Footballguys view: We love Freeman's upside. He has a low center of gravity and this helps him change direction quickly without losing much speed or burst/power. In training camp, Freeman will have to hold off rookie Tevin Coleman for the starting job. However, this is likely to be some form of RBBC where both backs get used. We're expecting Freeman to get first crack at being the lead back here.

Falcons | Make two roster moves    Thu Jun 18, 04:16 PM

Free-agent WR Carlton Mitchell (Buccaneers) signed an undisclosed contract with the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, June 18. WR Shane Wynn was waived.

Footballguys view: Mitchell was an intriguing prospect for dynasty owners when he came out of USF a few years ago. He hasn't been in the NFL since 2013, but he's spent the last two seasons playing in the CFL. Mitchell will compete for a depth spot on the roster in Atlanta.

Falcons | Tevin Coleman sitting out    Thu Jun 18, 11:58 AM

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman (groin) is out of practice Thursday, June 18, with a mild groin strain.

Footballguys view: Coleman might have been able to go, but as we're at the end of mini-camps, with almost a month before the Falcons go to training camp, so why force it? We feel the Falcons will commit to the run, but there is too much power in the pass game to go run-heavy. That supports the ADP we're seeing of 30th back off the board, around the late sixth rounds. The rookie Coleman will battle with second-year pro Devonta Freeman to be the Falcons lead back in what is likely to be some form of RBBC.

Falcons | Roddy White participating    Thu Jun 18, 11:16 AM

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (undisclosed) is taking part in the walkthrough Thursday, June 18.

Footballguys view: The team is likely just taking it easy on an aging veteran. We know the Falcons are likely to be running the ball a little more with Tevin Coleman selected in the third round of the 2015 NFL draft. Still if they run the ball a little more, the targets lost will come from White's column. We see him as a fading WR3...if he stays healthy.

Falcons | Lamar Holmes out indefinitely    Wed Jun 17, 04:26 PM

Atlanta Falcons OT Lamar Holmes (foot) suffered a broken foot Wednesday, June 17, and will be out indefinitely, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

Footballguys view: Camp reports revealed that Holmes had dropped about 30 pounds and was moving well in Atlanta's new zone-blocking system. Holmes had been working at left tackle while starter Jake Matthews was recovering from foot surgery. When Matthews returns, Holmes was expected to compete for the starting job at right tackle.

Falcons | Julio Jones won't hold out    Wed Jun 17, 03:22 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones said Wednesday, June 17, that he is not going to hold out for a new contract this offseason.

Footballguys view: Jones had his fifth-year option picked up, and he's set to make $10.1 million this year. We will see the new market set for wide receivers if guys like Dez Bryant or Demaryius Thomas get new deals with their respective teams. Both of those guys are looking at contracts that could potentially pay them each $16 million annually. Any deal Jones signs will be close to what those guys get.

Falcons | Carlton Mitchell working out    Wed Jun 17, 02:08 PM

Free-agent WR Carlton Mitchell (Buccaneers) has been participating in the Atlanta Falcons' minicamp on a tryout basis.

Footballguys view: Mitchell was a star in college at USF, but he's not been able to make an impact at the pro level. He hasn't been in the NFL since 2013, but he's spent the last two seasons playing in the CFL.

Falcons | Roddy White sitting out    Wed Jun 17, 01:50 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (undisclosed) is out for the second straight day Wednesday, June 17.

Footballguys view: No big deal here. Veterans get time off during minicamp and OTAs. There's no need for White to be out there and risk injury.

Falcons | Matt Ryan likes new offense    Wed Jun 17, 12:42 PM

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan said he likes the offense that offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan has brought to the team because it is a balanced offense. 'Balance on offense is huge,' Ryan said. 'I think with the run scheme that Kyle brings in, that's going to help us improve in the run game. Certainly, when you get the running game going, that helps the quarterback and that helps the passing game. I'm all for it.'

