Free-agent TE John Phillips (Cardinals) signed an undisclosed contract with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, May 20, according to a source. DB Dontae Johnson was released to make room for him on the roster.
| Footballguys view: Phillips is a seasoned veteran who has been around the block. A sixth-round pick out of Virginia in the 2009 NFL draft, this will be the sixth team Phillips has been a part of. He's a big-bodied blocker with a single season career high of 15 catches back in 2011 when he was with the Cowboys. Phillips will block for the Chiefs and is not a fantasy factor whatsoever. |
