Ravens | Jameel McClain activated Sat Oct 19, 02:52 PM
The Baltimore Ravens have activated LB Jameel McClain (neck) and released TE Billy Bajema.
Footballguys view: The Ravens get even stronger at the linebacker position here. McClain is coming back to be a reserve player for the Ravens. He gives them veteran depth at the linebacker position, plus he can play special teams. McClain's role will be situational as he returns from this serious injury. |

Ravens | Brandon Stokley cut Sat Oct 5, 03:21 PM
The Baltimore Ravens have released WR Brandon Stokley and re-signed TE Billy Bajema.

Ravens | Tight ends not receiving looks Mon Sep 16, 11:09 AM
Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco targeted tight ends just three times in Week 2. TEs Billy Bajema and Dallas Clark each had one reception, and TE Ed Dickson had the other target.
Footballguys view: The Ravens were upset with the play of their tight ends in Week 1. We saw a clear emphasis on other positions in Week 2 and fantasy owners thinking guys like Dickson or Clark would have value are sorely mistaken. |

Ravens | One re-signed Wed Sep 4, 10:54 AM
The Baltimore Ravens re-signed TE Billy Bajema. TE Dennis Pitta (hip) was placed on Injured Reserve designated to return.
Footballguys view: Pitta will be able to return later in the year (eligible in week 9) but may not be ready until the final month of the season. The Ravens want to see if he can contribute in 2013 as they make another push for the playoffs. If you have an incredibly deep bench then stash Pitta away as a lottery ticket pick. |

Ravens | Seven players released Sat Aug 31, 11:19 AM
The Baltimore Ravens have released WR Tandon Doss, RB Bobby Rainey, TE Billy Bajema, TE Matt Furstenburg, OT Joe Unga, DT Cody Larsen and FS Omar Brown.
Footballguys view: Rainey just doesn't have what it takes to make an impact at the pro level. By cutting Rainey the Ravens are down to only two running backs (Ray Rice, Bernard Pierce) on the roster. Doss was outplayed by veteran Brandon Stokley in camp. He may find catching on with another team difficult. |

Ravens | Visanthe Shiancoe to compete for backup job Mon Jul 29, 01:12 PM
Baltimore Ravens TE Visanthe Shiancoe is expected to compete with TEs Billy Bajema, Matt Furstenburg and Alex Silvestro for the backup tight end job to TE Ed Dickson.
Footballguys view: Shiancoe is not the same player he used to be but gives the Ravens more veteran depth at the TE position. Bajema is a better blocker but Shiancoe may be able to impress as a receiver in training camp. |

Ravens | Three expected to compete for No. 3 TE job Wed Jul 17, 04:23 PM
Baltimore Ravens TEs Billy Bajema, Alex Silvestro and Matt Furstenburg will be competing for the No. 3 tight end job during training camp.
Footballguys view: Bajema could have an edge in the competition because it is mostly a blocking role and he has experience as a blocker. The main factor as to who wins the job may come down to which player performs the best on special teams. We'll see Dennis Pitta and Ed Dickson as the two primary TEs for the Ravens in 2013. |

Rams | TEs Bajema or Onobun on hot seat? Sun May 8, 07:03 PM
Cecil Lammey, NFL Insider for FRSN and senior writer at Footballguys.com, reports via Twitter that sources tell him the addition of TE Lance Kendricks could push either Billy Bajema or Fendi Onobun off the roster.
Footballguys view: Bajema is a consistent veteran who provides the team with quality depth. Onobun (the former basketball star) has higher upside, but work ethic questions and injuries have held back his young pro career. |

Rams | Billy Bajema will not be free agent Wed Feb 16, 02:42 PM
St. Louis Rams TE Billy Bajema will not be a free agent this offseason because he did not reach all of the incentives in his contract that would void the 2011 season in his contract, reports Mike Sando, of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: Bajema provided valuable depth for the Rams at the TE position when injuries hit that position last year. |

St. Louis Rams TE Billy Bajema scored two touchdowns in Week 12 against the Denver Broncos after failing to score a TD in his first six NFL seasons, reports Billy Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Footballguys view: Sam Bradford has thrown seven TDs to his ragtag bunch of TEs this year, so it's not out of the question that Bajema could have value down the stretch. |

Rams | McMichael not getting many snaps in two TE sets Wed Aug 12, 02:29 PM
Mike Sando, of ESPN.com, reports that Billy Najema and Daniel Fells have been getting more work in two TE sets than Randy McMichael. Sando writes, "The Rams are not limiting McMichael for any reason, though the tight end wouldn't mind getting more reps, (head coach Steve) Spagnuolo said."
Footballguys view: McMichael is not the best blocking TE, so this could be part of the reason why he is not often in that run-friendly set. We like him as a deep sleeper TE this year, but this report takes some of the shine away from his sleeper status. |
