Dallas Cowboys FB Jed Collins was released Monday, May 18, and FB Tyler Clutts was re-signed to an undisclosed contract.

Owens is more of a hybrid player who excels on special teams. He likely needs to set himself apart in that role or risk not making the final roster, as he doesn't fit the traditional blocking fullback role like Collins.

That means TE John Gilmore, FB Jed Collins, FB Korey Hall and OT/TE Pat McQuistan saw their most extensive playing time of the season. Collins even scored a rushing touchdown. Gilmore saw a season-high 36 snaps, while Collins was in on 46 of the team's 75 offensive snaps.
