Cardinals | Yeremiah Bell not expected to return Sat Mar 8, 10:48 PM
Arizona Cardinals impending free-agent SS Yeremiah Bell is unlikely to be back with the team, as the team seeks an upgrade at strong safety, ideally with a big, physical player who can still cover tight ends. Bell struggled in that area last season, which was a major weakness for an otherwise strong defensive unit.

Jets | Greg McElroy provided a spark Mon Dec 3, 07:50 AM
New York Jets QB Greg McElroy didn't do anything spectacular in relief of QB Mark Sanchez in Week 13, completing five of seven passes for 29 yards and a touchdown, but he provided a lift. 'You could definitely feel a spark in the stadium,' SS Yeremiah Bell said.
Footballguys view: Jets fans were elated when Sanchez was benched. McElroy is a good leader and is a tough player who leaves it all out on the field. He is limited as a passer but may get a chance to be the starter now that is seems the Jets are ready to move on from Sanchez. |

Jets | Yeremiah Bell thinks safeties can cover Pats TEs Wed Aug 1, 05:32 PM
New York Jets SS Yeremiah Bell said he believes he and FS LaRon Landry can cover New England Patriots TEs Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. 'They're good tight ends,' Bell told me after practice on Wednesday. 'You don't want to take any credit away from those guys. But we're good safeties. They're just people. We can go out there and we can cover those guys. We can do what needs to be done. I don't think it's a mismatch either way.'
Footballguys view: The Jets might lack some things on the field, but confidence and braggadocio is not one of them. |