Footballguys view: Fantasy owners should be liking what's coming out of Atlanta right now. This team should have a potent offense with Shanahan running the show. Ryan will be able to benefit from a strong rushing attack featuring both Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman. This will lead to play-action passing where Ryan should be able to pick apart defenses with Julio Jones, Roddy White and even newcomer TE Jacob Tamme. Ryan is coming off the board at QB7 (7.02) in 12-team PPR leagues, but he could push for a top-5 finish in 2015.

Falcons | Jacob Tamme may be in lead for TE job    Wed Jun 17, 12:31 PM

Atlanta Falcons TE Jacob Tamme appears to be the leading candidate for the starting tight end job but is being pushed by TEs Tony Moeaki and Levine Toilolo. Head coach Dan Quinn indicated Toilolo could be used more as a blocker this season.

Footballguys view: Moeaki has talent, but he always seems to be banged up. Toilolo is a captain on the Black Eyed Joe All-Name team, but he's coming off a seriously disappointing 2014 where he stayed in to block mostly. Tamme is a team-first guy, and he's got more left in the tank than some think. No Atlanta tight end is getting selected in 12-team PPR leagues at this time, but keep the veteran Tamme on your waiver-wire speed dial.

Falcons | Justin Hardy impresses Matt Ryan    Tue Jun 16, 10:40 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Justin Hardy has impressed QB Matt Ryan early this offseason, 'He's really picked up things. And you can see him kind of every practice he goes out there, he gets a little more comfortable and he becomes a little more confident. That's going to bode well for us. His production for us this season is going to be important.'

Footballguys view: The Falcons drafted Hardy to replace longtime WR3 Harry Douglas. He proved that he can move the sticks, converting 70 percent of his catches to first downs in 2014 at East Carolina. It's good that the rookie is already making his mark.

Falcons | Devonta Freeman starts as top RB    Tue Jun 16, 07:41 PM

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman began minicamp as the starting running back.

Footballguys view: As the more experienced pro (one season), Freeman gets the nod over rookie Tevin Coleman...for now. These two will battle it out in training camp to determine which one will be Atlanta's lead back. Freeman is built low to the ground, can change direction without losing much speed and he's dangerous in space. Coleman (one of our favorite rookie RBs) has speed, speed and more speed. He's a big-play weapon who gets stronger as the game goes on. Coleman is a real threat to score any time he touches the ball. This will be an interesting battle to watch in August.

Falcons | Sam Baker released    Mon Jun 15, 11:51 AM

Atlanta Falcons OT Sam Baker was released Monday, June 15.

Footballguys view: Baker was the team's first-round pick in 2008, but he constantly struggled to stay healthy as a pro. He missed all of last season with a knee injury, and in 2013 he missed all but four games. The recovery process may not be going well for Baker as he had yet to return to the practice field due to his last injury. If healthy, Baker may have to continue his NFL career at a different position as perhaps a move inside to guard is in his future.

Falcons | Roddy White not concerned with role    Sun Jun 14, 07:26 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White said he is not concerned about the possibility of seeing fewer targets in offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's system. 'I've never concerned myself about that,' White said. 'When we had Mike Mularkey (as offensive coordinator), we ran the ball and we found ways to get me the ball. I never worry about passes or things like that. My opportunities are going to come. I just have got to hold onto the ball and make my plays when I have to make them.'

Footballguys view: Fantasy owners know pretty much what to expect from White at this point in his career. He's a WR3 with WR2 upside depending on the matchup. Right now, White is going off the board at WR32 (7.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Falcons | Atlanta's RBs to be busy?    Sun Jun 14, 07:20 PM

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman and RB Devonta Freeman are set to open training camp as the primary ball-carriers, and WR Roddy White said he expects the offense to run the ball a lot more in 2015. 'I just don't think we're going to go out there and throw it 30, 40 times a game like we did in the past,' White said. 'I'm not saying that we didn't like that, but it's going to be different. We have to get back to our old (style) where we run the football. Play-action passes and convert on third downs.'

Footballguys view: This is an important battle for fantasy owners to watch during training camp. Freeman has good balance and a low center of gravity when he runs. He can change direction on a dime, and his decisiveness with the ball can make him quite effective in the Shanahan system. Coleman is a favorite rookie running back of ours. He's got the speed to score from anywhere on the field. He gets stronger as the game goes on, and Coleman is dangerous in open space. This will be a RBBC, but the primary ball-carrier could perform like a low-end RB2 for fantasy owners.

