DE Michael Bennett (non-injury), OT Lane Johnson (knee) and DT Haloti Ngata (knee) were limited in practice Friday, Nov. 16, but did not appear on the injury report. S Malcolm Jenkins (wrist), CB Sidney Jones (hamstring) participated fully in practice Friday and also have been removed from the injury report.

Footballguys view: Jones returning is the rare piece of good news for the Eagles secondary. He'll be tested with two other starters out against Drew Brees this weekend.

Detroit Lions DT Haloti Ngata said he still loves playing football and intends to play in 2017 even though he will turn 33 years old next month.

Footballguys view: Ngata is getting up there, but he's got one year left on his contract and he can still be a solid run-defender for the Lions. In 2017, Ngata has a cap hit of $7.75 million, but the Lions could save a little over $5.7 million if they let him go. Perhaps a re-negotiated deal will keep him on the team.

Footballguys view: This upgrades the whole Houston offense today. Alfred Blue and Lamar Miller will split work in the backfield, but both are worth at least flex plays.

Footballguys view: Justin Forsett and Zach Zenner will split the work in the backfield, but both are just desperation plays. Golden Tate and Anquan Boldin should see more targets with Ebron and Riddick out. Ngata will be missed with the Lions facing Todd Gurley this week.

Detroit Lions LB DeAndre Levy (knee, quadriceps) and DT Haloti Ngata (shoulder) have been ruled out for Week 6. DE Ziggy Ansah (ankle), FS Don Carey (ribs), DT A'Shawn Robinson (shoulder), OG Laken Tomlinson (neck) and OG Larry Warford (hip) are listed as questionable. Levy, Ngata and Warford did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 14. Ansah, Robinson and Tomlinson were limited, while Carey fully participated in practice.

Footballguys view: Ansah should return to the lineup this week, but the Lions will swap him out with Ngata, a force in the middle of the defensive line that will be missed going up against Todd Gurley and the Rams running game.
