Quick fantasy outlook: In 12 games last year, Simpson managed just 26 receptions for 274 yards and no TDS. With Michael Jenkins moving on, Simpson will begin the season as the #2 option so those numbers have a chance to increase a bit. However, rookie Cordarrelle Patterson is a solid talent, and the Vikings didn't spend a 1st round pick to have him sit the bench. Patterson is going to push Simpson for playing time, and should pass him up by mid season at the latest. As the #3 or #4 receiving option on a team that only throws for about 3000 yards a season, that doesn't leave a lot of opportunities for Simpson to produce from a fantasy prospective.
