Week 7: at Pittsburgh Steelers

Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. Arian Foster was up and down during the first month of the season, but has gotten on a roll of late, with 23/157/2 rushing and 2/15/0 receiving at Dallas two weeks ago, and then 20/109/2 rushing and 3/32/0 receiving vs. Indianapolis last week. He is the engine that makes the Texans' offense go, and they are giving him mid-20's in touches consistently now that he's got his hamstring issue back under control. The Steelers' rush D went from stout (15/56/0 rushing allowed to Jacksonville two weeks ago) to sloppy (38/158/3 given up to the Browns' backs last weekend) in a span of two weeks. This up-and-down unit is playing inconsistently vs. opposing rushers, as their 15th-ranked season average indicates (111.2 rushing yards allowed per game, with six rushing scores handed over to date). Foster is building momentum in this phase of the game, while the Steelers' rush D took two steps back last week. On balance, this looks like a neutral matchup for the visiting Texans - Foster could have a big game if the sloppy version of Pittsburgh's D shows up, or he could wind up stymied on Monday Night Football.
