From the upgrade/downgrade report (Mon Sep 18): In one of the more shocking turns of this two-week old season, Higgins has gone from practice squad to #1 receiver for the Browns. He had good chemistry with both quarterbacks and should be the leading wide receiver target going into a winnable game against the Colts. He's solid depth in fantasy leagues right now.

General News (Tue Sep 19): was listed as a starter on the team' Week 3 unofficial depth chart Tuesday, Sept. 19

Week 3: at Indianapolis Colts

All WR vs IND

FBG says: Good matchup. DeShone Kizer left last week's game after dealing with migraine headaches. Kizer came back after leaving but was largely ineffective as he threw for four interceptions in this game Adding to issues for the Browns passing game is Corey Coleman broke his hand last week and has been placed on IR. The Browns passing game still leaves a lot to be desired and it is still incredibly young as Ricardo Louis and Rishard Higgins are expected to see an increase in workload with the injury to Corey Coleman. This Colts passing defense badly misses Vontae Davis who could be close to returning and if he does return, this matchup becomes not nearly as good for the Browns this week as Davis who is one of the top cornerbacks in the league would significantly improve their defense as the Colts have been mixing Quincy Wilson and T.J. Green as the replacement for Davis and neither has been particularly effective. Last week, the Colts secondary held strong for the first half only to fall apart in the second half which was primarily setup due to the pass rush getting to Carson Palmer which the pass-rush will have a more difficult time against the Browns strong offensive line.

2017 Week 2 vs BAL (11 / 7 / 95 / 0 rec, 1 / 4 / 0 rush)

Higgins had a career day against the Ravens after being elevated from the practice squad earlier in the week. In the first quarter, he made a great diving catch for a 35-yard gain. He had another shot at a big gain in the second quarter but was unable to hold onto the ball. Higgins and reserve quarterback Kevin Hogan displayed good chemistry, with many of his catches coming in the quarter or so that Hogan was in the game.

Latest News

Browns | Ricardo Louis primed for bigger role (Tue Sep 19, 01:07 PM) - Cleveland Browns WR Ricardo Louis 'figures to move in the pecking order' following the Week 2 injury to Corey Coleman, according to ESPN's Pat McManamon, who adds he expects Rashard Higgins to remain the team's slot receiver.

Our View: Like Higgins, Louis was picked in the 2016 NFL draft by the Browns. While Higgins was a fifth-round pick for the Browns, they actually selected Louis in the fourth round. Coming out of Auburn, Louis had a nice size/speed combination at 6'2" 215 pounds. He can make plays after the catch and is developing as a route runner.

Browns | Rashard Higgins now a starter? (Tue Sep 19, 12:45 PM) - Cleveland Browns WR Rashard Higgins was listed as a starter on the team' Week 3 unofficial depth chart Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Our View: Higgins should stay in the slot for the Browns as that's where he can do the most damage. Ricardo Louis is likely to line up outside opposite Kenny Britt. Watch this young duo for the Browns (Higgins, Louis) to see what kind of impact the 2016 draft picks can do with this opportunity.

Browns | Rashard Higgins finishes with 95 yards (Sun Sep 17, 07:47 PM) - Cleveland Browns WR Rashard Higgins finished with seven receptions for 95 yards on 11 targets in Week 2 at Baltimore.

Our View: Corey Coleman has a broken hand and Kenny Britt is in the doghouse. Rashard Higgins might be the #1 receiver going into the matchup with the Colts.

Browns | Tyrone Holmes let go (Sat Sep 16, 01:54 PM) - Cleveland Browns DL Tyrone Holmes was waived Saturday, Sept. 16. To fill his spot on the roster, WR Rashard Higgins was promoted from the practice squad.

Our View: Higgins is a dynasty prospect we've got some interest in. A fifth-round pick out of Colorado State in 2016, 'Hollywood' Higgins has a tiny bit of A.J. Green (Bengals) to his game. He can make crazy catches seem routine and plucks the ball out of the air naturally with arms extended away from his body. Let's see if Higgins can do anything with his opportunity.
