Once a sleeper prospect in certain fantasy circles when he was with the Chiefs, Thompson spent most of 2021 on the Buccaneers practice squad. Kansas City Chiefs QB Chad Henne completed 23 of his 32 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-21 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 17. RB Darwin Thompson rushed 14 times for 45 yards and a touchdown and caught all seven of his targets for 65 yards and a score. WR Demarcus Robinson hauled in six passes for 58 yards, WR Byron Pringle caught four balls for 52 yards and a touchdown, and WR Mecole Hardman had a pair of receptions for 25 yards and lost a fumble. LB Darius Harris led the team with 10 tackles, and CB DeAndre Baker finished with five tackles, a sack and pass defensed.
