Steelers | Four signed to futures contracts Tue Jan 7, 04:16 PM
The Pittsburgh Steelers signed free-agent CB Devin Smith (Steelers), LB Daniel Molls (Chargers), RB Miguel Maysonet (Chargers) and WR Lanear Sampson (Colts) to Reserve/Futures contracts Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Footballguys view: Maysonet is the interesting player to watch here. He's a smaller back, but was ultra productive in college at Stony Brook. The 2013 undrafted free agent spent time with six different teams this season. Monitor him in super deep dynasty leagues. |

Colts | Make moves to get to 53-man roster Sat Aug 31, 05:29 PM
The Indianapolis Colts have waived LB Daniel Adongo, FS Larry Asante, C Thomas Austin, CB Marshay Green, DE Lawrence Guy, QB Chandler Harnish, FB Robert Hughes, OT Ben Ijalana, TE Dominique Jones, WR Jeremy Kelley, LB Josh McNary, DT Drake Nevis, CB Sheldon Price, WR Jabin Sambrano, WR Lanear Sampson, LB Monte Simmons, OT Bradley Sowell, DT Martin Tevaseu and OT Lee Ziemba. The team also waived injured OT Emmett Cleary (undisclosed), LB Shawn Loiseau (undisclosed) and CB Daxton Swanson (undisclosed).
Footballguys view: Harnish could stick around on the practice squad. The team doesn't need three active QBs because they have seasoned veteran Matt Hasselbeck behind superstar Andrew Luck. |

NFL | WRs take their shot at 40-yard dash Sun Feb 24, 08:36 PM
Baylor WR Lanear Sampson and Rutgers WR Mark Harrison posted times of 4.46 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine Sunday, Feb. 23, landing them just outside the Top 10 at their position. Georgia Tavarres King and Arkansas WR Cobi Hamilton managed a time of 4.47 seconds, Lehigh WR Ryan Spadola checked in at 4.48 seconds, while WR Tyrone Goard had a time of 4.50 seconds. Washington State WR Marquess Wilson, Southern California WR Robert Woods and Florida State WR Rodney Smith had times of 4.51 seconds, while Baylor WR Terrance Williams, West Virginia WR Stedman Bailey and Tennessee Tech's Da'Rick Rogers were clocked at 4.52 seconds.
Footballguys view: At about 6'3" 230, Harrison's time will raise eyebrows. He's a physical specimen, but has been inconsistent catching the ball. |
