Week 14: vs Oakland Raiders
All WR vs OAK
Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. Back in Week Six, K.C. defeated Oakland 26-10 - Alex Smith threw 19/22 for 224 yards, zero TDs and zero interceptions while taking one sack for -1 yards. Jeremy Maclin (out for several weeks due to a ) led the team in receiving that day with three targets for 3/49/0 receiving - Spencer Ware was second on the team in receiving with two for 2/32/0. There wasn't much action in this phase of the game for the Chiefs back in Week Six.
Alex Smith kept the Chiefs close to Atlanta throughout the game last week, and his defense pulled out a dramatic win at the buzzer - Smith threw 21/25 for 270 yards, one TD and zero interceptions with one sack taken for -4 yards. Travis Kelce handled eight targets for 8/140/0 receiving, while Tyreek Hill was second on the team with six for 5/53/0 receiving. Albert Wilson saw four targets for 4/48/0 receiving and ran in a TD on a fake punt (1/55/1) while Spencer Ware hauled in the lone TD (four targets for 3/23/1 receiving).
Coming into Week 14, there is hope that Jeremy Maclin (groin injury) will be able to go on Thursday vs. the Raiders - he practiced fully on Tuesday, December 6. His return would balance out Hill's presence on the other side of the field.
The Raiders' pass defense averages 264.8 passing yards allowed per game (24th in the NFL) with 20 passing scores given up vs. 11 interceptions (tied for eighth in the NFL) and 21 sacks (tied for 26th) generated to date. They allowed just 18/35 for 170 net yards passing, zero TDs and one interception to the Bills last week (with four sacks for -21 yards); two games ago Cam Newton managed 14/29 for 229 net yards passing, two TDs and one interception (with two sacks taken for -17 yards). From Week 10 to Week 13 of the 2016 season (over the last four weeks, but includes 10 teams on bye during that time span - each team has at least three games played in the last four weeks), Oakland has averaged 20 fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks (17th in the NFL); and 20 fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers (13th-least); with 6.5 fantasy points given up per game to tight ends (14th-least).
This is a neutral matchup for the Chiefs' passing attack.
