Recent Stats and Projections
Recent Game Summaries
2015 Week 14 vs HOU (0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Chandler wasn't targeted at all with Gronk back in the fold.
2015 Week 13 vs PHI (7 / 4 / 61 / 1 rec)
Chandler mixed the good with the bad, as usual. He had a nice contested catch early in the game, and did score a touchdown on a corner route. He also helped James White score his touchdown, as Chandler was a focal point by the defense in the red zone due to his size. However, he mixed in his usual dropsies here and there. Until Gronk is healthy, he's the guy, for better or for worse.
2015 Week 12 vs DEN (11 / 5 / 58 / 1 rec)
Scott Chandler played a big role against the Broncos with all the injuries to the Patriots receiving corps. If Rob Gronkowski is out for an extended period, this role becomes even bigger. Chandler started off the game slowly, dropping two passes and getting benched for a few plays. However, he made some critical catches, particularly on the final drive of regulation. Chandler's touchdown was a simple straight line with shoddy zone coverage.
2015 Week 11 vs BUF (2 / 1 / 3 / 0 rec)
Scott Chandler may be forced to play more snaps in the future because of injury. Against the Bills, however, he was next to useless.
2015 Week 10 vs NYG (3 / 1 / 1 / 1 rec)
The good news was Chandler's easy short touchdown catch off play action at the goal line. The bad news was his drop of a deep ball that most receivers should catch with ease. Once again, Chandler played a limited role in the passing game.
2015 Week 7 vs NYJ (2 / 2 / 34 / 0 rec)
Chandler did have a big catch of 26 yards in 1 on 1 coverage, but beyond that, he only played a handful of snaps.
2015 Week 6 vs IND (3 / 2 / 39 / 0 rec)
Chandler's most notable play was an offensive pass interference call in the endzone that would have been a touchdown in his hands. Beyond that, he had a big gain of 25 yards, but not much else.
2015 Week 2 vs BUF (5 / 3 / 23 / 0 rec)
Though it was a revenge game and he saw 2 endzone targets, Scott Chandler wasn't able to do much with his opportunities. One of the targets in the endzone could have been a touchdown, but Chandler bobbled it enough to let a defender knock the ball away.
2015 Week 1 vs PIT (1 / 1 / 1 / 1 rec)
Though Chandler wasn't targeted much, he did see a target on the 1 that led to a touchdown. Chandler ran a flat route, caught the ball on the 1, and reached over the goal line while getting tackled to barely score. Chandler will likely be inconsistent over the years in terms of stats, but has a role on the team for sure.
Latest NewsJets | Scott Chandler could interest Jets (Sat Jan 30, 05:58 PM) - New England Patriots TE Scott Chandler could interest the New York Jets if he's cut as he put up good numbers with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and offensive coordinator Chan Gailey with the Buffalo Bills. Our View: The Jets have to find better answers at the tight end position. Guys like Jace Amaro and Zach Sudfeld aren't the answer, but a guy like Chandler could be. Chandler has a big frame and can box out smaller defenders for the football. We'll see if he's available this offseason.
