Summary

White has been a massive disappointment since the Bears made him the #7 overall pick of the 2015 draft, mostly because of injuries. A stress fracture in his leg cost him the 2015 season, and his 2016 season ended in Week 4 after a broken fibula that required surgery. He has been full speed through the offseason program and getting time in with his third wide receiver coach in three years, Zach Azzanni, who was most recently the wide receiver coach and passing game coordinator at the University of Tennessee. His strong suit is athletic ability and tools, but most felt White needed more refinement as a route runner to unlock his potential. He hasn't been able to apply himself to his craft while he has been sidelined, and the Bears mostly used him on simple, short passes last year. White has changed his number from 13 to 11 in an attempt at a reboot. He has a high ceiling if the lightbulb goes on, but we're still waiting. (May 21)

Bears | Kevin White working on basics (Thu May 25, 12:28 AM) - Chicago Bears WR Kevin White has spent the last few months working to align his stride after a stress fracture in his left tibia ruined his rookie season and a left fibular spiral fracture and severe ankle ligament damage cost him 12 games last season, according to the Chicago Tribune's Rich Campbell.

Our View: White has a lot to catch up on after missing his rookie season in 2015. A first-round pick in 2015, White needed to refine his route-running ability coming out of college...and that's still the case. He should be considered a potentially high upside WR5 for fantasy owners. White will compete for targets with Cameron Meredith in the starting lineup.
