He was drafted by the Giants in the fourth round of the 2009 draft, so the brass definitely saw something in him on film as a collegiate back. He has to overcome a torn achilles suffered in 2009 camp that might have permanently robbed him of his upside. |

The Tacoma News-Tribune reports Seattle WR Isaiah Stanback might see time at QB during training camp, which could help him make the final roster. He was a former QB in college for the Washington Huskies. "He can offer some help to do some things if we needed it at the quarterback spot to salvage a few situations," coach Pete Carroll said. Seattle already has three quarterbacks on the depth chart, but Carroll's comment suggests that he might see Stanback as a possible Wildcat QB on occasion. Stanback also has shown that he can return kicks in the league.

Mac Engel, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the team had plays in the Wildcat formation in place last season but did not use them because of an injury to WR Isaiah Stanback, who would have been one of the two players in the backfield. Jones is still interested in using the formation with Stanback and RB Felix Jones in the backfield.
