Recent Game Summaries

2016 Week 17 vs MIN (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec, 2 / 18 / 0 rush)

Bellamy had a nice gain on an early end around, but otherwise was in the background in this one.

2016 Week 16 vs WAS (2 / 1 / 11 / 0 rec)

Josh Bellamy's bad hands have cost him targets over the past few weeks. Chicago's most prolific pass-dropper only has seen five targets in the past two games after a three-game stretch of seeing 22 targets. Obviously it doesn't help that Alshon Jeffery returned to the field. But it's very obvious that Bellamy's inability to hang onto the football at key moments of the game has put him in the dog house. Deonte Thompson has shown to be a more reliable third-or-fourth receiving option for Matt Barkley.

2016 Week 14 vs DET (7 / 3 / 45 / 0 rec)

Josh Bellamy is an average receiver at best. He drops more passes than he catches, it seems. OK, maybe not, but the balls he does drop always appear to be important. Two weeks ago against Tennessee, Bellamy dropped what would have been a game-winning touchdown in the end zone. Now, Sunday, Bellamy dropped a pass on fourth down that would have moved the Bears into range to try a game-tying field goal late in the fourth quarter. Bellamy finished the game with three catches on seven targets for 45 yards. Even though Bellamy is playing a lot of snaps, he simply cannot be counted on. The moment Alshon Jeffery is back from suspension, Bellamy should be the guy to see fewer snaps.
