Recent Game Summaries
2019 Week 16 vs DET (2 / 2 / 13 / 0 rec)
Heuerman worked as the number two tight end. He made a nice diving catch between two defenders in the 2nd quarter for a seven yard gain. Lock hit him on a curl route for another short gain late in the 4th quarter.
2019 Week 15 vs KC (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Heuerman worked as the number two tight end, but still drew only one target with Noah Fant missing the 2nd quarter. Heuerman couldn't reel in a deep post route in the 3rd quarter. Fullback/Tight End Andrew Beck hauled in 2 of 3 targets and is starting to look like a better option than Heuerman in the passing game. Backup TE Fumagalli also had a catch.
2019 Week 14 vs HOU (1 / 1 / 8 / 1 rec)
Heuerman worked as the number 2 tight end and made his only target count, scoring in the 2nd quarter on an easy out route from Lock.
2019 Week 13 vs LAC (5 / 3 / 15 / 0 rec)
Heuerman returned from a knee injury to draw just enough targets to kill Noah Fant's fantasy value. Heuerman pulled in a crossing route to convert 3rd down late in the 1st quarter. He picked up another 3rd down conversion late in the 4th quarter with an out route from the slot.
2019 Week 8 vs IND (1 / 1 / 11 / 0 rec)
Heuerman had a nice catch in stride on a skinny post from Flacco at the end of the 1st quarter. He went down with a knee injury before halftime and did not return.
2019 Week 5 vs LAC (3 / 1 / 26 / 0 rec)
Heuerman got open down the seam for a 26 yard gain on a play action pass to start the game. He was targeted once more in the 3rd quarter, but had the pass batted away by a defender.
2019 Week 3 vs GB (2 / 2 / 20 / 0 rec)
Heuerman saw plenty of snaps, but wasn't very involved in the passing game. He caught a short slant route for a 10 yard gain in the 1st quarter. He made another tough catch on a short curl route while breaking a tackle for a minimal gain in the 3rd quarter.
2019 Week 2 vs CHI (5 / 4 / 21 / 0 rec)
Heuerman saw plenty of snaps in two TE sets with Fant. He drew five targets but wasn't able to get much going with his receptions. He had a short gain up the right seam in the 1st quarter, and then followed up with another short out route a couple of plays later. Heuerman got smacked hard on an out route that came up just short on 3rd and 5 later in the 1st. He collected one more short curl route early in the 3rd quarter.
