Week 6: at Minnesota Vikings

All WR vs MIN

FBG says: Bad matchup. The Philadelphia Eagles' passing attack has been mediocre since a season-opening explosion against the Washington Redskins. This week one eruption may have been, in part, due to a positive game script for the passing game as well as a weak Washington secondary. Another notable factor is the health of their receiving corps- week one was the only game their full compliment of pass-catchers was healthy. This weekend, however, the Eagles are hopeful that DeSean Jackson will return to the lineup, and they will finally be back at full-strength. Carson Wentz has thrown for less-than 200 yards in each of the team's last two outings, as the Eagles have gone with an uncharacteristically run-heavy approach. When he has thrown the ball, Alshon Jeffery and Zach Ertz stand out above the rest as his favorite targets. Philadelphia's deep group of running backs consistently rotate in and out of the game, making for erratic production through the air for Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders. The Eagles' offensive line ranks amongst the league's best, and they have done an exceptional job of keeping Carson Wentz clean in the pocket. Should Jackson return to action this weekend, expect the efficiency of Philadelphia's passing attack to increase dramatically, as Jackson is a deep-threat unlike anyone else on the Eagles' roster. Minnesota's pass defense has been one of the league's best through the season's first five weeks. Over the last three weeks, the Vikings have allowed just over 200 passing yards and 1 touchdown per game to opposing quarterbacks. Even against high-volume aerial attacks, the Vikings have held their own, as they have defended no less than 30 pass attempts in any game this year. Minnesota's impressive personnel across the board signals that this is not a fluke, and the Vikings will likely continue to perform as one of the league's best pass defenses. Along the defensive line, Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter both rank amongst the league's top edge rushers. The duo has combined for an astonishing 61 pressures on opposing quarterbacks, and they're supported by one of the best coverage units in the league. At linebacker, Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr are two of the most athletic linebackers in the league, and they make full use of this in coverage. Finally, in the secondary, Minnesota may have the best pair of safeties in the NFL. If Harrison Smith and Anthony Harris are not both in the NFL's top-five safeties in coverage, then they're close. The Vikings have yet to allow a passing touchdown of more than 35 yards this year. If DeSean Jackson is unable to play for the Eagles this weekend, it is tough to imagine they will be able to take the top off of this Vikings' secondary. It will be tough sledding for the Eagles' passing attack here in week six against one of the league's slowest offenses and best defenses.

2019 Week 3 vs DET (7 / 4 / 62 / 0 rec)

Hollins saw elevated playing time with Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson out against Detroit. Hollins had an up-and-down game with two third-down conversions but also two offensive pass interference penalties. Hollins has been more of special teams player than offensive option to-date for the Eagles.
