Week 16: at Oakland Raiders
Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. The old war horse Fred Jackson has worked his way back to health, and is now the featured back for the Bills, with 20/71/0 rushing and 3/27/0 receiving during the upset of Green Bay last weekend. This, compared to 6/26/0 rushing and 1/5/0 receiving for Anthony Dixon, and 4/20/0 rushing with 1/40/0 receiving to Bryce Brown's credit, illustrates the lions' share of the work at running back is flowing to Jackson here in December.
The Raiders' rush D has averaged 125.4 rushing yards allowed per game (25th in the NFL) and one TD allowed per game (14 given up over 14 contests this year). K.C. managed 27/93/1 rushing vs. Oakland last week; San Francisco had 18/97/0 rushing in the Black Hole two weeks ago. Of late, the Raiders' defensive front is playing with some vigor.
Jackson is playing well in his featured role, but he's got an improving defensive front to deal with on Sunday - this looks like a neutral matchup for both sides (neither has a clear edge over the other).
