Summary

Rey is in a situation very similar to that of Anthony Hitchens in Dallas. Both serve as their team's top backup in the event of an injury to any starting linebacker. Both are versatile enough to hold a three down role if called upon. Both put up good box score production when given the opportunity. And both are having a difficult time cracking the starting lineup. Rey should start at middle linebacker while Vontaze Burfict serves his three game suspension. When Burfict returns, Karlos Dansby may move inside sending Rey to the bench or relegating him to a sub package role like the one he held for much of last season. If he can find a way to stay on the field Rey can be a strong third starter for owners in twelve team leagues starting three linebackers. (May 27)
