Bears | Evaluating Chicago's WRs Mon Jun 5, 09:43 AM
Chicago Bears WRs Cameron Meredith (thumb), Kevin White and Markus Wheaton (shoulder) are considered locks to make the 53-man roster, in the opinion of Chicago Tribune writer Dan Wiederer. WRs Victor Cruz, Kendall Wright, Josh Bellamy, Deonte Thompson and Daniel Braverman are considered to be on the bubble. WRs Tanner Gentry, Rueben Randle and Titus Davis are viewed as long shots for the final roster.
Footballguys view: Meredith and potentially White have fantasy value, but there's not much else that gets us excited here. Wheaton couldn't stay healthy or impress during his time with the Steelers. Cruz is a great story (and a great dancer) but not a great fantasy asset. We're a bit intrigued by Gentry in super deep dynasty leagues as his 49 targets of 20 yards or more in 2016 led the FBS (per PFF). That's about it really...and don't expect the Bears passing game to light the world on fire no matter if Mike Glennon or Mitchell Trubisky is the starter at quarterback. |

Bears | Rueben Randle signs with Chicago Tue Jan 10, 05:26 PM
Free-agent WR Rueben Randle (Eagles) signed a Reserve/Future contract with the Chicago Bears Tuesday, Jan. 10.
Footballguys view: Randle was eligible to sign a futures contract with the Bears since he was out of football in 2016. They worked him out in November and must've felt like he was worth a shot. Randle had 938 receiving yards in 2014 and 797 receiving yards in 2015. There's a chance he could find a spot with the Bears, but he didn't do anything to impress a WR-needy Eagles team in 2016 training camp. |

Saints | Rueben Randle works out for Saints Tue Sep 6, 06:18 PM
Free-agent WR Rueben Randle (Eagles) worked out for the New Orleans Saints Tuesday, Sept. 6, according to a source.
Footballguys view: The Saints are likely just updating their emergency list here. Randle was inconsistent with the Giants, and he wasn't able to make the Eagles roster even though he just signed early this year. |

Eagles | Rueben Randle headlines Philly's moves Sun Aug 28, 07:14 PM
The Philadelphia Eagles waived or released WR Rueben Randle, LS John DePalma, CB Randall Evans, OT Andrew Gardner, DT Mike Martin, S Nick Perry and CB Denzel Rice on Sunday, Aug. 28. In addition, the Eagles placed DE Alex McCalister (calf) and LB Joe Walker (knee) on Reserve/Injured list.
Footballguys view: Randle was actually relevant in fantasy leagues for stretches of the last two seasons, which is a great sign for Sterling Shepard in his role opposite Odell Beckham Jr. He could get a look before the season starts and we probably haven't heard the last of him. Still, if Randle couldn't make this weak wide receiver group in Philadelphia, his future is looking dim. |

Eagles | Two Eagles on the bubble Wed Aug 17, 10:05 AM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle and WR Chris Givens have failed to impress, and they could fail to make the team.

Eagles | Rueben Randle's 'embarrassing' effort Fri Aug 12, 01:13 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle's performance in Philadelphia's first preseason game, Thursday, Aug. 11, was described as an 'embarrassment' by PhillyVoice.com's Jimmy Kempski. He noted Randle's poor route-running and blocking efforts. Kempski said, 'QBs can't possibly want him on the field.' Randle played 28 offensive snaps, hauling in one of his three targets for just three yards.
Footballguys view: Has he not seen Randle before? Randle is a player who has always struggled dating back to his college career at LSU. His change of scenery this offseason isn't going to change who he is. The former Giants WR was a disappointment in New York and we're not predicting that to all of a sudden change because he's now in Philadelphia. |

Eagles | Coach impressed with Rueben Randle Fri Aug 5, 05:50 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle has been one of the more impressive players during training camp, according to head coach Doug Pederson.
Footballguys view: The Eagles have an open job or two on the outside. Randle, Chris Givens, Nelson Agholor, and Josh Huff are the candidates to win the spots, but unless the Eagles passing game makes huge strides this year, Jordan Matthews will likely be the only fantasy relevant receiver on the team. |

Eagles | Rueben Randle leaves practice Sat Jul 30, 12:27 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle (cramps) left practice early Saturday, July 30, because he was dealing with cramps.
Footballguys view: Randle needs to get over these cramps and get on the field to impress ASAP. He's never been a consistent player, and we don't expect that to change now that he's with the Eagles. |

