Week 7: vs Baltimore Ravens

All TE vs BAL

FBG says: Tough matchup. In relief of Sam Bradford, Case Keenum continues to lead a sanitized passing game, one that lacks in dynamite but tends to get the job done. Keenum has completed 64.2% of his passes, with just 1 interception across 159 throws. That said, the upside here is capped, especially with Stefon Diggs out. Keenum isn't going downfield much; he threw 15+ yards just 6 times in Week 6, just 16% of his attempts. Altogether, he's reached 240 yards only once over 5 extended appearances - that was also the only game in which he's thrown multiple touchdowns. We can rely on solid volume outlooks for two of his receivers, at least. With Diggs out, targets will generally be concentrated to slot man Adam Thielen and tight end Kyle Rudolph. Thielen, in particular, matches up well with the Ravens secondary, which is soft on the inside and loses frequently up the seams. But until Diggs returns, there's not much else to look at here for fantasy purposes. By raw numbers, the Ravens pass defense has been stout thus far, But those numbers have been padded by a mega-soft schedule - they've faced Andy Dalton, DeShone Kizer, Blake Bortles, Ben Roethlisberger, E.J. Manuel, and Mitchell Trubisky - and there are definitely exploitable cracks here. The unit is cornerback-heavy, boasting strong coverage skills on the boundaries but struggling against the throws then funneled inside. The safeties and slot man Ladarius Webb have played poorly all season, while the linebackers lack the athleticism and coverage chops to handle the short zones. As a result, opposing backs and slot targets have produced a number of chunk plays, and productive inside receivers - like the incoming Adam Thielen - could have a field day on any given week.
