Chiefs | Fourteen players cut    Mon Aug 26, 02:42 AM

Kansas City Chiefs backup QB Ricky Stanzi and FB Braden Wilson were among 14 players cut by the team Sunday, Aug. 25. Wilson was the team's sixth-round draft pick just this year, while Stanzi had a following in Kansas City despite limited play. Also cut were WR Terrance Copper, DB Neiko Thorpe, CB's Vincent Agnew, Otha Foster III, and Kamaal McIlwain; OL Ryan Durand, A.J. Hawkins and Hutch Eckerson; DE's Miguel Chavis and Rob Lohr; RB Jordan Roberts; and WR Tyler Shoemaker.

Footballguys view: Stanzi lost out in his competition with Tyler Bray for the QB3 job in Kansas City. He's got a strong arm but his accuracy is poor. Some team may bring him in for a tryout if injuries strike at the QB position.

Chiefs | Jonathan Baldwin seems to be top choice for No. 2 WR job    Thu May 16, 07:37 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jonathan Baldwin appears to be the favorite for the No. 2 wide receiver job at this point but has not emerged as the dominant offseason player like he was last offseason. WRs Donnie Avery, Dexter McCluster and Terrance Copper are also expected to be candidates for the job.

Footballguys view: Baldwin has the skill set to be a top 32 WR in the game today. He's failed to play up to his potential as a pro but he could be re-energized under new head coach Andy Reid. With Dwayne Bowe taking the attention of the defense away the WR2 is going to see plenty of single coverage.

Chiefs | Terrance Copper ruled out     Fri Dec 28, 04:01 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Terrance Copper (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 28, and has been ruled out for Week 17.

Footballguys view: Dynasty alert! We could see more from rookie Devon 'Wiggles' Wylie on Sunday against the Broncos. Coming out of Fresno State Wylie reminded some in the scouting community of Wes Welker.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Brady Quinn (ribs), WR Terrance Copper (hamstring), OG Jon Asamoah (thumb) and SS Eric Berry (hand) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 19.

Footballguys view: Quinn will be the starting QB for the Chiefs this week despite the fact he injured his ribs in week 15. We can't trust anyone in the Chiefs passing game and only see a guy like WR Dexter McCluster as a desperation flex play.

Chiefs | Terrance Copper works with starters    Sat Jun 2, 01:17 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Terrance Copper worked with the first-team offense during organized team activities Friday, June 1, in place of injured WR Jonathan Baldwin (illness).

Footballguys view: Copper is currently working ahead of rookie WRs Devon Wyle and Junior Hemingway on the depth chart. Wylie has incredible talent and should pass Copper on the depth chart in training camp.

Chiefs | Terrance Copper, Jeremy Horne among better special teamers    Fri Oct 21, 08:59 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WRs Terrance Copper and Jeremy Horne have been among the team's better special teams players. Head coach Todd Haley said Friday, Oct. 21, that WR Jonathan Baldwin (thumb), who might be a game-time decision for Week 7, can't make up for what Horne gives the team on special teams. So if Baldwin is to be active, Copper might be the one who sits.

Kansas City Chiefs WRs Jonathan Baldwin (thumb) and Terrance Copper (illness) and SS Jon McGraw (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 7, and are listed as probable for Week 5.

The Kansas City Chiefs kept RB Jackie Battle, WR Terrance Copper, LB Cory Greenwood and S Donald Washington on their final roster because of their ability to contribute on special teams.

Chiefs | Dwayne Bowe and Chris Chambers at top of receiver pecking order    Thu Aug 12, 03:03 AM

Kansas City Chiefs WRs Dwayne Bowe and Chris Chambers are the team's top two receivers in the starting lineup, reports Adam Teicher, of The Kansas City Star. WRs Dexter McCluster and Jerheme Urban are seeing time when the team uses multiple receiver sets, while WR Terrance Copper appears likely to make the team due to his work on special teams.

Footballguys view: This is not a surprise. Don't let it scare you away from McCluster as a late-round flier, he should still get touches as a tailback and wildcat QB, in addition to his work as a slot receiver.

The Kansas City Chiefs have declared OG Andy Alleman, TE Brad Cottam, RB Jamaal Charles, QB Matt Gutierrez, LB Pierre Walters, CB Ricardo Colclough, WR Terrance Copper, QB Tyler Thigpen inactive for Week 2.

Footballguys view: Listing Jamaal Charles inactive is a surprise as he wasn't on this week's injury report. Larry Johnson now gets the bulk of the work against the Raiders. Johnson still doesn't project to much more than a flex play this week.
