Week 12: vs Buffalo Bills
All WR vs BUF
Mark and Joe say: Bad matchup. Alex Smith posted a very Alex-Smith-like 20/25 for 253 yards passing, zero TDs and zero interceptions thrown even on a day when the Chiefs blew past the Chargers 33-3. He found Travis Kelce the most (seven targets for 5/46/0 receiving), also throwing to Charcandrick West (two for 2/48/0), Albert Wilson (four for 4/46/0) and Jeremy Maclin (six for 3/29/0). This is a low-ceiling passing attack, friends.
The Bills average 253.8 net passing yards allowed per game (22nd in the NFL), with 18 passing scores handed out to date, vs. 11 interceptions (tied for eighth in the league) and 15 sacks generated (29th in the NFL). Last week, Tom Brady was limited to just one TD throw, but he wound up with 20/39 for 270 net yards passing (with one interception also thrown). Over the past four weeks (three games), this team is tied for sixth-least in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks (17.4 on average); the most stingy with fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends (just 1.8 per contest); and is in the middle of the league in fantasy points given out to opposing wide receivers (22.6, 14th-most).
This looks like a bad matchup for the Chiefs and their snooze-fest of a passing attack.