Falcons | Devin Hester not sure of role    Sat Jun 13, 01:24 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Devin Hester still doesn't know exactly what role he'll be playing in new offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's offense. 'We're just figuring out the offense, figuring out who fits best in what positions and what routes we're running,' Hester said. 'We're all fresh right now in the new offense, so we're trying to figure out who can run the best routes.' Hester said there would be a clearer picture on who will be playing what roles towards the middle of training camp.

Footballguys view: Regardless of his role, Hester is unlikely to have much fantasy value in the Shanahan system. The only two receivers getting drafted from Atlanta in 12-team PPR leagues right now are Julio Jones (WR3, 1.09) and Roddy White (WR32, 7.04).

Falcons | Vic Beasley signs deal    Fri Jun 12, 04:38 PM

Atlanta Falcons LB Vic Beasley signed a four-year deal worth $14.5 million with the team Friday, June 12. The deal includes an $8.8 million signing bonus.

Footballguys view: Beasley was one of the best pass-rushers in the 2015 NFL draft. He's quick off the ball and has the ability to bend and burst around the edge. Beasley has a good bag of tricks as a pass-rusher, including a deadly spin move that can get him by blockers quickly and cleanly. The Falcons were looking to upgrade their defense, and Beasley will certainly help that.

Falcons | Julio Jones aiming higher for 2015    Thu Jun 11, 09:19 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones is aiming to improve on his 2014 season, during which he set a franchise record with 1,593 receiving yards. 'I don't feel like I did my best last year. I'm bigger, faster, stronger than I ever was, to this point now. Shouts out to the trainers. They helped me out. But I definitely can improve on everything,' said Jones.

Footballguys view: There's no need to think that Jones hit his peak last year. Jones could be primed to put up even better numbers this year in Kyle Shanahan's offense. Don't expect him to best those statistics, but don't write in a decline in production either. In fact, we project Jones to end up around the same spot he always seems to be when healthy. He's a top-10 fantasy wide receiver, and a slight increase in touchdown catches could easily put him in the top 5.

Falcons | Leonard Hankerson impresses coach    Wed Jun 10, 02:29 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Leonard Hankerson has been one of the standout players during organized team activities, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

Footballguys view: Hankerson has talent, he just has a problem staying healthy after battling knee injuries for most of his career. The Falcons new staff includes offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan--a coach Hankerson worked under during their time together in Washington. If healthy, Hankerson will push for playing time behind Julio Jones and Roddy White.

Falcons | Joe Hawley practicing Tuesday    Tue Jun 9, 01:43 PM

Atlanta Falcons C Joe Hawley (knee) was back at practice for the first time Tuesday, June 9, since tearing the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his right knee.

Footballguys view: He suffered his knee injury last year in Week 4. Hawley should be near full strength at the start of training camp. He's got a good skill set to fit into the Kyle Shanahan offense.

Falcons | William Moore back in action    Tue Jun 9, 01:42 PM

Atlanta Falcons SS William Moore (shoulder) returned to practice for the first time Tuesday, June 9, since having major right shoulder surgery in the winter.

Footballguys view: Moore is an intimidating presence on the field, and getting him back will boost the defense. The Falcons have made a lot of moves to improve that side of the ball, and new head coach Dan Quinn will build a quality defense.

Falcons | Jake Matthews returns to practice    Tue Jun 9, 01:39 PM

Atlanta Falcons OT Jake Matthews (foot), who had surgery to fix a torn Lisfranc ligament in his left foot in January, was back on the field during the team's organized team activities Tuesday, June 9.

Footballguys view: Lisfranc injuries need plenty of time to heal. The Falcons have to take it easy on Matthews as he returns from this injury. He was running without issues in drills after having surgery Jan. 5.

Falcons | Jacob Tamme standing out    Wed Jun 3, 09:32 PM

Atlanta Falcons TE Jacob Tamme has been a standout during the early going of organized team activities.

