The New York Giants are interested in bringing back impending free-agent CB Walter Thurmond (pectoral), but it appears the sides are far apart. The team would likely to bring him back somewhere closer to the minimum salary after he tore a pectoral muscle in the second game last season, and they do not want to risk $3 million again. He is likely to test the open market.

New York Giants CB Zackary Bowman (abdomen) was not at practice Thursday, Nov. 6, due to what is being reported as a lower abdominal issue. The team recently lost CB Prince Amukamara to a torn biceps, while CBs Walter Thurmond, Trumaine McBride and Bennett Jackson are already on Reserve/Injured.
| Footballguys view: The Giants secondary is a dumpster fire right now, save for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. We expect the Seahawks to run the ball a lot but there might be some value in the passing game as well. Doug Baldwin (groin) is a solid WR3, Jermaine Kearse is an upside play as a WR5 and Luke Willson is a hail mary TE3, though the Giants get torched by tight ends. Russell Wilson is in "game manager" mode at this time, so he's no more than a QB2. |
