Updating a previous report, the Carolina Panthers officially signed free-agent WR Brenton Bersin on Wednesday, Nov. 1. He takes the roster spot of recently traded WR Kelvin Benjamin.
| Footballguys view: We're not sure what the Panthers are doing at wide receiver, but it seems sketchy. Of course, nobody expects Bersin to replace Benjamin - that is Devin Funchess' job. Still it was a thin corps of wide receivers before the team traded Benjamin, thinner when they did and this addition didn't help the situation. |