Footballguys view: Tamme has more left in the tank than some people think. He'll compete with Levine Toilolo to be the Falcons top tight end. The Kyle Shanahan offense is going to have plenty of designed plays for the tight end position. Tamme should be on your waiver-wire speed dial during the season in case you need help at tight end.

Falcons | Antone Smith back at practice    Tue Jun 2, 10:41 PM

Atlanta Falcons RB Antone Smith (leg) was happy about being able to return to the practice field Tuesday, June 2, for organized team activities (OTAs).

Footballguys view: Smith has been knocked out of action since last November due to this leg injury. He is a big-play back with the ability to score from anywhere on the field. Smith should work as a change-of-pace back in Kyle Shanahan's system this season.

Falcons | Atlanta has competition at running back    Mon Jun 1, 05:26 PM

Atlanta Falcons RBs Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman will fight for the starting running back position this offseason, as head coach Dan Quinn said they are both battling for it. Quinn added that it's currently difficult to predict how the situation will play out. Freeman is expected to be the No. 1 running back at least until Coleman acclimates to the Falcons and the professional level.

Footballguys view: This will be an important battle for fantasy owners to monitor. The Kyle Shanahan system can produce valuable starting running backs. Freeman has one year of experience and runs with a lower center of gravity. Coleman is the talented rookie with home-run speed and the ability to get stronger as the game goes on. We think Coleman eventually emerges, but how soon will depend on how Freeman looks.

Falcons | Chris Chester signed    Sun May 31, 04:53 PM

The Atlanta Falcons have signed free-agent OG Chris Chester (Redskins). He is expected to compete with OG Mike Person for a starting job. In a corresponding move, the team has waived LB Derrick Malone.

Footballguys view: Chester knows the system as he worked under Falcons OC Kyle Shanahan during their time together in Washington (2011-2013). He has a good skill set for the zone-blocking system and should be the favorite to win the starting job.

Falcons | Matt Ryan moving out of pocket more    Sat May 30, 12:44 AM

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan will move outside the pocket more this season in offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's system.

Footballguys view: Shanahan's system is bootleg heavy and features a ton of play-action passing. We know this offense will be able to run the ball effectively under Shanahan, and that makes guys like Devonta Freeman and/or rookie Tevin Coleman interesting fantasy commodities. Ryan should be able to thrive as a passer in the new offense.

Falcons | Devonta Freeman works with starters    Tue May 26, 09:29 PM

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman worked with the first-team offense during organized team activities Tuesday, May 26.

Footballguys view: Freeman is a nice fit in the Kyle Shanahan offense. He's built low to the ground, has a powerful lower body and can change direction without losing much speed. Freeman will compete with rookie Tevin Coleman to be the lead back for the Falcons in 2015. No matter who wins the starting job, the Falcons should use some form of RBBC....stay tuned.

Falcons | Julio Jones attending OTAs    Tue May 26, 07:16 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones was present for the start of organized team activities Tuesday, May 26, according to a source.

Footballguys view: Jones has one year remaining on his current contract but there have been no talks yet between the team and Jones regarding a new deal. There's going to be a few other big-name wide receivers who might get new contracts before Jones does. The market for these contracts needs to be set by guys like Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas. There doesn't seem to be any hurry to get a new deal done with Jones.

Falcons | Antone Smith hopes to be in RB mix    Mon May 25, 06:57 PM

Atlanta Falcons RB Antone Smith (leg) is still recovering from a broken leg, but he hopes to be back in the mix by the start of training camp in late July. "The recovery is going pretty good," Smith said. "I'm up and running. I'm almost full force, but not quite where I need to be. In time, that will take care of itself," said Smith.

Footballguys view: Smith is built low to the ground, but he can make big plays in the open field. He does a good job of picking and cutting his way through trash as a runner, and Smith has incredible foot frequency which allows him to change direction without losing much speed. If healthy, finding touches behind rookie (starter?) Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman could be difficult.

Falcons | Vic Beasley still hasn't signed    Mon May 25, 06:51 PM

Atlanta Falcons OLB Vic Beasley has yet to sign his rookie contract, as of Monday, May 25. The Falcons may need to start their offseason team activities without their eighth overall pick from the 2015 NFL Draft.

