News you need to know

Week 9: at Kansas City Chiefs
Mark and Joe say: Bad matchup. The Jets will send Michael Vick into the grinder this week as their new starting quarterback, but he has shown little to inspire confidence in the way of an instant upgrade for New York. 26/56 (a 46.4 completion percentage) for 200 yards passing, zero TDs and one interception thrown, with 12/92/0 rushing over six games appeared in to date. To make things even worse, this weekend the Jets' offense has to operate within deafening Arrowhead Stadium - where the Chiefs' pass rushers take special advantage of the roaring crowd and make life miserable for opposing passers (of the three opposing quarterbacks to visit Arrowhead this season, only Jake Locker won or had more than one passing TD, with two thrown). Tom Brady had his meltdown in Arrowhead (14/23 for 159 yards passing, one TD and two interceptions thrown, with two sacks taken for -8 yards), and Austin Davis was harassed to 15/25 for 116 net yards passing, one TD and one interception, with seven sacks taken for -44 yards last weekend). The Jets have given up 22 sacks already this year, 27th in the NFL, and figure to hike that total dramatically with a rusty Vick under center this weekend. This is an awful matchup for fantasy owners. Stay far away if at all possible.
