Free-agent WR Maurice Purify (Bengals) signed with the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks Tuesday, July 12. Purify, a former University of Nebraska standout, played in five NFL games with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2009.

Joe Reedy, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Maurice Purify is having a strong week of practices. Purify finished the team's mock game Saturday, Aug. 8, with three receptions for 63 yards.
| Footballguys view: Purify looked like a man among boys at times during his college career at Nebraska. He will have a tough time making the final 53 man roster because the Bengals are deep at WR, but he is still a name to remember in deep dynasty leagues if his development continues without any of the character issues that plagued him in college. |
