Bills | Eight signed    Tue Dec 31, 10:36 AM

The Buffalo Bills signed OT Jamaal Johnson-Webb, DE Jacquies Smith, DE Ikponmwosa Igbinosun (Cowboys), DB Mario Butler, CB Brandon Burton, WR Brandon Kaufman, QB Dennis Dixon (Eagles) and OT Edwan Coughman to reserve/future contracts.

Footballguys view: Kaufman is a big receiver with good hands, and Dixon is a dual threat quarterback who can be a better #3 than Jeff Tuel if he improves as a passer.

Bills | 14 players released    Fri Aug 30, 06:41 PM

The Buffalo Bills have released RB Zachary Brown, OG Antoine Caldwell, OG Zach Chibane, FS Jordan Dangerfield, TE Dorin Dickerson, CB Kip Edwards, RB Kendall Gaskins, DE Jarron Gilbert, CB T.J. Heath, WR Brandon Kaufman, LB Keith Pough, TE Nick Provo, LB Brian Smith and C David Snow.

Footballguys view: Tashard Choice survived a bid by Brown and Gaskins for his roster spot, but that he was pushed by backs with no NFL experience or draft pedigree shows where he is at in his career.

Bills | Chris Hogan moving up depth chart    Wed Aug 21, 11:28 PM

Buffalo Bills WR Chris Hogan appears to have moved up the depth chart, past WRs Marcus Easley, Brandon Kaufman and Da'Rick Rogers, to move on to the roster bubble.

Footballguys view: Interesting note here for fantasy owners in super deep dynasty leagues. Hogan is an intriguing prospect and we're seeing that UDFA Da'Rick Rogers isn't playing up to expectations. Footwork and consistency are hallmarks for Hogan, and he's standing out to the coaching staff.

NFL | WRs run 40-yard dash at combine    Sun Feb 24, 08:36 PM

Louisiana Tech WR Quinton Patton posted a time of 4.53 seconds in the 40-yard dash Sunday, Feb. 23, at the NFL Scouting Combine. Elon WR Aaron Mellette and Cincinnati WR Kenbrell Thompkins posted a 4.54-second time, while Kansas State WR Chris Harper checked in at 4.55 seconds. Virginia Tech WR Marcus Davis managed 4.56 seconds, while Clemson's DeAndre Hopkins was clocked at 4.57 seconds. South Carolina WR Ace Sanders had a time of 4.58 seconds, while Syracuse WR Alec Lemon and Jacksonville State WR Alan Bonner finished at 4.59 seconds. Southern Methodist WR Darius Johnson checked in at 4.60 seconds, while Eastern Washington WR Brandon Kaufman had a time of 4.67 seconds. Duke WR Conner Vernon was good for 4.68 seconds, and Missouri WR T.J. Moe rounded out the group with a time of 4.74 seconds.

Footballguys view: Moe's result is poor, but expected. He had the best 3-cone and short shuttle time, which underscores his future role as a Welker/Amendola type slot receiver.
