Summary

In NFL terms, few defensive players are better than Fletcher Cox. He's got prototypical size, makes smart decisions, and can play anywhere on the defensive line. He's the perfect engine for Jim Schwartz' defense. In fantasy terms, his value is lessened because he plays inside most of the time, and the Eagles use a deep line rotation. A few years ago Cox was a top-tier IDP asset because he was putting up 50 tackles to go with a solid sack total. Now he projects more as a 25-30 tackle player but can still get 8-10 sacks over a 16-game season. In leagues requiring defensive tackle slots specifically, Cox still has early round value. In leagues that just use defensive line designations, he's more of a secondary player on draft day. (August 9)
