Bills | IK Enemkpali has a big chance    Tue Jun 21, 01:08 AM

Buffalo Bills LB IK Enemkpali has worked with the first-team defense in offseason practice and he might push LB Manny Lawson for a starting job.

Footballguys view: Enemkpali is mainly known as the former Jets player who broke Geno Smith's jaw, but he may have a chance to rush the passer often for the Bills in 2016. During the team's recent minicamp, Enemkpali was getting by blockers with inside and outside pass-rush moves.

Bills | IK Enemkpali suspended    Thu Sep 10, 10:18 AM

Buffalo Bills DE IK Enemkpali was suspended between four and six games for violating the NFL personal conduct policy, according to sources. Enemkpali was involved in a locker room altercation with New York Jets QB Geno Smith. Enemkpali is appealing.

Footballguys view: Probably why he was released. We wonder if his defense will be, 'It's Geno Smith. Who HASN'T wanted to hit him?' which might work with some Jets fans but not as much with the NFL itself.

Jets | Geno Smith punched over $600    Wed Aug 12, 08:36 AM

Updating a previous report, New York Jets QB Geno Smith (jaw) was punched in the face by former Jets LB IK Enemkpali because of a dispute over money. Enemkpali accepted a $600 plane ticket from Enemkpali to appear at his football camp in Pflugerville, Texas, on July 11, according to sources. Smith didn't show up to the camp, which took place days after someone close to Smith was killed in a motorcycle accident in Miami. After Smith did not attend, Enemkpali demanded that Smith refund him the $600 he allegedly used to purchase the plane ticket. Smith told Enemkpali he would reimburse him the money, but he had not as of Tuesday, Aug. 11. Enkempali confronted Smith about the money, and the confrontation ended in a punch and a broken jaw. A source familiar with the situation told ESPN's Josina Anderson that at the start of camp, Smith approached Enemkpali, sensing tension between the two. The source said Smith confronted Enemkpali, tried to diffuse the situation and offered to pay Enemkpali the $600.