Eagles | Rueben Randle the No. 2 receiver? Sun Jul 10, 01:42 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle is listed as the No. 2 wide receiver behind WR Jordan Matthews, with WR Nelson Agholor listed as the No. 3 receiver, according to NJ.com's Eliot Shorr-Parks.
Footballguys view: Randle is not consistent, and we're not expecting that to change now that he's with the Eagles. The former Giants WR has always had natural talent, but drops, injuries and inconsistencies kept him from playing up to his potential. The Doug Pederson offense isn't going to fill the air with footballs, so Randle is a shaky WR7/WR8 for fantasy owners in 2016. |

Eagles | Sam Bradford working out with teammates Wed Jul 6, 06:30 PM
Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is working out with several of his teammates in San Diego leading up to training camp. QBs Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz, RB Darren Sproles, WR Jordan Matthews, Josh Huff, T.J. Graham and Rueben Randle and TE Zach Ertz are among the players participating in the workouts.
Footballguys view: Bradford is doing what he can to build chemistry in this new offense with this group. We're not overly excited by the Doug Pederson offense in Philadelphia, so Bradford should only be considered a QB3 for fantasy owners. He set to be the starter this year as rookie first-round pick Carson Wentz is likely to get a year of development in 2016. However, if Bradford struggles (not a stretch) then we could see the team turn to the rookie sooner than originally planned. |

Eagles | Rueben Randle in lead for WR3 Tue Jun 14, 08:46 AM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle is in the early lead for the Eagles' third receiver spot over WR Chris Givens and WR Josh Huff.
Footballguys view: It's not an exciting offense to be the third option in. The Pederson offense should feed one WR and one TE enough to be fantasy relevant. Anything outside of that in the Eagles passing game may not be worth rostering in most standard-sized leagues. |

Eagles | Chris Givens holding his own Sun Jun 12, 02:58 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Chris Givens has put in a solid offseason so far and could challenge WRs Josh Huff, Nelson Agholor and Rueben Randle for playing time, according to CSNPhilly's Dave Zangaro. Givens is known for his deep-threat ability, but Zangaro said Givens has also impressed with his underneath routes so far.
Footballguys view: Other than Jordan Matthews, we're not crazy about the Eagles WRs...and it's not like we expect Matthews to burn up the charts. Right now, Matthews has a current ADP of WR25 (5.04) in 12-team PPR leagues. We'll be monitoring Givens vs Huff vs Randle as training camp rolls on later this year. |

Eagles | Rueben Randle making impact Tue Jun 7, 11:11 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle is getting a new start after a four-year stay with the New York Giants. The team felt Randle was a loafer and indifferent about football, running poor routes and being late for meetings. It led to benchings during his tenure, despite obvious talent. So far, so good in Philadelphia, as head coach Doug Pederson has liked what he has seen. '(Rueben) has really made an impact this spring,' Pederson said. 'He's a guy that's a big, tall, sort of a smooth receiver that understands what we're asking him to do.'
Footballguys view: Randle needed a fresh start after things went off track during his time with the Giants. We're not blown away by his fantasy potential in a Pederson offense, but he might be able to do enough to fill in during bye weeks as a 'what the heck' flex play. |

Eagles | Rueben Randle out a couple weeks Wed May 25, 03:48 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle (gallbladder) is fine, according to a source, but he is extremely sore and will be out two to three weeks while he recovers from having his gallbladder removed, according to a source.
Footballguys view: That sets his chances to have an impact on the team back quite a bit, as he needs to get more familiar with the offense. He's mired behind Nelson Agholor and Jordan Matthews, so we're not too excited for his prospects. |

Eagles | Rueben Randle has surgery Tue May 24, 10:47 AM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle (gallbladder) is out of practice Tuesday, May 24, due to a recent gallbladder surgery.
Footballguys view: That's not going to help his chances to make the 53-man roster. He never played up to his potential and was wildly inconsistent during his time with the Giants. Randle needs to get healthy and prove that he belongs on the Eagles, but even if he does make the team we're not expecting him to make any sort of fantasy impact. |

Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle is confident that he'll start in his first season with the Eagles this year. Randle said he's familiar with Philadelphia after playing against them for several years and he's excited to showcase his opportunities.
Footballguys view: We're not so sure that Randle will play a large role for the Eagles. With Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor likely to be the top two WRs in 2016, Randle may be competing for the WR3 role. |

Eagles | Rueben Randle agrees to deal with Eagles Wed Mar 23, 05:13 PM
Free-agent WR Rueben Randle (Giants) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Randle's deal has some incentives, but it is a prove it deal, and one that shows little interest in the 2012 second rounder. He'll have a chance to be the Eagles' #3 receiver behind Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor, which can be a decent sized-role if the team uses a lot of three wide sets with Matthews in the slot. |

Free-agent WR Rueben Randle (Giants) visited with the Los Angeles Rams Monday, March 14.

Giants | Rueben Randle not expected back Mon Feb 22, 09:53 AM
New York Giants impending free-agent WR Rueben Randle has about a 15% chance of re-signing with the club, in the opinion of The Star-Ledger's Jordan Raanan. Randle had 71 catches for 938 yards and three touchdowns in 2015. Of the 22 receivers targeted 125 times last season, Randle had the fewest yards and only one receiver had fewer touchdowns.
Footballguys view: The Giants could be interested in someone like Mohamed Sanu to replace Randle. We don't know if Victor Cruz will ever be a shadow of his former self, so the Giants need to find better talent at the position opposite Odell Beckham Jr. |

Giants | Rueben Randle frustrated by role Tue Dec 8, 08:32 PM
New York Giants WR Rueben Randle admitted his frustration with the Giants' offense Tuesday, Dec. 8. 'My opportunities have been cut down a little more,' Randle said. 'It's definitely frustrating. As a receiver you want to get more involved. It can be kind of tough when the opportunities are limited.'
Footballguys view: The Giants go to Odell Beckham Jr. as much as possible--and for good reason. However, mixing in a bit more for Randle wouldn't be a bad move. From a fantasy perspective, we can trust Randle as a WR3/flex play in Week 14 against the Dolphins. |

Giants | Rueben Randle not concerned with injury Mon Nov 9, 05:09 PM
New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (ankle) said his ankle remains a little sore but is better than it has been the last couple of weeks. He is confident the injury won't linger for the rest of the season. 'Probably one more week,' Randle said, 'and then after the bye, hopefully, I'll be where I can go out there and play full speed.'
Footballguys view: Against the Bucs in Week 9, Randle hauled in five passes for 40 yards and one touchdown. If this ankle injury doesn't linger, then he could continue to produce as a WR3/flex play for fantasy owners each week. |

Giants | Rueben Randle should play Sun Nov 8, 10:01 AM
New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) is expected to play in the Week 9 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers even though he is listed as questionable.
Footballguys view: Randle is a boom/bust WR3/Flex. He could benefit from all of the attention Odell Beckham draws plus the matchup against weak Bucs pass defense, but by his own admission, he is not 100%. |

Giants | Rueben Randle questionable Fri Nov 6, 02:22 PM
New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) was limited Friday, Nov. 6, and is questionable for Week 6.
Footballguys view: Randle is set up for a big second half if he can get healthy because defenses are going to be obsessed with a full-speed Odell Beckham. Randle finished strong last year drafting Beckham's slipstream, and he could be solid against a very poor Tampa secondary. A Week 11 bye should help Randle be stronger for the stretch run. |

Updating a previous report, New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 5.

Giants | Rueben Randle to practice Thu Nov 5, 10:33 AM
New York Giants WR Rueben Randle (hamstring) is expected to practice Thursday, Nov. 5.

Giants | Rueben Randle, Victor Cruz absent Wed Nov 4, 05:06 PM
New York Giants WRs Rueben Randle (hamstring) and Victor Cruz (calf) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Footballguys view: If he plays, we see Randle as a borderline WR3/WR4 this week as the Giants should be able to move the ball on Tampa Bay. Randle has consistently seen about 6 or 7 targets, though last week's 9 was a nice surprise. We don't expect a repeat of that, so keep your expectations reasonable. |

Footballguys view: Good! We've been saying all year that Vereen should have a larger role on offense. He can split out wide like a slot receiver, and he's a dangerous runner on draw plays or toss plays to get him into the open field. We like Vereen this week as a RB3 or flex play (PPR leagues) against the Eagles. |
