Week 16: vs Atlanta Falcons

Mark and Joe say: Great matchup. Back during Week 1, Drew Brees lit up the Falcons' secondary for 29/42 yielding 333 net yards passing, one TD and one interception thrown (zero sacks taken) in a preview of how the Falcons' pass D would function in most games this year. Marques Colston (eight targets for 5/110/0 receiving), Brandin Cooks (eight for 7/77/1) and Jimmy Graham (10 for 8/82/0) would handle most of Bree's passes that day. Cooks is now on IR, so his role has been filled by Kenny Stills (seven targets for 5/67/0 receiving at Chicago last week). Jimmy Graham (seven for 5/87/0), Marques Colston (seven for 5/65/1) and Pierre Thomas (five for 5/83/0) were the other main receivers for Brees (29/36 for 375 net yards, three TDs and zero interceptions at Chicago) last Monday Night, though Josh Hill (two for 2/15/2) hauled in a pair of TDs during the blowout win over Chicago. The Saints' offense seems to be on track entering the final two weeks of regular season Meanwhile, Alanta's pass D is in shreds entering Week 16, having allowed 27/35 for 353 net yards passing to Ben Reothlisberger last week, after coughing up 24/36 for 323 net yards, three TDs and zero interceptions thrown (with one sack taken for -4 yards) to Aaron Rodgers and company. This defensive unit is on life-support entering Week 10, friends. Advantage, New Orleans.
