The Pittsburgh Steelers signed free-agent WR Danny Coale (Steelers) to their practice squad Thursday, Jan. 1. The team also placed WR Tim Benford (undisclosed) on the practice squad Reserve/Injured list.
| Footballguys view: Coale was a fifth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2012 NFL draft. He's bounced around the league since then, spending time with the Cowboys, Colts and now the Steelers. He's a good underneath receiver because of his quickness and agility after the catch. |

Dallas Cowboys WR Danny Coale (knee) has swelling in his left knee that kept him out of practice Monday, July 22. Coale said the swelling was not unexpected after having knee surgery last season. "Did I want it to happen? Obviously not," Coale said. "It's just part of coming back from an ACL," he said. "It's a little swollen. Just have to be cautious with it. It'll go down. I'll be out there soon."
