Recent Game Summaries

2016 Week 17 vs OAK (4 / 2 / 21 / 0 rec)

Heuerman was targeted on Denver's first offensive snap of the game, hauling in a 19 yard gain over the middle. He secured his only other target of the day later in the 1st half for a minimal gain. AJ Derby, acquired from the Patriots mid-season and out week 17 with a concussion, looks to be the future for the Broncos as a pass catching-tight end.

2016 Week 16 vs KC (6 / 3 / 32 / 0 rec)

Heuerman saw the most action of his young career with Virgil Green and AJ Derby sidelined. He caught his first target, an out route on the Broncos' first offensive drive, for a 1st down on 3rd and 8. Heuerman picked up another 10 yards on a crossing route early in the 2nd quarter. Heuerman picked up another nice gain on a streak route down the seam late in the 2nd quarter.

2016 Week 15 vs NE (4 / 2 / 40 / 0 rec)

Heuerman picked up extra snaps and targets after Virgil Green left with a concussion early in the 1st quarter. He could not secure his first target, an overthrown out route. Heuerman got open down the numbers two plays later for a gain of 31 yards, and an out route for 9 on the next play. He was quiet during the 2nd half, primarily blocking when in the game.

2016 Week 4 vs TB (1 / 1 / 19 / 0 rec)

Heuerman got the start in place of the injured Virgil Green and secured his only unflagged target for a nice gain on a deep post route. He lined up in-line with his hand in the dirt before beating the safety for a gain of 19. He also drew a pass interference call in the end zone in the 2nd quarter while being targeted on a corner route.

2016 Week 3 vs CIN (1 / 1 / 29 / 0 rec)

Heuerman and John Phillips picked up the slack at tight end, where starter Virgil Green was out with a calf injury. Heuerman recorded his first NFL catch late in the 4th, splitting out wide right and running a deep crossing route, where Siemian found him for a big 29 yard gain to set up Demaryius Thomas's touchdown catch.