Footballguys view: Rookie contracts are no big deal in today's NFL. There's a rookie salary cap, and contracts are built from the deals around the pick. Beasley will make a little less than the 7th-overall pick (Bears WR Kevin White) and a little more than the 9th-overall pick (Giants OT Ereck Flowers). Something should be done with the rookie pass-rusher shortly.

Falcons | Two ATL backs could split carries    Sun May 24, 04:19 PM

The Atlanta Falcons could use a two-back system this season where RBs Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman wind up receiving equal reps.

Footballguys view: An important note for fantasy owners here. We love Coleman's upside and big-play ability--especially in a Kyle Shanahan offense. Coleman reminds some in the scouting community of DeMarco Murray because of his upright running style, decisiveness and ability to create big plays in space. Freeman is no slouch either. He's built low to the ground and can change directions without losing much speed. It's a good problem to have for the Falcons, but it could create headaches for fantasy owners.

Atlanta Falcons LB Joplo Bartu was fined $50,000 for an alcohol-related offense after a two-game suspension was rescinded, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Falcons | Justin Hardy to be No. 3 WR for ATL?    Thu May 21, 06:50 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Justin Hardy is projected as the Falcons' No. 3 receiver behind WRs Julio Jones and Roddy White, according to NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal.

Footballguys view: With Harry Douglas in Tennessee, the Falcons needed to add another wide receiver to the mix and that's why Hardy was their fourth-round pick. Coming out of East Carolina, Hardy is a smart player who does the little things well. He'll come back to the football after sitting down in a zone. Hardy can also reach for passes and pluck them out of the air naturally. He's got large hands and a long wingspan that help him play bigger than his size.

Falcons | Antone Smith progresses to running    Thu May 21, 08:33 AM

Atlanta Falcons RB Antone Smith (leg) has began running during his rehabilitation from a fractured right leg he suffered Nov. 16, 2014. Smith said he is almost running full force. It is unlikely he will be cleared for the beginning of organized team activities Tuesday, May 26, though.

Footballguys view: Smith is more notable for his five touchdowns in ten games last season before the injury. He showed some big-play, home-run ability, but will fight with Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman for playing time. Still, his speed and ability to get outside fits well with offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's scheme. He's worth watching as a late-round flier or free agency acquisition.

Falcons | Levine Toilolo to start at TE for ATL?    Wed May 20, 03:48 PM

Atlanta Falcons TE Levine Toilolo is the projected starting tight end this season. TEs Jacob Tamme, Tony Moeaki and Mickey Shuler will also be in the mix at the position this offseason.

Footballguys view: Toilolo isn't an exciting fantasy option. We're keeping an eye on veteran Jacob Tamme. He's still got the ability to get open against zone coverage, and Tamme can do something with the rock after the catch. Neither player is getting drafted in 14-round, 12-team PPR leagues at this time.

Atlanta Falcons SS William Moore (shoulder) said he hopes to receive clearance to practice in a few weeks. He said he is still rehabbing his surgically repaired shoulder but his body feels good.

Footballguys view: Moore is expected to be one of the starting safeties in 2015 if he is healthy. Getting Moore back would boost the Falcons secondary. They'll also benefit from a better group of pass-rushers up front.

Falcons | Tevin Coleman signs with Atlanta    Tue May 12, 04:33 PM

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman signed a four-year contract Tuesday, May 12. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: We love this addition for the Falcons. Coleman will compete with Devonta Freeman for the starting running back position. We like the rookie in this competition. Coleman has a running style similar to that of DeMarco Murray (Eagles). Coleman runs upright, but he's a swift runner with field-flipping speed. He can score from anywhere on the field, and Coleman is always looking for that big play. Coleman will be a fine fit in the Kyle Shanahan offense. His current ADP is RB43 (9.09) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Atlanta Falcons CB Jalen Collins, the team's second-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, signed his rookie contract Saturday, May 9. Financial terms were not made available.

Footballguys view: Collins could have easily been a first-round pick in the draft. The Falcons crushed the draft in nearly every round, and Collins could develop into a fine starter for this team eventually.
