Recent Game Summaries

2016 Week 12 vs JAX (1 / 1 / 1 / 0 rec)

Walter Powell's sole target of the game was on third down. Tyrod Taylor flipped over a short 1 yard pass on 3rd and 2 but Powell could not get away from the defender for the extra necessary yard.

2016 Week 9 vs SEA (1 / 1 / 9 / 0 rec)

Walter Powell most significant impact on the game was a "block in the back" penalty call while the Bills were trying to drive at the end of the 1st half. He was inconsequential otherwise.

2016 Week 8 vs NE (8 / 3 / 59 / 0 rec)

Walter Powell had the best game of his uneventful career. He received the most targets against the Patriots because of all the injuries to the skill positions. For the most part, Powell had a good game with most of the incompletions a result of overthrown balls. He managed to haul in a few bullets and had a highlight catch on a poor Manuel throw during which Powell was laid out. Powell did drop a great Manuel throw late in the game but it didn't affect the game. As Robert Woods and LeSean McCoy heal, Powell's role will most likely diminish again.

2016 Week 7 vs MIA (4 / 2 / 23 / 0 rec)

Walter Powell had an endzone target but the ball was overthrown. With so many injures in the Bills' receiving corps, he has a chance to make some plays. But Powell has shown nothing thus far.

2016 Week 4 vs NE (5 / 4 / 22 / 0 rec)

Walter Powell has been bumped up the depth chart with the absence of Sammy Watkins. Unfortunately for Powell, his stat line would have looked a lot better if Tyrod Taylor had not overthrown a possible touchdown pass. A minor player in WR corps right now, Powell does have the opportunity to push anyone else out of the way if he can play well.

2016 Week 3 vs ARI (5 / 3 / 28 / 0 rec)

Walter Powell stepped up from a bench spot to make a few good plays and put the Bills in good positions. His best play of the night was an awesome sideline tiptoe catch but Powell had apparently went out of bounds before the reception so it was called back. He will likely fade back onto the bench when Watkins and Salas come back but it was a good showing for him.
