Green Bay Packers DE Muhammad Wilkerson (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Sept. 29. The team also signed practice squad CB Tony M. Brown to their active roster. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: Wilkerson signed with the Packers on a one-year deal and he was playing well for them before this injury. He'll turn 30-years old during the 2019 season and may find it difficult to latch on with another team...unless he signs a 'prove it' deal like he did this year.

Footballguys view: It's a big loss for the Packers defense...and it's bad news for Wilkerson's future. He was playing on a one-year deal in 2018 with the hope to find a new long-term deal. Wilkerson will be 29-years old next month and could struggle to find a landing spot in 2019.

Packers | Muhammad Wilkerson receives bonus    Thu Jul 26, 10:35 AM

Green Bay Packers DE Muhammad Wilkerson received a $1 million reporting bonus Wednesday, July 25, which was the largest such bonus in the league.

Footballguys view: There's a risk here because last time Wilkerson got paid, he fell apart. The Packers are hoping a new place will bring him back to where he was prior to that Jets contract and given he is playing for a new contract again, we think he will have an improved season, though short of his big 2013.

Packers | Muhammad Wilkerson eyes return to form     Fri Mar 23, 10:09 PM

Green Bay Packers DE Muhammad Wilkerson said he is ready to return to his 'dominant play' this season. 'I know what type of player I'm capable of being, and I'm just ready to do it at a new place, a new organization and a new group of guys,' Wilkerson said.

Footballguys view: A first-round pick with the Jets in 2011, Wilkerson had a falling out with that team and a fresh start was needed. He gets to now play for the Packers and their new DC Mike Pettine. Wilkerson has experience playing under Pettine from their days with the Jets and he was incredibly productive (and disruptive) under the veteran coach's guidance.

Chiefs | KC to talk with Muhammad Wilkerson    Thu Mar 8, 07:04 PM

Free-agent DE Muhammad Wilkerson (Jets) is scheduled to meet with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Footballguys view: Wilkerson was productive when he was hungry. Given that he has to prove himself after a somewhat disastrous end to his tenure on the Jets, the team who signs him may get a very productive player. There's certainly a risk factor though.

Saints | Muhammed Wilkerson to meet with NO    Thu Mar 8, 06:35 PM

Free-agent DE Muhammad Wilkerson (Jets) is scheduled to meet with the New Orleans Saints, according to sources.

Footballguys view: We're curious to see what a team will give Wilkerson, considering the fact that we know he has a lot of upside, but last time he got a big contract is play went south. The Saints could use a defensive lineman like him, at the right price.
