Kansas City Chiefs CB DeMarcus Van Dyke will have to show he can handle man-press coverage in order to make the roster, and CB David Van Dyke could be headed for the practice squad as he attempts to make the transition from safety to cornerback.
| Footballguys view: The cousins have dreamed of playing together at any level, and now they get their chance. It seems like there's only one spot available at the time, so playing on the same team may not come to fruition when final cuts are being made. DeMarcus has the experience advantage as he was a third-round pick by the Oakland Raiders in 2011. David was an undrafted rookie out of Tennessee State this year and might be better suited to land on the practice squad this year. |

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said there have been too many penalties on special teams this season and issued a warning Tuesday, Oct. 23, to repeat offenders. 'To be quite honest with you, the multiple offenders and egregious offenders are going to be watching as opposed to playing as soon as we get some options as to who plays and who doesn't,' Tomlin said. 'Right now, with injuries, we have minimal options.' CB DeMarcus Van Dyke, in particular, has three holding penalties in the past two games, plus an earlier penalty for going out of bounds while playing a punt.
